Damon and Lilith meet with the Goddess of Doom, who reveals her past interactions with the Unknown God. She explains that her youthful hatred for him was misplaced, as he was not yet born. Upon meeting him later, he was surprisingly amicable, though Doom harbored resentment for his future actions. Despite their attempts to negotiate or seek aid against the Unknown God, Doom denies their requests, stating their world's destruction is inevitable and their only purpose is to deliver a message to their god: "I am a bride... just not his." Their world then collapses around them.
