The Imperial Capital's defenses were holding strong against an outside bombardment, with mages and soldiers working in tandem. As the mages unleashed coordinated magical attacks synchronized with drumbeats, a sudden wave of light signaled a new threat. Ethan appeared, effortlessly blasting through the city wall, and began a brutal interrogation of the defenders, killing them one by one until one finally broke and agreed to reveal how to deactivate the barrier.

The news reached the four families faster than they had expected. Reports of the attack on the city wall and the sudden appearance of an unknown powerful figure quickly spread through their forces, and the family heads immediately contacted one another.

A communication crystal lit up in front of each family head, and their figures appeared inside the same space. Cedric Ambrose, Valen Halcrest, Garrick Cravik and Dorian Devine looked at one another through the crystal.

Their expressions were ugly and serious.

The silence was enough to tell them that the situation had changed.

Cedric Ambrose was the first to speak. His fingers pressed against the armrest as he looked at the others.

"So they finally made their move."

Garrick Cravik frowned deeply.

"They didn't even give us another chance to negotiate."

Valen Halcrest slowly shook his head.

"We should have expected this. They remained silent for an entire week, and now they have suddenly attacked the Capital."

Dorian Devine's eyes narrowed.

"It seems they were not sitting around discussing our demands. They were preparing to take us down."

Cedric's expression became darker.

"How many of them have entered the Capital?"

"We don't know yet," Valen replied. "The reports are still coming in, but whoever attacked the wall is extremely powerful."

"I wonder who is leading the charge there?"

Garrick clenched his fist.

"Could it be one of the Emperors?"

Dorian shook his head.

"I don't think so."

"Then who?"

Dorian remained silent for a moment before speaking.

"Whoever it is, they are clearly not here to negotiate anymore."

The four family heads exchanged another look.

If they allowed someone to break through the Capital now, everything they had been trying to preserve could collapse.

Cedric slowly stood from his chair.

"We can't keep waiting."

Valen looked toward him.

Cedric nodded.

"If we continue sitting here, we will lose the initiative. We need to know who has entered the Capital and stop them before they reach the center."

Garrick also stood up and tightened the straps around his gloves.

"Then let's go."

Dorian slowly rose from his seat as well. The faint smile that he usually carried was completely gone.

"It's time to showcase to the world the real hidden power of Aristocrats."

Cedric nodded.

"Then let's move."

The communication connection ended.

Inside the four different estates, the family heads immediately began preparing themselves. Their hidden forces were alerted, and the powerful figures who had been waiting for their orders began moving toward the designated locations.

Cedric Ambrose walked through a long corridor before stopping in front of a large portal. The magic formation beneath his feet began to glow, and a deep hum filled the area.

He looked at the soldiers waiting behind him.

"Stay here and protect the family."

After giving the order, Cedric stepped forward and entered the portal.

At the same time, Valen Halcrest appeared before another portal inside the Halcrest estate. He adjusted his robes and took one final look behind him before stepping through the glowing passage.

Garrick Cravik did the same.

The moment the portal opened, he walked forward without hesitation and disappeared inside.

Dorian Devine was the last to arrive. He stood before the portal for a moment while looking at the message that had just arrived from the Capital.

His eyes became cold.

"It had been quite long since I stretched my muscles."

...

The situation on the wall had already fallen into complete chaos. The mages had stopped their attacks, and several of the guards were backing away from Ethan with fear written across their faces. Some had dropped their weapons, while others stood frozen and did not know whether they should run or continue fighting.

"Do you think if you all don't speak I can't pry? Fine. I am gonna fucking kill until no answer."

His figure disappeared again.

The next moment, chaos spread across the wall.

Ethan moved through the group with frightening speed, appearing beside one person and then another. Whenever someone refused to answer, he struck them down and moved to the next. The people around him tried to defend themselves, but none of them could properly follow his movements.

"Tell me how to turn off the barrier."

"I don't know!"

Another person was thrown aside.

"Tell me."

"I won't tell you!"

Ethan moved again.

The commanders watched in horror as their people were defeated one after another. The confident formation that had been standing on the wall only moments ago was now completely shaken, and nobody knew who would be targeted next.

Ethan stopped before another man and stared directly into his eyes.

"Tell me how to turn off the barrier."

The man looked at the bodies scattered around him and finally broke down. His face was pale, and his voice trembled as he raised both hands.

"I will tell... So please don't kill me... Ahahha!"

One of the men finally lost his courage. His legs trembled badly, and he almost fell to his knees as he raised both hands.

"I will tell you! I will tell you where the barrier is controlled!"

Ethan stopped and looked toward him.

"Speak."

The man swallowed hard and quickly pointed toward the ground beneath the wall.

"Underground! Beneath the walls, there are large pillars. That's where the barrier is operated. I don't know much about the other things."

His voice became shaky as he looked at Ethan.

"The pillars are connected to the magic formations underground. That's all I know."

The man trembled even more and shook his head.

"I don't know anything else, please don't kill me."

Ethan stared at him for a few seconds.

The man lowered his head and waited for his fate, but Ethan simply turned away.

Without saying another word, his figure disappeared from the wall.

The next moment, a loud explosion came from beneath the ground.

BOOM!

Ethan had forced his way into the underground cabin where the barrier's control system was located. He did not bother searching for a proper entrance. He simply broke through the stone and entered.

The underground area was filled with large magic formations, pillars and equipment that supported the barrier above. Mages and guards inside immediately panicked when they saw Ethan appear.

Before they could react, Ethan moved forward.

BOOM!

A huge pillar was smashed apart by his fist.

The magic formation beneath it cracked, and the light running through the lines suddenly disappeared.

Ethan continued moving deeper inside.

Anything that came into his path was destroyed. Stone walls were broken, magic circles were crushed and equipment was thrown aside as he forced his way through the underground cabin.

The people inside tried to stop him, but Ethan did not slow down.

He continued forward while searching for the main control point of the barrier.

If the barrier was being maintained by these underground formations, then he would simply destroy the source.
