After twenty years sealed in Great Cold Ice, Bai Shu and Empress Lin Lei are finally awakened. Their sacrifice had stalled the enemy long enough for Gu Shen to prepare. Bai Shu finds himself in a spiritual train carriage, a divine domain created by Gu Shen, where he can catch up on the years he missed. Gu Shen reveals that the war is over, and Qinglong has been defeated.

Bai Shu’s tone was somewhat uncertain.

He could be sure.

The present Gu Shen had already attained Divine Throne-level spiritual power.

To create such a stable and private “Spiritual Divine Domain” like 001… such a feat is beyond ordinary capabilities.

Only a Divine Throne can perform a Divine Miracle!

Yet, under spiritual detection, Bai Shu did not sense the aura of the Netherworld Fire.

“I once was.”

Gu Shen’s answer puzzled Bai Shu, leaving him perplexed.

Once was… what does that mean?

“The current ‘Netherworld King’ is Mu Wanqiu of the North Continent.”

Gu Shen sat back opposite Bai Shu in the carriage, gently explaining, “I gave the Netherworld Fire to her.”

“You gave the Netherworld Fire… to someone??”

Bai Shu truly hadn’t expected anyone in the world to willingly hand over the “flame seed.”

“She is more suited to the ‘Netherworld Fire’ than I am.”

Gu Shen smiled slightly and said, “The act of gifting the fire is quite complex, not something easily explained… You should know, the revival of consciousness and our meeting means that the previously sealed ‘Great Cold Ice’ has reached its day of melting. You and Her Majesty the Empress can return to the world.”

Bai Shu silently clenched his fingers, taking a gentle breath.

“But I have more good news today.”

Gu Shen extended a hand, his fingertips gently slicing through space.

“I promised you ‘that matter’… can be completed today.”

Bai Shu’s pupils contracted as he lifted his head.

Countless streams of light escaped from the slit created by Gu Shen’s fingertips, his Divine Thought was drawn in upon nearing the slit, and amidst the blur, Bai Shu saw an immensely vast and towering sacred world.

“Is this… Pure Land?”

“It’s the more perfect ‘Creator’s’ Divine Domain than [Pure Land].”

Gu Shen stood up, his Divine Domain spreading out, covering 001, the scene beneath them instantly changed, grass leaves fluttered in the air, Bai Shu didn’t even realize how seamlessly the two Divine Domains were exchanged.

He looked down, finding himself in a field.

This field was pale white, with endless snowflakes covering the grass.

The season was indeed Great Cold, the frost grass dense, the chill formidable.

Bai Shu stared blankly at the long coffin sealed before him, withered vines entangled around it, seemingly freezing and solidifying time itself…

This coffin still emitted the same dead air as years ago!

Yet he vaguely felt like something was different from back then.

Gu Shen stood beside Bai Shu, earnestly saying, “The ‘Four Seasons Wilderness’ of Qingzhong is now part of my Divine Domain too, Li Rou’s body is protected by Divine Power, ‘hibernating’ with the lowest time flow, for years I’ve been searching for a way to save the ‘out-of-control’.”

Even after becoming a Divine Throne, there are still unbreakable iron laws.

Birth, aging, illness, and death, people cannot live forever, leaves cannot stay green, this is the ultimate truth of the natural order.

The characteristic of the “out-of-control” individuals is the collapse of the Spirit Sea… the fragmentation of complete spiritual consciousness.

A mirror shattered into countless pieces, the Divine Throne can piece it back together.

But the collapse of the Spirit Sea isn’t at the “countless” level.

To awaken the “out-of-control,” the corresponding spiritual fragments must be gathered… back then, Li Rou overdrawn her spiritual power to drive the [Truth Ruler] in Xinyang Fortress, her Spirit Sea’s collapse happened over twenty years ago, most fractured fragments have dissipated.

Even if everything remains, their whereabouts are unknown; gathering them is utterly impossible.

“Perhaps it’s ‘destiny’s’ mercy, or perhaps ’cause and effect’ are predetermined.”

Gu Shen stood before the coffin, speaking softly, “Back then, I took over [Truth] from her hand, turning impossibilities into possibilities.”

Over the years, Gu Shen traveled the Five Continents, using the [Creator] domain to measure and cover the world within the giant wall.

