Mystic Eyes: My Eyes Steal the Laws of Cultivation Chapter 516: Discoveries

Kyrian did not notice the exact moment when he fell asleep.
His consciousness simply sank, like a stone allowing itself to be carried away by the current of a deep river.
The exhaustion of the day, the hours of saber training, the intense cultivation session, the blacksmithing lesson, and everything slowly dissolved, giving way to a state between wakefulness and sleep.
First came the ordinary darkness of slumber. That familiar darkness that envelops the mind when the body finally rests, a veil of oblivion that erases the worries of the day.
Then... something far deeper.
It was as if he had crossed an invisible layer between two worlds, a boundary that could neither be seen nor touched, yet existed, firm and unchanging. Kyrian felt his body disappear, his awareness separating from flesh and bone, drifting through a limitless void.
His consciousness slowly sank into absolute silence.
...
...
When he opened his eyes again, he showed no surprise.
The endless darkness was still there, unchanged, eternal. No sky. No ground. No stars. No direction. Only that black expanse that seemed to exist beyond reality itself, a void that defied every law of physics and logic.
Kyrian remained motionless for a few moments, his violet eyes adjusting to the absence of light. There was nothing to adjust to, the darkness was absolute, without any variation in shade or depth. Yet his special eyes, even within this dream, could perceive far beyond what ordinary eyes ever could.
Ever since he had arrived at the Sky Caravan, every night had ended in exactly the same way. This dream was no ordinary dream; it was a visit, a journey to a place that existed beyond the waking world.
He had grown accustomed to it. The first time had been shocking, the second unsettling, the third intriguing. Now, it was simply part of his nightly routine.
He breathed slowly, feeling nonexistent air fill his lungs. This time, there was neither anxiety nor fear. Only curiosity, a calm, patient curiosity waiting for answers.
That was when it appeared.
A voice.
Ancient and profound. Devoid of any human emotion. It was as though the void itself had learned to speak, using words that carried the weight of forgotten ages.
Even so... there was something different about that voice. A quality Kyrian could not immediately identify, yet one that resonated somewhere deep within his consciousness.
Pain. A sorrow so profound that it seemed to span countless eras, a suffering that knew neither the limits of time nor space. Every syllable carried an anguish that seemed to come from the depths of the universe.
"...Help me..."
The voice echoed slowly throughout the darkness, its words spreading like ripples across a silent lake.
"...Please..."
Kyrian closed his eyes for a moment, allowing the voice to sink into his mind.
It was the same voice. The same presence he had heard on previous nights. But now it seemed weaker, more exhausted. As though every word demanded an immense effort, as though speaking itself had become an unbearable burden.
Without hesitation, Kyrian began to walk.
His footsteps made no sound. In that place, there was no wind, no gravity, no sense of distance. The ground beneath his feet was invisible, yet solid, a surface that existed only through perception, yet supported his weight.
Even so... the farther he walked, the stronger that presence became. The pain. The sorrow. The silent plea for help. Everything grew more intense, closer, more real.
After some time... a glow began to appear in the distance.
No. It was not exactly light. It was a radiance, a colossal reflection that seemed to come from an immense source hidden within the depths of the darkness.
Kyrian quickened his pace, his determination growing with every step. Then he began to run, his invisible feet striking the invisible ground with an urgency he could not explain.
The closer he came... the larger that presence became. It rose before him like a mountain emerging from the mist, its sheer magnitude crushing every sense of scale.
Until at last, he saw it.
The gigantic eye.
Its size was impossible to measure. Its vertical pupil resembled a rift in reality itself, an abyss stretching beyond human comprehension. Its iris contained patterns reminiscent of galaxies, spirals of light and darkness slowly turning in a cosmic dance.
Even now, after seeing it so many times, Kyrian still felt an overwhelming sense of insignificance before such an existence.
Golden chains crossed its iris, like veins of light pulsing with a life of their own.
And yet... there was only sorrow. A sorrow that seemed to have existed since before the birth of the world itself, a suffering that transcended both time and space.
That was when Kyrian noticed another presence.
Standing before the colossal eye was a feminine figure. Just as before, her form was shrouded in shadows that seemed to move with a life of their own.
She kept one hand resting against the immense surface of the eye. Her fingers gently caressed the gigantic iris, tracing invisible patterns across its radiant surface.
At the same time, she whispered words Kyrian simply could not hear, as though space itself refused to carry those sounds, as though a sacred silence surrounded that moment.
Kyrian slowed his pace, his footsteps becoming more cautious. He stopped a few meters away, respecting the space between the woman and the eye.
"Hmm... Hey."
His voice broke the silence, the words echoing through the darkness like stones cast into a still lake.
The woman did not answer immediately. She continued stroking the eye for several more seconds, her fingers moving in a slow, hypnotic rhythm.
Only after nearly an entire minute had passed... did she let out a long sigh. A sound that carried the weight of years of solitude.
"You’re here again."
Her voice was calm, very different from the distorted voice Kyrian believed he had heard before. There was something about it that was difficult to describe, a familiarity that seemed to come from somewhere beyond this place.
Then, she finally turned around.
Once again... Kyrian could not see her face. Her entire body remained concealed beneath a dark mist, a veil of shadows that seemed to move with her every breath. It was as though she were wrapped in an impossible layer, a barrier that not even his special eyes could penetrate.
At least... not the eyes he possessed within this dream.
She was only a silhouette. Without a face, without an expression, without an identity.
And yet... the woman seemed able to see him perfectly.
