Gu Weiwei awoke with a splitting headache in an altered bedroom, naked and covered in kiss marks from an intense night she couldn't recall. Fu Hanzheng emerged casually from the shower, addressing her familiarly by name and preparing for breakfast and a hospital visit. Mistaking him for a stranger from a party, she confronted Yuan Meng and offered him money to leave, leading Fu Hanzheng to realize she did not recognize him.

Fu Hanzheng’s face darkened as he shared a meaningful glance with Yuan Meng.

Was it due to the experiment? —Fu Hanzheng

Or perhaps because of how he stared at her in the bedroom? —Yuan Meng

Shocked, Yuan Meng turned to Gu Weiwei with trembling hands. “Look closer, do you really have zero recollection of him?”

They had shared such profound love once, yet after waking in the same bed, they were now total strangers?

“Kinda familiar.” Gu Weiwei glanced at Fu Hanzheng and told Yuan Meng, “I said no male models at my party, but you insisted. Now this guy’s killing me!”

“Male model party?” Fu Hanzheng cast a frosty gaze at Yuan Meng.

Throwing up her hands in surrender, Yuan Meng whispered, “I swear, even with the party, she didn’t drink or sleep with any of them. Nothing happened at all.”

Her thoughts had regressed to years earlier, back when they went to a Paris fashion show and partied the next day.

Plus, she mistook Fu Hanzheng, the man beside her in bed, for some drunken hookup.

Gu Weiwei narrowed her eyes. “No more whispering. You hired him, so you gonna kick him out?”

“Why me? This is his place.” Yuan Meng’s head pounded.

Oh lord, how to break it to her that they’d shared a bed for years and had two kids together?

“His place?” Gu Weiwei scanned around, realizing this wasn’t their villa.

Yuan Meng nodded solemnly. “Yes, his. And he’s no male model—he’s Fu Hanzheng.”

She remembered years ago, if she’d spilled this and Weiwei learned they’d slept together, she’d flip out completely.

True enough, the instant his name dropped, Gu Weiwei jumped up and scooted away from Fu Hanzheng.

“What’s going on between me and him…?”

Serious-faced, Fu Hanzheng backed off a few steps and said, “Yuan Meng, come here.”

Yuan Meng put out her cigarette and followed him obediently to the dining room. From there, they watched the woman in the living room clutching her hair and slapping her head.

“It appears… she’s forgotten everything from these years.”

She’d pretended memory loss to fool Gu Siting in A Land, but after finally returning to Hua Land, the real amnesia kicked in.

Fu Hanzheng’s expression turned grim. His deepest fear had become reality.

“She trusts only you now. Talk to her, and let’s get her to the hospital for a check-up.”

Yuan Shuo had his people send her experiment data to He Chi already, so they could examine her there and plan ahead.

She wouldn’t trust him regardless now.

“Okay… I’ll try.” Yuan Meng felt the weight of it.

She’d planned to pack and leave today, but this huge mess had arisen instead.

Fu Hanzheng faced even greater strain, no doubt.

Pursuing her had taken immense effort, yet now all those years’ memories were gone. She’d wiped out not just their romance, but their children too.

Back in the living room, she eyed the woman still crumbling over bedding Fu Hanzheng.

“Weiwei, you alright? Shall we head to the hospital?”

Gu Weiwei gaped at her, then whispered while glancing at Fu Hanzheng, “What’s wrong with him?”

Yuan Meng touched her forehead. “Not certain, but a hospital check-up is needed.”

To lure her to the hospital, badmouthing Fu Hanzheng was necessary.
