Cassandra reveals her past mission to destroy Pieces of Eden and offers Henry access to hidden Isu technology. She proposes they retrieve an underwater cache of this equipment from the Aegean Sea. Henry agrees and, upon returning home, impulsively invites Katherine Hepburn on a vacation to the Aegean Sea, much to the dismay of Sky and Gwen.

Before anyone else could speak up on Gwen's behalf, Henry hurriedly said, "Gwen, you're at the most important stage of applying to college. And if I tell George that you're coming with us to the Aegean Sea, won't he have a heart attack?"

Americans' general distinction between adults and minors, separate from the legal definitions, was still largely based on whether someone was a middle-school or college student.

If Gwen were already in college, and she wanted to travel abroad with friends, as long as those friends were reliable, George probably wouldn't object too much. He might even cover part of the travel expenses. If she wanted more spending money, she'd have to earn it herself through a part-time job or use her allowance.

But middle-school and high-school students were still at the age when they had to observe curfews and come home on time.

As for taking a vacation abroad, unless a family member accompanied them or they were participating in a holiday camp, Gwen would have to obediently stay home for a trip like this with friends, regardless of how reliable those friends were.

Hoping that her father, who practically lived at the police station, would take her on vacation was obviously hopeless. So she could only complain resentfully, "Must be nice~."

Her head slowly withdrew into the room, creating a rather eerie sight.

One problem had been settled, but there were still others waiting to be dealt with.

The downside of having Kitty around was that whether they took the tabby cat with them or left her home to guard the place, there were all sorts of inconveniences. Fortunately, America was an extremely capitalist and commercialized society. As long as you had enough money, most problems in ordinary people's eyes could be solved.

And the only troublesome passenger wasn't the tabby cat. There was also the ninety-five-year-old Katherine Hepburn. Even traveling first class was a modest burden for someone her age.

So Henry's idea was to travel by private jet.

There was no need to look for someone, either. Bollywood mogul Kingo had already volunteered himself.

Although they called it a vacation, the actual purpose was to retrieve the Isu equipment Cassandra had sunk into the sea. Naturally, the Spartan warrior would have to go.

Since Cassandra was going, the two Eternal big shots, Tina and Gilgamesh, naturally wanted to revisit the old place with their old friend. Neither had any intention of remaining in New York.

Once those two big shots decided to go, they approached Kingo themselves.

And just like that, they had a plane. Henry didn't even have to rack his brains over it.

Although the real purpose was to salvage something from the seabed, they couldn't make a big show of it. The operation had to be conducted in secret.

Countries around the world had strict regulations concerning the salvage of sunken treasure. Salvaging within territorial waters required permits, and doing so without authorization was considered illegal. Not only could your equipment be confiscated and heavy fines imposed, you might even end up in prison.

And if they actually recovered the equipment, ownership would become another major problem. Any country with even the slightest claim to it wouldn't casually give up treasure that had effectively fallen into its lap. Even if they didn't sell it, putting it on display in a museum would still be preferable to letting someone else profit from it.

To conceal their true purpose, their vacation destination naturally had to be somewhat isolated from the crowds rather than somewhere they could openly carry out suspicious activities.

It would also be more convenient if the destination wasn't too far away.

So the first thing they needed to determine was the location where Cassandra had once sunk and sealed away the Isu equipment. Only then could they formulate the rest of their plan.

The Aegean Sea might not rank among the world's top ten largest seas, but compared with individual countries, it was still enormous—roughly the size of Belarus.

The Aegean Sea covered 214,000 square kilometers, while Belarus had an area of 207,000 square kilometers.

Without narrowing down the search area, conducting a carpet search would take until the Year of the Monkey.

When Cassandra had sealed away the equipment in the past, there had been no GPS positioning system. She had relied entirely on memory, directing the Adrestia where to depart from, how long to sail, when to change course, and how long to continue sailing before finally sinking the treasure in the middle of the sea.

After calculating the location, they determined that it was approximately in the waters east of modern-day Crete.

That area was also the deepest part of the Aegean Sea, reaching a maximum depth of 3,544 meters.

That depth immediately killed the idea of using armor to retrieve the equipment from the deep sea.

A few figures made the armor's diving capabilities easier to understand.

According to publicly available data on modern military submarines around the world, their maximum operating depths were generally between 300 and 600 meters. Submarines built during the era of the Red Empire had experimental records reaching depths of 1,250 meters.

Ordinary recreational scuba divers, meanwhile, generally reached depths of around twelve to forty meters, depending on their experience and certification. Below forty meters was already considered technical diving.

Reaching a depth of 3,500 meters was firmly within the realm of deep-sea submersibles.

Henry had tested his armor in space and confirmed that its airtightness was reliable, but he had never tested it at such depths or attempted to have his homemade armor withstand deep-sea pressure.

Taking responsibility for the lives of anyone wearing the armor, Henry refused to let anyone test its maximum diving depth.

Besides, that wasn't the purpose of this trip in the first place.

So they simply abandoned the idea of using the armor.

Without the armor—the limiter that restricted his abilities—the Kryptonian, determined to operate using his true body, could ignore both the depth and the working environment.

The Eternals could theoretically cross outer space in their physical bodies, so entering the deep sea shouldn't have been a major problem either.

However, whether it was frontline warriors such as Tina and Gilgamesh or long-range support types like Kingo, they didn't have particularly impressive movement speeds.

In other words, their swimming speed was still within the range of ordinary humans. At most, they were better than professional athletes and could maintain that speed for a very long time.

At that speed, diving to a depth of 3,500 meters would take hours just for a round trip.

It was nowhere near as efficient as a Kryptonian with innate flight capabilities.

Thus, the only person who could truly conduct the deep-sea operation was Henry.

And to avoid crowds, they directly rented out an entire island resort for this "vacation."

They had quite a large group anyway, nearly enough people to fill the small island resort to capacity, so Henry simply booked the whole place.

They also rented a yacht locally for transportation and exploration.

And so, a group of eight people and one tiger traveled by private jet, transferred to a yacht, and finally arrived on the Aegean Sea in spring.

Cassandra was at the helm.

Wearing a red bikini, a sheer scarf tied around her waist, and a large straw hat on her head, she was the only person present with a modern boating license.

So naturally, she took command of the yacht.

Tina's outfit was no less eye-catching than Cassandra's.

Both women had athletic, muscular physiques, with clearly defined muscle lines.

Sky, still a girl who hadn't reached puberty, could only stare at them with drool practically running down her chin. She had no attention left to appreciate the beautiful scenery of the Aegean Sea.

The old lady's clothing wasn't nearly as wild as that of the women many times younger than her, but she was dressed in comfortable, casual white trousers with a silk scarf around her neck and a vintage Givenchy sun hat on her head.

The hat was a gift from the other Miss Hepburn and one of the old lady's favorite pieces in her hat collection.
