Lu Ze and his companions find themselves pursued by powerful peak cosmic lord adversaries, Berica of the Mechanical Race and Shuo Yuan of the Star Spirit Race, within the treacherous Barren Realm. Sensing the danger, Lu Ze decides to stand his ground to test their newfound strength. However, the tense confrontation takes an unexpected turn when Shuo Yuan, realizing the presence of a fellow Star Spirit at Lu Ze's side, chooses to abandon his ally. Left isolated against Lu Ze's group and a horde of aggressive barren beasts, Berica suddenly finds her opportunistic alliance shattered.

Lu Ze and his companions were preparing to enter negotiations with Shuo Yuan when he abruptly vanished. The group stood there, dazed, before turning their attention toward Berica, whose face had twisted into a look of disdain.

A smile crept across their faces.

Qiuyue Hesha chuckled softly. “Little Brother Lu Ze, there are such a vast number of barren beasts lurking about, and they possess incredible might. If we were to be set upon, we would find ourselves in grave danger.”

Lu Ze grinned. “We shall merely intercede from a distance. As for the specifics of the skirmish…”

He promptly manifested several summoning crystals.

“Roars!!”

A formidable Qi erupted into the atmosphere, surging with intensity.

An array of beasts emerged, their presence flooding the nearby void with overwhelming pressure. From those just entering the cosmic lord state to those at the second and third tiers, the ranks continued to climb until reaching the eighth level of the cosmic lord state.

In total, twenty cosmic lord state beasts had been unleashed.

This display represented only a fraction of their spoils from the Pocket Hunting Dimension. In reality, Lu Ze possessed well over a hundred such summoning crystals in his possession.

Hunting down cosmic lord state beasts had become a trivial task for Lu Ze and the girls. Having spent an extensive period within the Pocket Hunting Dimension, they had accumulated a massive stockpile, and this collection was only bound to grow. Watching the sudden manifestation of these cosmic lord beasts, Berica was left completely stunned. How could this be possible?

How could an individual summon cosmic lord state beasts at will?!

Such a thing had never been witnessed before. Yet, they had summoned more than twenty in a single breath, with the most powerful among them reaching the eighth level of the cosmic lord state! She even sensed profound Dao runes radiating from several third and fourth-level specimens. Their Qi stood toe-to-toe with her own at equivalent cultivation levels, implying these creatures possessed talent and potential that rivaled her own.

She was the Queen of the Mechanical Race, a pinnacle prodigy of the entire universe. Truly, only those from other emperor races could ever hope to challenge her—yet here, a collection of mere beasts matched her brilliance.

“Roar!”

As the beasts lunged toward her, she remained unmoved, unfazed by their power. Just as she prepared to retaliate, she felt her physical movements and consciousness begin to lag. She immediately dispelled the effects of the Stone Transformation Divine Art and the Seduction God Art.

Following closely on the heels of her recovery, an assortment of blue beams and a concentrated cosmic blast tore through the air toward her.

Berica felt a shiver; these terrifying blue beams were operating at the level of Dao runes! How could there be so many? When she noticed the presence of two fake laws, her mind reeled. Was every single one of their Ice God Arts at the Dao rune level? And that man—was that truly a fake law?

Even the star spirit possessed a fake star law? Who exactly were these people?

When she had ascended to the cosmic lord state, she had merely forged her order Dao rune and possessed no knowledge of other god arts. Yet, these individuals wielded multiple Dao runes!

With a frigid, ruthless expression, Berica commanded, “Disperse!”

Instantly, their attacks seemed to vanish, wiped clean by an unseen force. However, the strikes from Lu Ze and Ying Ying held firm; they were reinforced by fake order laws that her own could not simply erase. Regardless, evading them proved trivial. At that exact moment, a thunderous roar echoed from behind.

She realized the barren beasts were seizing this window to assault her. A torrent of golden light condensed and streaked toward her. White-gold runes swirled around Berica, coalescing into a shimmering barrier—a shield forged of the fake order law.

The barrier rattled violently before spiderweb cracks began to spider across its surface. Berica was forced to retreat as her incredibly durable body suffered fissures.

“Curse you, you wretched low-level races!”

She retrieved a black metallic card and funneled her spirit force into it, unleashing a terrifying wave of pressure. Lu Ze and the girls were stunned as he scrambled to pull them to safety. Even as he attempted to retreat, he realized the space around them had been locked down; despite wielding a fake space law, he found himself unable to traverse the void.

“Damn it, we’re trapped!”

“What are we to do?”

They could not hope to escape the reach of an emperor. Surrounded by a hollow, consuming darkness that drank in even the light, a silhouette stood before them, acting as the nexus of the universe. It was the projection of the Mechanical Emperor.
