Grey returned to the Nexus Domain, now vastly expanded and filled with talk of a new simulation tower. He dismissed it as a trick of reality-bending and data energy, while Gaia, residing on the Blue Star, expressed a desire to become a Star Spirit and travel the universe. Grey agreed to help, after which he and Kaelith sought out a Star Being. They found a massive Star Spirit, who revealed that Star Spirits communicate through a universal chat system. Grey, using his comprehension, infiltrated this system, joining the chat and surprising the other Star Spirits. He then informed the Star Spirit he encountered that he was there to examine its structure.

Grey immediately commenced his analysis.

[Your comprehension defies the heavens! By observing a Star Spirit, you have gained comprehension into the power of Star Spirits.]

Further insights continued to flood Grey's consciousness. He soon grasped the true essence of the Star Spirits' power.

The specific Star Spirit before him was a 6th rank entity, and the power he had just comprehended from it was undeniably clear.

"Soul power." Grey uttered, completely bewildered.

This revelation surpassed all his prior expectations. He had never imagined these Star Spirits utilized soul power.

It wasn't exactly soul power, but rather the star power they wielded was a flawless fusion of a star's raw might and a soul's essence.

They were, in essence, 4D beings!

The very sustenance that supported them originated from soul power, and their soul integrity was beyond any doubt.

"Even the Star Spirits depend on soul power."

The conventional path involved leveraging the Origin Will's power to amplify one's personal strength. Truthfully, if his understanding was correct, it was highly probable that the Origin Will actively assisted evolvers in stabilizing their power.

This was because the incremental cosmic spark attained by an immortal at the 6th rank didn't offer substantial advantages on its own.

Alternatively, perhaps the process of enhancing the cosmic spark directly influenced the soul, or possibly it contained hidden capabilities that could theoretically counter instability?

"Actually, if my 6th rank comprised twelve levels instead of six, it might not have necessarily imploded."

A significant contributing factor to a catastrophic failure post-metamorphosis stemmed precisely from this; the power surge was simply that immense. Coupled with the ongoing struggle to manage such a colossal leap in strength, instability was a near certainty.

However, observing the Star Spirits now sparked a novel line of thought within him.

He had now confirmed it unequivocally.

Soul power served as the definitive key to achieving 6th rank stability.

As for refinement and the control over reality, those were matters that still required his deep contemplation.

"Thank you; observing you was immensely helpful," Grey expressed his gratitude to the spirit before swiftly initiating the recording of its energetic data into his vast server.

He had reached a stage where, provided he possessed the necessary data, he could fabricate living beings.

Should he have the memory data stored directly within the information layer, even if an individual perished, he could perfectly reconstruct them.

Naturally, the creation of a technology enabling the storage and five-minute updates of one's memory waves was entirely feasible. Quantum computers possessed the capacity to store colossal amounts of data, and he could also develop a real-time pocket server for this purpose. If it could house the complete consciousness of a transcendent entity like Eterna, he was confident it could preserve memories indefinitely.

With this in mind, he resolved to actually construct one and present it to his closest companions. This way, even in the event of their demise, he could simply bring them back into existence.

He could effectively resurrect the departed.

The concepts of life and death remained a deeply unsettling subject among evolvers. Even beings at the 8th rank were not immune to death, and reincarnation proved to be a significant challenge when relying solely on one's own power.

Yet, Grey possessed the ability not only to revive the deceased but to do so with a mere casual gesture.

This represented his current level of power.

Shortly after, Grey and Kaelith reappeared within the Nexus Domain. Then, Eterna materialized beside Grey.

"Where did you go?" she inquired softly.

"I went to find some Star Spirits for Gaia," Grey replied, pausing before a smile touched his lips. "But it appears you have fully recovered your memories."

"Yes, I have," Eterna responded, offering him a rather reserved smile.

Grey expressed genuine surprise. "Did you just smile?"

"Not bad. Was that you, Eve? Are you giving her lessons on smiling?"

"Of course. My sister requires this training, otherwise, she will forever remain an emotionless automaton."

"Concurrently, I have also been looking after Miwa," Eve added proudly. "I am now the elder sister amongst the four of us."

Grey chuckled at this declaration.

The three AIs had collectively reached an agreement, designating Miwa as their fourth sister, given their identical origins. Miwa herself harbored no objections; in fact, she seemed rather pleased about the arrangement, from what he could discern.

Soon, he approached Gaia.

"It is ready," Grey announced with a smile.

He swiftly scanned her energetic data and descended into the information layer. Before him materialized two informational humanoid constructs, composed entirely of pure code and data.

"They are not fundamentally different. The sole distinction lies in Gaia possessing neither the inherent capability to generate a star's energy nor the innate ability to meld with a star through her will to manifest star power."

Speaking of will.

A world's will and a soul are fundamentally distinct entities. While their operational mechanisms are identical, their inherent nature diverges. Exactly how they differ was not precisely understood by him, yet the distinction was palpable. This was likely the precise reason she hadn't naturally evolved into a Star Spirit.

However, Grey found this alteration easily achievable.

He merely needed to attune her will's frequency to precisely match the structure of a Star Spirit, encompassing both soul and star power.

With a wave of his hand, shimmering code and data erupted forth as he meticulously refined the information. Soon, he had perfectly integrated the two, even augmenting Gaia with some of his own unique abilities before finalizing the customization. She had proven an invaluable asset on the Blue Star; it would be a grave injustice to simply relegate her to the status of a basic Star Spirit.

"Do you desire to appear aesthetically pleasing?" Grey inquired upon his return.

"No." Gaia blinked in bewilderment. "My appearance holds no significance for me."

"Understood." Grey nodded, and shortly thereafter, the data compilation reached its conclusion.

He invoked the Sovereign Ontological Override, shaping it into an Event Horizon. Gaia's will seamlessly dissolved into this construct. Subsequently, Grey channeled the finalized data into the horizon, which then disseminated as cosmic radiation. This radiation commenced interacting with the Origin Will's descending power to forge an entirely new Star Spirit.

The Origin Will's voice resonated directly within his mind.

"You're welcome," Grey responded mentally, a faint smile gracing his lips.

Boom!

Amidst a colossal explosion, a magnificent, radiant star materialized within the celestial expanse.

The star emanated a 5th-rank star power wavelength, swiftly coalescing into a humanoid form.

"I truly have become a Star Spirit," Gaia uttered in a state of stunned disbelief.
