Nexus Ascension: My Comprehension Defies the Heaven Chapter 661: Daoist From Higher Realm

Grey thought about it more carefully.
The better the fate of the people living inside an Inner World, the better their talent would become. With greater talent came a higher chance of transcendence, and greater transcendence would ultimately lead to a more stable generation of World Force.
Of course, Chaos Power could achieve something similar.
However, its effectiveness and potency would be far lower compared to Fate Power.
Fate itself was illusory.
Under normal circumstances, there was no definite way to find or obtain it. It was an ultimate force that transcended even the space-time continuum.
Hence, it couldn’t be found through ordinary means.
However, Grey was certain that some kind of artifact or similar object containing Fate Power existed somewhere.
It could be hidden in Hell.
Or perhaps somewhere within the endless reality.
Either way, Grey needed information.
Immediately after making his decision, he left the room.
He soon found Seraphina walking through one of the palace corridors.
"Hey, Seraphina. Do you know anything about Fate Power or any artifacts related to it?" he asked casually.
Seraphina became thoughtful after hearing his question.
"I don’t know much about it," she admitted. "But I can ask my father. He might know something."
Grey nodded.
Then, he followed Seraphina toward the throne room.
The White Devil King looked up as they entered.
His silver eyes studied Grey with a hint of curiosity.
"Back so soon?" the King asked. "What brings you here?"
"I need information about Fate Power," Grey replied directly. "Or any artifact that might contain it."
The King raised an eyebrow.
"Why would you need something like that?"
Grey had already prepared a lie for this situation.
"I’m researching ways to strengthen my techniques," he explained. "Fate Power could help stabilize certain techniques I’ve been developing."
The King studied him for a brief moment before seemingly accepting his explanation.
"There might be something," the King said after a moment of thought.
Grey’s attention immediately focused on him.
"It happened several million years ago. A Daoist from the Higher Realm once came here."
Hearing this, Grey listened intently.
"That Daoist left behind a sacred mountain within the Sea of Despair in the Ancient Hell. The Sea of Despair is where the despair of both Hell and the endless reality flows through. Its influence even extends toward the Higher Realm."
The King paused briefly.
Then, his expression became more serious.
"The Sacred Mountain appears to function as some kind of seal. It prevents the Sea of Despair from acting out of control and flooding into other realms."
His silver eyes narrowed slightly.
"And it has done so for millions of years through the use of Fate Power, or at least that is what I believe."
"Can you give me the coordinates to that place?" Grey immediately asked after hearing the King’s words.
The King slowly nodded.
"Sure. I can give them to you."
However, his expression soon turned serious.
"But you should be cautious. There are 13th Rank beings within that area."
He looked directly at Grey.
"The Sea of Despair is not a place to be taken lightly."
Before Grey could respond, Seraphina suddenly stepped forward.
"Father, I want to go with Grey as well."
The White Devil King’s expression immediately turned stern.
"Absolutely not."
His voice was firm.
"It’s far too dangerous for you."
"But I need training," Seraphina argued. "I can’t remain sheltered inside the palace forever."
Her expression became stubborn.
"How am I supposed to grow stronger if I never face any real challenges?"
"There’s a difference between training and suicide," the King countered.
Seraphina crossed her arms.
"I’m going whether you approve of it or not."
The King stared at his daughter for a long moment.
His expression clearly showed how frustrated he was by her determination.
Finally, he sighed.
"Fine."
He reluctantly accepted her decision.
"But you will not go without protection."
Immediately after, he turned toward one of his advisors.
"Summon Commander Vaelon and assign three of our strongest 13th Rank guards to accompany them."
The advisor immediately bowed.
Then, he hurried out of the throne room.
The King looked back toward Grey with a serious expression.
"These guards will protect both of you during the journey."
His tone became increasingly stern.
"Do not do anything reckless. If you encounter something beyond your abilities, retreat immediately."
Grey nodded.
"Alright. I’ll keep your words in mind."
Within an hour, Commander Vaelon and three imposing 13th Rank guards arrived at the palace entrance.
Vaelon’s silver eyes regarded Grey with the same suspicion as before.
However, he didn’t say anything.
Grey briefly returned to his room to inform Eterna about the plan.
Immediately after he entered, she materialized beside him.
"The Sea of Despair sounds interesting," Eterna commented after Grey explained the situation. "I’ll come along through the Information Layer and keep watch."
"Sounds good," Grey agreed.
Then, they headed out together and met up with Seraphina and the guards at the city gates.
Seraphina took another airplane from her storage space and placed it on the ground before them.
"This one is faster," she said with a smile. "We should reach the Sea of Despair in around six hours."
Everyone boarded the aircraft and took their seats.
Commander Vaelon sat near the front alongside the other guards.
His posture remained rigid and alert.
Meanwhile, Seraphina entered the pilot’s seat and guided the aircraft into the crimson sky.
Grey watched through the window as the White Devil settlement gradually became smaller behind them.
The landscape of the Ancient Hell stretched endlessly beneath the aircraft.
Hours passed as they flew over dead forests, ruined temples, and rivers filled with dark liquid.
Grey looked forward to seeing the Sea of Despair.
He wanted to know just what kind of power the accumulated despair of myriad beings could create.
From the White Devil King’s words, it was clear that there were 13th Rank beings living within the Sea of Despair.
And apparently, those powerful beings had been created from it.
Grey became thoughtful.
However, the more he thought about it, the more it seemed to make sense.
The Sea of Despair contained the accumulated despair of countless beings.
And despair itself was a fundamental part of the reality.
Eventually, the terrain beneath them began to change.
The black stone gradually turned into a sickly gray color, while a thick mist began forming around the aircraft.
"We’re approaching the Sea of Despair," Seraphina announced.
At his words, Grey focused on his conciosuness.
He could feel it more clearly now.
The moment they approached the Sea of Despair, Grey sensed a faint but unmistakable presence.
The Immortal Energy Of Immortal Cultivators of the higher realm.
It was weak, but Grey could sense it clearly.
It was radiating from somewhere within the Sea of Despair.
Grey’s eyes narrowed with interest.
