The Corruption Dragon God: Lust System Chapter 850 - Complete lunatic

"Ah… that tiger is a complete lunatic! I hope I never have to see him again!" The fattie shuddered from head to toe just thinking about Bai Hu Lie swinging that poor disciple around like a club.
"Well… the sect is pretty big. I'll just avoid him, hahaha." Xiaohu let out an awkward chuckle, watching from afar as Bai Hu Lie left the arena, accompanied by a few elders.
"Afraid of some hick from the Northern Region?" Qingyi laughed.
"You're a hick from the Northern Region too, and look what you did to Zihao." The chubby young man shook his head as if pointing out the obvious.
He then puffed out his chest with all the pride in the world.
"I am Ling Xiaohu! Coward, liquor lover, and expert at staying alive!" He pounded his fist against his chest, announcing each word as if it were a glorious title.
"I may have been an orphan, but only because my father kicked me out of the family! He was a coward too, just like my father's father, my father's father's father, and my father's father's father's mother… who, actually, was a father."
Xiaohu raised his hand before Qingyi could even open his mouth.
"But well… the poor fellow was cursed after eating a strange herb and ended up turning into a woman. Thus was born the second matriarch of our family, who ruled for a glorious thirty minutes before suffering a heart attack."
The corner of Qingyi's mouth twitched. Xiaohu, however, remained as serious as a monk reciting scriptures.
"It doesn't seem like much, I know, but that was twenty-five minutes longer than the first matriarch to rule our family. She died five minutes after taking office… right after showing courage in the face of a demonic cultivator."
"The women of our family have never had much luck, and, well…" Xiaohu shook his head, brushing away the memories. "It was a strange time, but that doesn't matter!"
"What matters is that, after her, we embraced a vow of cowardice! And in the last twenty generations of my family, every single one of our leaders has died of old age!" He jabbed a finger at the sky, reciting it as if it were the clan's sacred motto.
"Cowardice can't move mountains, but it ensures the mountain stays in place!"
A few passing disciples turned to stare. Xiaohu's chin only rose higher.
"Caution ensures the mountain stays in place. Cowardice ensures you'll never be able to protect it," Qingyi replied calmly, then let out a chuckle. "But it's truly impressive. Your family must be incredible."
He wasn't joking.
The Celestial Realm was a violent place.
In a world where cultivators died every day over treasures, territories, and wounded pride, twenty consecutive generations dying of old age—even without high cultivation and engaging only in minor disputes—was still a great achievement.
"Anyway, his name is Bai Hu Lie." Qingyi steered the conversation back to the original topic.
"Let's go to the Competitors' Hall. He should be there." He pointed toward an entrance leading to the back of the arena, a subtle smile appearing on his face. "Don't worry, he won't be interested in a weakling like you."
"Uh? Bai Hu Lie? Weakling? Oh… hahaha! Sure, you're just trying to scare me, aren't you?" Xiaohu waved his hand, laughing half-heartedly.
"All right, he's a lunatic—probably famous in the Northern Region—but you're a refined man. How could you possibly be friends with him?"
His voice was brimming with disbelief.
"So, who are we really going to meet? A girlfriend of yours who couldn't come along? You're the heir to the Dragon God of Corruption, and with your good looks, you must have hundreds throwing themselves into your arms!"
Qingyi just shook his head and kept walking.
The Competitors' Hall greeted them with a buzz of voices, the clinking of glasses, and warm air heavy with the smell of liquor and the bitter scent of medicinal herbs.
The chubby young man scanned the room.
Refined young men lounged everywhere, some wrapped in bandages and still bearing the marks Bai Hu Lie had left on them, others completely unscathed.
Stunning beauties stared at the two of them with interest, whispering to one another behind their sleeves. Or, to be more specific, they were staring at Qingyi.
And, of course, there he was.
That enormous tiger, nearly three meters tall and weighing over six hundred kilograms of pure muscle, chugging from a twenty-liter barrel of liquor as if it were an ordinary glass.
Xiaohu realized they were heading straight toward the tiger, and for a moment, his heart sank.
No…
He didn't want to get anywhere near that tiger!
Xiaohu was just one step away from the Stellar Sovereign Realm. His cultivation far surpassed Bai Hu Lie's and was the highest in his family's history, despite his young age.
Still, he was no warrior.
He was a poet, a refined dancer, a connoisseur of liquor, wine, and beauty!
"Oh…" Bai Hu Lie's eyes suddenly locked onto Qingyi. His lips peeled back into a savage, fanged grin before he let out a roar of laughter.
"Long Qingyi, brother-in-law!" Bai Hu Lie closed the distance between them in the blink of an eye, the floor quaking beneath his weight.
Qingyi was a tall man, standing at two meters now. Still, it was hard not to look like a child next to Bai Hu Lie, who towered a full meter above him.
The tiger yanked Qingyi into a tight bear hug, all but swallowing him up in those thick, furry arms.
Then he shoved Qingyi aside and snatched Xiaohu up in the same crushing embrace.
The air burst from the chubby man's lungs in a wheeze, and he felt his soul nearly leave his body.
"Uh… this one smells like fear. He's not your friend, is he?" the tiger asked, turning the chubby man's head from side to side. "He's got a lot of fat. I prefer meat with more muscle, but I think he'd still make for a good barbecue."
Xiaohu let out a strangled sound, something between a nervous laugh and a cry.
