My Talent's Name Is Generator Chapter 1196: Authority Of Demigod
Previously on My Talent's Name Is Generator...
The golden aura surrounding Aurora spread outward and wrapped around my body, forming an invisible barrier between me and the yellow-robed man. The oppressive force that had been crushing me immediately weakened, and I could breathe without feeling as though my lungs were being compressed.
I placed one hand against the empty space beneath me and slowly pushed myself upright. My body was still trembling from the nightmare, but the moment I regained control of my consciousness, my regeneration began taking effect. The wounds covering my body started closing at a visible pace, broken bones restored themselves, and the cracks that had appeared across my soul gradually began healing under the circulation of my Soul Force.
Aurora stepped forward, positioning herself between me and the Demigod.
Her golden eyes remained fixed on the man.
"Klaus, are you intending to break the rules of the Null Realm by attacking Billion?"
The name struck me immediately.
Klaus.
The signature I had seen on the Contract suddenly made sense. The Demigod standing before me was the very same Warden whose name had been written upon the agreement.
Klaus showed no reaction to the accusation. His golden eyes remained as calm as ever as he looked at Aurora.
"What rules have I broken?"
His gaze shifted briefly toward me before returning to her.
"And who are you to judge whether I have broken them?"
Aurora didn’t answer immediately. Instead, she reached toward me, and I instinctively handed her the contract. She took it calmly and held the burning document between two fingers before turning her attention back toward Klaus.
"Then answer me this. Why were you attempting to take the contract from him when it was already being abolished? And why did you drag his consciousness into an illusion?"
Klaus gave a small shrug.
"He is too weak."
His voice remained completely indifferent.
"My aura affected his consciousness. I did not intentionally pull him into anything."
Aurora stared at him for several moments before her expression gradually softened.
"Is that so?"
Klaus simply nodded.
Aurora looked down at the contract in her hand.
"Then I suppose you will have no objections if I burn it."
Klaus’s eyes shifted toward the document.
Aurora raised it slightly.
The moment her golden Soul Force touched the contract, the invisible authority that had frozen it disappeared.
Time resumed.
The yellow flames that had previously been suspended in midair immediately surged across the contract once again, consuming the ancient clauses and signatures as the document began burning in Aurora’s hand.
Klaus watched her in silence.
Then he raised one hand.
A small flame appeared above his palm.
It looked almost insignificant compared to the enormous power he had displayed earlier, but the moment that flame appeared, the temperature of the surrounding Soul Sea rose sharply. The darkness beneath us began glowing red as heat spread through the void.
Aurora glanced at the flame and then spoke without taking her eyes away from Klaus.
"Watch carefully, Billion. You have reached the threshold, but what you have now is still only the beginning. A Saint studies Laws and uses them to construct a Domain. A Demigod goes further."
Klaus flicked his finger.
The tiny flame shot toward us. Aurora raised her hand, and the space between us suddenly became distorted. The flame entered the distortion and disappeared before reaching her.
She continued speaking calmly.
"Authority is what allows a Demigod to take everything they have comprehended and turn it into something that belongs to their existence."
The flame suddenly reappeared behind us. Aurora turned slightly and waved her hand.
The flame vanished again.
"This is Klaus’s Authority."
Her eyes remained fixed on him.
"Burning Revenge and he uses Fire Laws as its embodiment."
Klaus finally moved.
He took a single step forward, and the small flame that had previously disappeared suddenly multiplied into dozens. They spread around us before converging into a single stream of fire that swept across the Soul Sea.
Aurora raised both hands.
The surrounding world immediately changed.
The Soul Sea disappeared from my vision and was replaced by an endless night sky filled with countless stars. The flames continued approaching us, but they seemed to move through an entirely different reality.
"Dream is mine," Aurora said. "It allows me to create a layer of existence that does not have to follow the ordinary rules of reality. They follow the rules that I want them to."
The flames entered the dream. Their momentum slowed.
Then they began changing.
Some became falling stars. Others transformed into burning birds that flew harmlessly across the sky. A few simply vanished into the darkness.
But several continued forward. Aurora allowed them through.
They reached her. She raised her arm and blocked one with her palm.
The flame exploded against her hand. A small burn appeared across her skin.
She looked at it briefly before continuing.
"Don’t misunderstand. Authority does not make us invincible."
The wound immediately healed.
"It gives us a way to fight at a level where Laws alone are no longer sufficient."
Klaus appeared several meters away.
His expression remained calm.
"You’re teaching him while fighting me?"
Aurora smiled.
"You aren’t exactly giving me much else to do."
Klaus raised his hand again.
This time, a larger flame appeared. Aurora’s expression became slightly more serious.
"Now watch the difference."
The flame expanded.
It became a sphere of fire several meters across, and the moment Klaus released it, the surrounding Soul Sea began evaporating.
Aurora didn’t dodge.
She simply closed her eyes.
The world around us changed again.
Suddenly, we were standing in an endless forest beneath a crimson moon. The fireball entered the dream and began descending toward us.
Aurora raised one finger. The fireball stopped.
For a brief moment, I thought she had simply frozen it.
Then I realized that wasn’t what had happened.
The fireball was still moving.
The dream had simply changed the distance between it and us.
A thousand kilometers remained between the flame and Aurora, even though the attack had appeared directly in front of her a moment earlier.
Klaus narrowed his eyes.
The fireball continued burning through the dream, slowly closing the distance.
Aurora looked toward me.
"This is why Demigod battles cannot be judged the same way as Saint battles. We aren’t simply throwing more powerful attacks at each other. Our Authorities interfere with the very way those attacks reach their targets."
The fireball finally reached her. Aurora disappeared.
It passed through empty space. She reappeared behind Klaus and gently touched his shoulder.
For a moment, nothing happened.
Then Klaus’s body blurred.
A second Klaus appeared several meters away.
Then a third.
Then a fourth.
Aurora frowned.
Klaus calmly looked over his shoulder.
"Dreams can deceive."
He raised his palm.
"And fire can burn through them."
A thin line of flame appeared. It passed through the dream. The entire forest split apart. The illusion shattered, revealing the Soul Sea once again.
Aurora had already returned to my side. Neither of them was seriously injured.
Their exchange had lasted only moments, yet I had already understood more about the Demigod Realm than I had from everything I had experienced before.
Aurora glanced at me.
"The most important thing you need to understand is that Authorities aren’t simply stronger Laws."
She paused as Klaus’s flames slowly gathered around him again.
"They are the foundation upon which a Demigod continues to evolve."
