Ranar and Ric fled from monstrous Horrors, seeking shelter beneath a boulder. Ric explained that Horrors are intelligent and follow their own rules, unlike normal monsters. They realized they were lost in a dangerous, uncharted region with no clear safe direction. A small imp-like creature was spotted, followed by an impossibly tall, silent entity that watched them for hours. Exhausted and hungry, they remembered they had no food, a critical problem for Ric and Ranar.
