The Witch Hunter System Chapter 1237: Divine Seats
Previously on The Witch Hunter System...
Despite the process of absorbing soul essence and replenishing Soul Power repeatedly being quite monotonous, Vaan’s motivation and excitement didn’t diminish over time.
How could he even complain?
Compared to the system’s heavy-duty task, his job as a battery recharger was considered light work.
Ding!
<You have transferred 100 units of Soul Power>
<You have transferred 100 units of Soul Power>
<You have transferred...>
...
The series of system prompts kept sounding continuously as Vaan fed the system his "hard-earned" Soul Power, with the same initial enthusiasm.
Ding!
<The Divine Soul Kingdom’s construction progress has reached 80%>
<The Divine Soul Kingdom’s construction progress has reached 90%>
<The Divine Soul Kingdom’s construction progress has reached 100%>
Rumble...!
The moment the last stroke of the final Soul Rune was drawn, it was as if a missing piece of the puzzle fell into place, completing the picture.
The entire Divine Soul Kingdom seemed to come to life as its internal space shifted.
The Divine Soul Kingdom’s spherical form and size remained unchanged, but an illusory, transparent humanoid frame had appeared at its center, occupying much of the space.
Upon careful observation, this illusory, transparent humanoid frame perfectly reflected Vaan’s figure. It was somewhat like a hologram created from a bunch of data.
However, it lacked many discerning details, as if it were just a very basic model of his appearance.
Furthermore, there were numerous round nodes on its body, most of which were empty; only a few were filled with some surprising details.
For example, the third eye node had the revolving cosmos of mana, reflecting his mana cultivation.
When Vaan focused on it, some information was transmitted directly to him.
<Mana Cultivation Method: Heaven-rank Everlasting Cosmos Revolving Sutra>
<Mana Cultivation Level: Early-stage Divine Emperor>
<Status: Unsynchronized>
<Note: Synchronizing will create a copy of the reality’s mana cultivation in the Divine Soul Kingdom. In the event that the reality’s mana cultivation suffers crippling damage or destruction, the Divine Soul Kingdom can restore its status by consuming Soul Power>
Indeed, just by reading this bit of information, one could clearly see one of the Divine Soul Kingdom’s advantages.
Vaan shifted his focus to the other filled nodes, such as his heart node, which contained information about his Astral God Divine Body.
Looking at the "unsynchronized" detail showed that even his Astral God Divine Body could be synchronized.
Sure enough, once he established the Divine Soul Kingdom, he could begin synchronizing all of his real-world data, basically creating a backup copy in the Astral Soul Realm. With enough Soul Power, he could potentially restore any losses at any time.
As such, once he fully synchronized his cultivation and abilities, even if his entire body was destroyed, he would not need to re-cultivate from scratch.
This would save him a lot of time.
Besides the nodes on Vaan’s character model, there were also empty nodes in the starry space above it. Evidently, this section belonged to the laws. In other words, even his comprehension of the laws could be synchronized.
If Varuna had established this in the past, he could have inherited Varuna’s terrifying comprehension of the laws, allowing him to become invincible from the start.
Unfortunately, that was just his wishful thinking.
Even if he could wield the Water Law and Wind Law at the Beyond True Divinity Realm from the start, his soul would likely disintegrate instantly if he tried to use their full power.
Vaan wore a thoughtful look as he focused on the starry sky nodes.
These nodes didn’t just represent potential law synchronizations but also governing laws for his Divine Soul Kingdom.
If he could place his main contracted spirits into these synchronized nodes, it would be equivalent to granting them divine seats, allowing them to wield unparalleled authority over their designated elemental laws in his Divine Soul Kingdom.
Evidently, as Vaan pursued the Spirits Path, his body would accommodate countless more powerful spirits. If his contracted spirits couldn’t keep up with his growth in the Spirits Path, they would become quite ordinary among the many spirits who would occupy his spirit world.
This was something Vaan didn’t wish to see.
His early contracted spirits held special places in his heart, having accompanied him during his early growth and struggles. Moreover, they like his children; his darlings. Thus, he believed they should be given some preferential treatment.
Granting them divine seats in his Divine Soul Kingdom would be just perfect.
Not only would these divine seats give them special statuses, but they would also immortalize them, preserving their existences from following his true body in death in the event of its destruction.
Also, by occupying these divine seats, his contracted spirits would be showered in the endless elements of their designated governing law. This would undoubtedly benefit their growth.
No matter how Vaan looked at it, this seemed to be the best way to protect his contracted spirits from his fated death.
Topaz would occupy the Earth Law Node, Ruby would occupy the Fire Law Node, Ruby would occupy the Wood Law Node, Sapphire would occupy the Water Law Node, and Celestite would naturally occupy the Wind Law Node.
Unknowingly, he had already gathered the spirits of these five primary elements. Once they occupied their divine seats, he could utilize their help to create a special habitable world in his Divine Soul Kingdom.
Unfortunately, without the addition of a Spatial Spirit to govern space, the world would be unstable.
Nevertheless, this was not something he needed to worry about.
After all, this special world within his Divine Soul Kingdom wasn’t meant for living beings. It was intended to become a sanctuary to accommodate the fallen souls of his worshippers, those who believe in him.
Should they experience unjust deaths in the real world, they would enter his sanctuary, avoiding eternal sleep, and be permitted to enjoy a blessed afterlife, whilst continuing to provide him with faith energy.
Once he became more capable, he would also be able to revive them with less effort.