He first went to Xinyang Fortress, pulling every “Spiritual Consciousness” he could collect into the domain… for the remaining missing ones, he tried to use Divine Domain power to drive [Truth].

Li Rou was once the ruler of the ruler.

As long as Gu Shen can pay the sufficient price… [Truth] can replicate the portion of spiritual power Li Rou once infused.

Thus, the seemingly unreachable “missing” part was created.

“Finding brightness amid chaos.”

“Creating order amid disorder.”

Gu Shen gently extended a hand, pressing it against the coffin: “This is a ‘Divine Miracle’ even the Netherworld King couldn’t achieve… but I have achieved it.”

“Whoosh!”

The withered vines were ignited by Chi Huo at that moment, transforming into dazzling light and fire, death air was instantly expelled, flames and mist rose from the surface of the coffin.

Bai Shu felt as if all this was dreamlike, the entire world became incredibly silent.

Thud.

He clearly heard a distinct heartbeat sound from within the coffin.

Gu Shen released his hand, chuckling softly: “I promised you to revive ‘A-009’… is completed.”

After saying this, he silently backed away.

The wilderness of the Divine Domain surged with great winds, countless frost-white grass leaves surrounded the coffin along with the icy leaves of golden spike flowers.

Gu Shen left this for Bai Shu and Li Rou.

People who have waited for decades.

Deserve a good ending.

…

…

“Finding brightness amid chaos…”

“Creating order amid disorder…”

Bai Shu stood before the coffin, muttering to himself.

After becoming a Divine Throne, he thought he’d no longer be amazed by any divine miracles.

But at this moment, he felt the shock brought by Gu Shen.

This young man had transcended his “cognition,” reaching a whole new supreme realm.

Looking back.

Only the leaves fluttered across the sky.

Gu Shen had vanished to an unknown destination.

The Divine Domain was quiet, the world beautiful, Great Cold was harsh, but there would eventually be a time of melting.

Bai Shu did not let down Gu Shen’s goodwill, he reached out and lifted the cover of the coffin, that coffin of Silent Annihilation at this moment blossomed with flowers… the woman who was supposed to rest within forever had ushered in the revival of a divine miracle.

Li Rou slowly opened her eyes.

Her memory was still stuck at the moment of explosion in Xinyang Fortress… as if she had been dreaming for a long time.

It really seemed like a dream.

Including now.

Because she saw the person she most wanted to see.

“Bai… Shu?”

Li Rou murmured, feeling a sudden pain at the tip of her heart.

She didn’t understand what happened during “this dream,” but she saw clearly the man standing before her now had streaks of white in his hair.

“It’s me.”

The man before the coffin extended a hand to wipe away the tears at the corner of the woman’s eyes.

His greatest regret in life was not being able to reach Xinyang Fortress when Li Rou most needed him.

The greatest luck in the world is “lost and found.”

As long as regrets can be remedied, no matter how late, it’s not too late.

…

…

Gu Shen leaned under the swaying tree, quietly watching the distant scene, a smile playing at his lips.

Not far away, Tie Wu, sitting on the tree with swinging legs and resting, suddenly hung upside down, head down, curiously asked: “Lord Divine is smiling so happily, what day is today?”

Li Qingci, sitting under the tree drinking tea in the shade, didn’t look up, leisurely saying: “The end of Great Cold, the arrival of Awakening of Insects. Today is a good day for ice and snow to melt.”

Tie Wu scratched his head, somewhat puzzled.

“Clatter—”

Just then, a sudden strong wind rose, countless golden spike flowers soared, popping and crackling sounds filled the entire Divine Domain.

Ice shattering.

Snow melting.

Another year of spring is approaching.

All things revive, death air dispelled.

Solid ice melts, grass grows and warblers fly.

This is indeed a good day, a day everyone can’t help but smile upon seeing.

(PS: Everyone, the promised extra content was delayed for a while, bear with me. With this extra update, let me report the status of the new fairy-tale book: The new book preparation actually started early, the worldview and structure have been finalized, but the opening is never quite satisfactory, so it’s still being revised. Then in January, I unfortunately fell ill twice, causing delays in progress, TAT, I don’t dare to commit when the book will start, I can only say soon, very soon.)
