Drunk and vulnerable, Shi Keke confesses her long-held, unrequited love for Shi Mei. Despite her awareness of the taboo nature of her feelings and the potential damage to her reputation, she admits her addiction to him and her deep longing to be with him openly. Shi Mei confronts her as she expresses her love and despair, torn between her desires and the societal implications.

In this moment, she was as defenseless as a newborn infant, swaddled tightly and yearning for a comforting embrace, a safe haven, yet she found herself utterly alone in the end.

Shi Mei stood directly before her, his head slightly lowered, his gaze fixed upon her face. His eyes held a profound depth, a complex mixture that made them impossible to fully comprehend.

It was unclear how much time had elapsed before he slowly lifted a hand to cup her face, gently wiping away her tears.

The palm of his hand radiated a scalding heat, as if it possessed the power to melt anyone it touched.

"Shi Keke." He softly uttered her name.

Shi Keke responded with a slight nod, her eyes remaining closed, refusing to open.

"Can you promise that you will recall what you just said once you've sobered up?" His rough fingertips moved with an unprecedented tenderness, stroking her brow.

Shi Keke wasn't certain if she would remember her words upon sobering; all she knew was that her mind was crystal clear at this instant, and her declarations were utterly sincere.

"I believe it would be better to forget," she replied. Opening her eyes to meet the gaze of the man in front of her, she composed herself, brushed away the lingering tears with her hand, and said with a smile, "After all, I am a proud Queen, always holding myself in high regard; a scenario where the girl pursues the boy simply isn't suited for me."

"Oh, is that so?"

Shi Mei's gaze deepened, his eyes as inscrutable as the vast ocean, skillfully concealing his emotions. Even while looking at her in this manner, it was difficult to discern any shift in his feelings.

"Yes, don't you know who I am?"

Shi Keke attempted to sit up, placing her hands on the table for support, but Shi Mei offered no such opportunity. He pressed her shoulder, guiding her back down onto the table as he leaned closer.

"Brother, are you intending to kiss me?"

Shi Keke displayed a surprising calmness, speaking just as Shi Mei's face was ten centimeters from hers, yet her tone carried an undeniable hint of playful teasing.

Among the things most alluring to men are fine wine and beautiful women.

Shi Keke, having indulged in too much drink, exuded a faint aroma of alcohol as she spoke, which drifted into Shi Mei's senses, instantly igniting a surge of warmth within him. The usually icy depths of his eyes were now veiled by a layer of warmth.

"Do you wish for a kiss? If you do, I shall oblige, but we'll keep it a simple peck, no tongue," Shi Keke's lips curved into a mischievous smile. The lingering flush on her cheeks, a result of the alcohol, lent her an indescribable allure.

Shi Mei's eyes narrowed slightly, and he inquired in a low voice, "Have you witnessed siblings kissing?"

"I have seen it many times," Shi Keke stated. "In Country S, greetings often involve a kiss, and it's customary for it to be on the mouth."

"Hmm?" His thin lips curved subtly, forming what appeared to be a smiling arc. "So, you imply that in Country S, you engage in kissing frequently."

"Indeed, Brother. You should be aware, I am quite sought-after, and many males are eager to greet me. If I refuse, they perceive it as rudeness. If I accept, however, they can be quite lecherous, going beyond a simple kiss and involving their tongues."

"Are you certain?" Shi Mei leaned in a fraction closer, his lips nearing her ear as he let out a low chuckle. "Shi Keke, it would be wise for you to answer this question carefully."
