Whoosh! Grey’s vision rapidly began to shift. In the next moment, a look of grim understanding washed over his face. The world had turned completely pitch black in his mind’s eye, but this darkness was not actively targeting the people in his immediate vicinity.

"It is the geniuses," Grey mumbled under his breath. The suffocating dark aura was heavily emitting directly from the waiting areas where the tournament participants were gathered. If no one took drastic action today, they would all die without fail.

But as he observed the threads of fate more closely, he realized the bad omens were bleeding into the surrounding environment. It was not just limited to the young competitors. A massive calamity was about to befall the entire Origin Planet, the exact place where the Grand Arbiter and the most important political figures of the cosmos currently resided.

"But what reason could possibly make Tian Yuan so wary to the point that he did not bother attacking me?" Grey pondered silently.

So far, every single bad omen he had seen of this magnitude was strictly related to the Abyss. The Abyss was not a natural part of this universe. It had zero connection to its established fate. Whenever a massive Abyssal invasion occurred, the gears of fate violently turned for the worse, completely blinding traditional seers.

This pitch-black omen meant only one thing. The Abyss was coming. And he honestly did not know exactly how much time they had left before all hell broke loose.

Shaking off the dark premonition, Grey followed his family. They soon arrived at the exclusive VIP section designed specifically for the highest echelons of the Crown Expanse. It was a massive, open-air balcony overlooking the grand arenas. The seating arrangement was strictly hierarchical. The highest, most opulent seats at the very peak were reserved solely for the Grand Arbiter, his prime disciples, and the Judicator.

As soon as the Arclights stepped into their designated sector, two imposing figures with striking silver hair approached them. It was the leadership of the Einsworth family. They were the direct, bitter rivals to the Arclight family within the Aeonic Divine Kingdom.

Seeing them approach, Emperor Theo casually glanced in their direction. The silver-haired couple swiftly bowed with practiced respect.

"Greetings, Emperor Theo, Empress Ava."

The royal couple nodded in acknowledgment. "Greetings, Duke William Einsworth, Duchess Freya Einsworth," Theo replied smoothly.

The Arclights and the Einsworths were the two most prestigious Duke families in the kingdom, and their rivalry was legendary.

"It looks like the Arclights reached the stands before us," William Einsworth chuckled softly. He locked eyes with Anderson, who simply looked back at him with a calm, unbothered smile. "Greetings," William spoke politely.

"Greetings to you as well," Anderson replied smoothly.

"This time around, it looks like your Jeremiah and Juli will be trying to steal the spotlight." William let out a highly confident sigh. "But you cannot blame us if our two highly capable sons, John and James, win against them. They have been putting in immense work secretly. By the end of this tournament, my eldest son, John, will be renowned as a peerless genius blacksmith and an official Arbiter Candidate."

Anderson’s expression twitched in annoyance. This guy really did not waste a single second to flaunt their rivalry, did he?

Coughing lightly to dismiss the bragging Duke, Anderson turned his attention back to the Emperor, who was seated one massive step higher than the Duke families. The seating tiers were distinctly divided to show status.

The current level housed the Dukes. One step above them sat the Emperors of the various Divine Kingdoms. Directly above the Emperors was the supreme peak for the Grand Arbiter’s faction. And notably, there were still several luxurious seats placed dangerously close to the Arbiter’s level. Those were strictly assigned to the arrogant Dragon Clan.

Over the next hour, the grand stadium filled up. The other ruling Emperors of the prominent Divine Kingdoms made their grand entrances.

The Emperor of the Astral Empyrean Kingdom descended from a shining golden ship and immediately began exchanging politically charged words with Theo. They were all fierce rivals on a cosmic scale. As soon as he appeared, he loudly began to boast about the terrifying strength of his own kingdom’s team that had entered the tournament.

Soon, the other prominent monarchs arrived in a dazzling display of cosmic wealth and power. The rulers of the Cosmic Ascendant Divine Kingdom, the Archon Divine Kingdom, the Radiant Light Divine Kingdom, and the Celestial House Divine Kingdom all took their respective thrones. Alongside the Astral Empyrean and Aeonic Kingdoms, these factions represented the absolute zenith of human civilization in the cosmos.

Likewise, their respective subordinate Duke families also flooded into the VIP sectors and began to mingle, scheme, and boast. Of course, the Arclight family was the current center of attention. Countless eyes darted their way, mostly thanks to the massive commotion Grey had just caused with the Dragon Clan outside.

Directly below the VIP tiers were thousands of capsulated luxury rooms designed to accommodate lesser noble families and wealthy spectators who had traveled across galaxies to see the event live. And naturally, this entire tournament was being universally broadcasted to the entire starry sky. Even the ordinary citizens back on Star Blue could tune in and watch it right now on the CosmoWeb.

Suddenly, the deafening chatter of millions of spectators instantly died down. A highly oppressive, supreme aura descended directly from the sky.

Whrmm!

A blinding, multi-colored light tore through the atmosphere, descending gracefully onto the absolute highest peak of the stadium. Everyone froze in sheer awe, turning their heads toward the source in perfect unison.

As the light faded, two figures were revealed. There stood a man who looked to be in his early twenties. He had flowing golden hair and radiant, golden phoenix-like eyes that oversaw the entire stadium with a highly casual, warm smile on his face. Right beside him stood a man in a pristine white robe with dark black hair and a freezing, indifferent look.

It was none other than the Grand Arbiter, Matthew Mitler, and his right hand, the Prime Judicator, Tian Yuan.
