"No wandering off? Then why didn’t you come back all day?" Chen Tianmin’s expression shifted subtly as he glanced between Chen Yang and He Xiran.

Initially, He Xiran missed his implication, but once she understood, her face flushed crimson.

"Uncle! What are you implying? It’s not what you think at all. I was at Chen Yang’s house, keeping Little Flower company!" He Xiran quickly interjected to clarify.

Witnessing He Xiran’s embarrassment, Chen Tianmin couldn’t suppress a burst of laughter.

"Little Flower? What Little Flower are you referring to?" Chen Tianmin asked, amusement lacing his voice.

"It’s a mountain cat," He Xiran briefly recounted the events of the previous day.

This included the reasons behind her not returning home last night.

With that playful declaration, she turned and hurried away.
