Odyssey of the Blind God Chapter 758 Fated Fight (5/10)
Previously on Odyssey of the Blind God...
Nial held a complete understanding of the golden and silver eyes' exceptional power. After all, he had possessed them for over a century.
His comprehensive knowledge stemmed from the lessons learned within the Witness State, specifically from Ayase Silvereye, the former heiress of the Silver Eye Clan, who had imparted all her secrets to him.
With his aunt's invaluable assistance, Nial had spent more than a hundred years uncovering the profound mysteries associated with his unique eyes.
The Advocate of the Pryard, being alone in her understanding, was naturally unaware of the secrets and enigmas that Nial had managed to unravel.
"Without the proper cultivation techniques, these eyes are inherently flawed. Even transforming them into a Divinity might not rectify all imperfections. She would need to comprehend the source of these flaws to truly conquer them!" Nial’s fist tightened as he subtly retreated.
He recognized the necessity of leveraging his superior comprehension to overcome the Advocate of the Pryard, though the exact method remained uncertain.
The situation was somewhat intricate.
Even the golden eye possessed its own set of flaws, a fact Nial only discovered after meticulously practicing each of the Silver Eye Clan's secret techniques. Having mastered them at a young age, he further refined them in the years preceding his ascension to the throne.
"By making the Silver and Golden Eyes her Divinity, the Advocate likely eliminated the subtle delay effect. Her reaction speed surpasses mine, even with my other four senses compensating for my sight. This leaves… the overflow as the most viable method to overwhelm her, is that correct?"
Nial had personally witnessed the phenomenon of an overflow. His eyes possessed the capability to perceive far beyond ordinary sight, a remarkable advantage that also carried inherent risks.
An overwhelming influx of information and spiritual energy within the visual field could incapacitate the eyes and overwhelm the mind responsible for processing every single detail perceived.
This was comparable to his own visualization, perception range, and Qi sense. The sole distinction lay in the fact that Nial's Qi Sense and perception range posed an even greater peril than the overflow from Divine Eyes. The sheer volume of information he absorbed from his surroundings, in every direction, was sometimes so grotesque it induced nausea.
Regardless, Nial developed the ability to disregard certain streams of information even before they reached his consciousness. He had never been able to fully utilize all the data that entered his mind in the first place. Consequently, by filtering out extraneous information, Nial managed to lead a life with significantly reduced suffering.
Nevertheless, there were still occasions where he found himself overwhelmed by the sheer magnitude of data flooding his mind.
As Nial Lacardia, he too had experienced such moments. The higher his cultivation rank advanced, the more adept he became at utilizing the available information. Yet, paradoxically, this also led to a slight decrease in his vigilance.
The Advocate of the Pryard regained her eyesight only after achieving the status of a Divine Being. She was already a Peak Ancient God, possessing combat prowess equivalent to Divine Gods—some even claimed superior—before she disassembled her Divinity to forge a more potent one.
She acquired Nial's eyes less than 150 years ago. In fact, it was several decades shy of 150 years. It was plausible she had learned to process the incoming information and harness most of the abilities inherent in the Divine Eyes.
However, she should never have felt the necessity to discard superfluous information. The cognitive capacity of a Peak Ancient God’s brain would not necessitate the discarding of data. She could readily absorb far more information than was required for processing from her field of view.
Therefore… what if he exploited this very fact?
The idea seemed quite plausible.
Nial's mind whirred, and the gears of his intellect began to turn with remarkable speed.
Now that he had devised a new strategy against the Advocate of the Pryard, Nial possessed two trump cards.
The first was his intimate knowledge of the golden and silver eyes' inherent flaws, and the second was Psy's stored power, coupled with the natural enhancement provided by the Dominion ability.
If he were to combine Psy's power with Dominion, further amplified by Crimson Chaos, after ensnaring her by inducing an overflow in her eyes, he should be capable of unleashing a devastating attack to end the conflict definitively.
The prerequisites for ensuring the success of his strike were minimal. In fact, he only required two conditions, which could arguably be condensed into one: an opportune moment.
The Advocate of the Pryard needed to let down her guard, convinced that victory was within her grasp. Only then could he overpower her.
With this strategy solidified, the corners of Nial's lips curved upward. His demeanor shifted, and his approach to the engagement underwent a complete transformation.
It was time to escalate the confrontation, pushing her to unleash her full Divinity in an attempt to overwhelm him in return.
"Come at me! Show me what you've got, you fucking bitch!!!" he bellowed at the zenith of his voice.
Though her words had been forceful, the Pryard Advocate regarded her foe with remarkable composure. Her gaze, devoid of emotion, swept over the shift in the Dark Successor's offensive tactics. It was evident he was formulating a new strategy, yet she felt no particular apprehension. The Dark Successor had proclaimed her imminent demise, but she remained standing, unwavering. He, in contrast, had pushed his Cursed Divinity to its absolute limit, consuming his own physical form to amplify his might. She, however, had merely drawn upon her Divinity's power while continuously assimilating the divine energy within the sacred hall.
Opening her arms wide, the Advocate initiated a surge of power. Concentric ripples of divine energy emanated from her entire being, and within mere moments, two formidable spheres of divine energy materialized. These spheres rapidly expanded before being unleashed.
Once propelled, the orbs carved a resplendent path through the divine realm, crossing the very air in an unwavering trajectory. Less than a single second elapsed before these orbs intercepted Nial.
Despite the presence of only two spheres, Nial's momentum gradually waned until he came to a complete standstill. His features contorted, and he wrestled with an immense impulse to cry out in sheer astonishment. Even deprived of his customary perception and mana sense, his intrinsic connection to the darkness he commanded sufficed to discern an object of unimaginable power hurtling towards him.
An uncountable cascade of divine light erupted from the twin orbs, streaking through the divine hall like projectiles. They dispersed in a magnificent fountain, etching dazzling arcs across the heavens before descending. The beams fractured and multiplied repeatedly, transforming into dozens, then hundreds, until the sky of the divine realm was awash with radiant light. By the moment these beams impacted the ground, their sheer number had swelled into the millions. Their singular focus, however, remained unchanged.
