Previously on Marvel: The Villain...
Tony and Steve investigated an apartment, finding four agents frozen in place. The apartment exploded, killing the agents and destroying evidence. Tony and Steve deduced that the perpetrator, Stansfield, is a powerful metahuman mind controller, likely a high-ranking member of the Joker Organization and the mole within SHIELD. Meanwhile, Stansfield, now free from his suspension, took over a lavish villa and used his powers to incapacitate Secret Service agents before confronting the Vice President.
