[Description]
"I want to see the outside, Mother. May I go?" Unknown asked.
"My dear, the outside world is too small for you and still too vast," his mother had said, her long silver hair falling past her large wings.
Why did his mother turn such a small wish of his into such a cryptic answer?
"I want to see what lies beyond the crystal palace. I wish to spread my wings. They have grown stiff staying here," he replied softly, for he did not wish to hurt his mother with his words.
"My dear Unknown, if it is your wish to spread your wings, then a new sky I shall create for you, and I will fill it with countless galaxies so you may spread your wings." Her smile was gentle and warm.
Unknown understood she was saying no once more.
"Why do all my siblings come and go as they please, and still I watch the outside world through a looking glass?"
He felt his wrath rise with his words.
He never forgot the silence.
She did not reply.
Only later did he understand.
"The outside world is too small for you and still too vast," she whispered, as if she had wronged him.
"Why is it so? Tell me."
"You are too big for the outside and still so frail that it can hurt you. It can taint your beauty. The resentment of many will break you. Stay here with your mother, for I am only capable of loving you."
"You can't keep me here forever. I will not be here forever."
I never forgot how she looked away.
I just did not understand.
"This place is a prison."
My words broke her heart.
I did not understand.
I am free, and I walk where I please. Still, my heart longs for the confines of home and the warmth I once called my prison.
[Effect]
This grants you the ability to imprison the shadow and body of your target, corroding their will until they desire no more to leave.

Damon was well aware that his Domain would not be able to stop someone like Morticai.
So the shadows would have to form a prison around the phoenix.
Damon completed the activation of the skill, and Morticai was immediately swallowed by the shadows. From the outside, it looked as though a ball of darkness as large as a house had suddenly appeared in the sky.
With Xander, Damon, and Morticai trapped inside, however, the interior was an entirely different world. It was a vast expanse of shadows where his Domain and skill had merged together, creating a prison that existed within his own darkness.
Damon's Shadow Clone, Amon, was still outside, caught in a battle between Zhang Dafei and Aetherus, along with his uncle and Evangeline. The rest were fighting Ittorath and Ythar, both of whom were like calamities given inhuman forms.
The Outsiders were of two types.
There were those who possessed human or other humanoid forms, and then there were those that were simply monsters and unknowable entities like Ittorath and Ythar.
Damon already knew where Ittorath came from.
His origin was a single nightmare of the Unknown God.
Just a nightmare.
He was unsure what type of nightmare the Unknown God had dreamed up for something like Ittorath to be born within the Metaverse, but it was evident that the Metaverse was the worst place in existence, a place where countless thoughts, wishes, and dreams interacted, were born, changed, and eventually died.
Even a single imagination could become real in that place.
To think that things from there could enter the physical world was terrifying.
As for Ythar, Damon did not really know.
Ythar did not speak, so Damon did not even know if he possessed a personality. He did remember Valerie telling him years ago that Vathren, the previous City Lord, had fought and killed Ythar, which had caused the Whispering Forest to come into being.
So what was Ythar?
To begin with, was he even a tree?
Damon looked at him for a moment before taking a deep breath. He ignored the battle raging around him and decided to take a big risk.
He decided to appraise Ythar.
It was worth noting that Damon knew how foolish and risky this was. He might not even glean anything from the appraisal. After all, the Outsiders were many ranks above him, but he wanted a clue about how to kill Ythar for good.
So he activated Appraise.
Then he turned it off.
That brief moment, which lasted for no more than a fraction of a second, showed him so much.
He saw too much.
The feedback came instantly.
Both of his eyes exploded from their sockets, blood spraying in all directions as he fell toward the ground. Blood poured from his empty eye sockets while a sharp pain rang through his head, his entire body convulsing so violently that he nearly deactivated the Faceless skill that concealed his true identity.
Damon reached into his shadow and pulled out a strange potion before quickly drinking it, allowing the effects to calm his body as he struggled to process the information he had received.
The potion was called Terror Nectar.
It was one of the many miscellaneous potions he kept in his storage.
He had never thought he would actually use it.
Ideally, he hoped he never would, but it couldn't be helped. Stuff like this happened.
Rather, it shouldn't be happening.
But when you brush against horror, you expect to use an anti-horror potion.
Though he could hardly call it that.
"What did you see?" Ashcroft asked.
"I have no idea," Damon whispered, still struggling to deal with the information he had received.
Before he could say anything else, a sharp kick from a flaming foot sent him flying.
Damon immediately turned into a shadow before smashing into the bark of one of the enormous trees that made up Ythar's body.
He slid down the bark, feeling injuries accumulate throughout his body.
The possibility that he would die on this battlefield was high.
Very high.
Damon was surrounded by things that could kill him, and the fact that he was only realizing that now was a testament to his arrogance.
How dare he worry about others when his own death was standing right here?
