Shadowy figures infiltrated the royal palace and stormed the throne room. Prince Sorren revealed a dagger given to him by Riezel, which possessed a sinister aura. When the guard Rohm touched it, he was overcome by its dark energy. Sorren then declared his intent to overthrow his father, King Hendrick, proclaiming himself the new ruler and vowing conquest.
