Chapter 2

---

"Class, we have a new student joining us from overseas today."

"The teacher requests your full attention as this newcomer will be introducing himself."

"Seiya-kun, please enter."

A wave of curiosity swept through class 2A, with the exception of Yui and Rito, who, naturally, were already aware of the new student's identity.

After all, they had encountered him just moments before on the school stairs.

Yui observed the blonde boy as he entered the classroom, a smile gracing her lips. Having been assisted by him on the stairs, she held a decidedly favorable impression of this new student.

Numerous revelations had surprised her, including the inner voices of both the blonde boy and Rito, which she found herself able to perceive.

The inner voice of the blonde boy was, in itself, quite understandable.

However, after a recent eavesdropping on Rito's inner monologue...

Yui had to concede that she had been quite naive previously, utterly deceived by Rito's feigned innocence during his seemingly unintentional perverted actions.

In truth, after hearing his inner voice, she discovered that Rito's lewd conduct might not have been entirely accidental. It was likely deliberate, and hearing the boy's perverted desire to father numerous chubby babies with her, accompanied by a sinister chuckle, solidified this realization.

Regardless of whether the narrative about Yuki Rito, seated not far from her, being a time traveler from the future held any truth.

Even the blonde boy himself claimed to be a time traveler.

Yui's revulsion towards Rito intensified.

She resolved to maintain a heightened state of alert around him and consciously decided to always keep a significant distance.

Rito, positioned in the back row by the window, cast a vexed glance toward Yui in the front row.

He detected a hint of jealousy in her eyes as she smiled warmly at the blonde boy who had just entered the classroom.

{What is Yui's problem?}

{I apologized to her earlier, yet her attitude towards me has become remarkably cold.}

{Even before we returned to class, I noticed her looking at me with genuine disgust, which was unusual.}

{This is problematic; it must be that blonde boy's doing!}

{A transfer student? There were transfers in my previous life, but a blonde wasn't among them!}

{I have a feeling this second life deviates from my first. And it's unequivocally that blonde boy's fault.}

{Just you wait, I'll devise a plan to eliminate you, blonde boy. Do not mistake me for an ordinary youth; in my past existence, I was the King of the Galaxy, responsible for the demise of countless alien races.}

{Heh... Eliminating a fragile, handsome blond like you, even though I haven't fully regained my former strength. The current me is more than capable of crushing you with my bare hands!}

It wasn't only Yui; strangely, several other girls in the classroom also directed peculiar glances at Rito, who maintained an innocent and friendly facade.

Some of them, too, could apparently perceive Rito's inner thoughts.

Even Eiji's inner voice concerning the earlier stair incident was audible.

However, setting that aside, the attention of the transfer student and the majority of the class was now focused at the front of the room.

"Hello, everyone. I am Eiji Seiya, a transfer student from Denmark. For specific reasons, particularly my mother's Japanese heritage, I have decided to enroll in a Japanese school."

"I am looking forward to becoming friends with all of you."

Eiji, with a charming smile on his handsome face, delivered his introduction, eliciting screams of excitement from numerous female students.

Their joyous cries stemmed from the fact that the transfer student was, undeniably, an exceptionally attractive blonde boy.

Conversely, many of the male students could be seen clicking their tongues, their expressions betraying displeasure. An inherent sense of jealousy often arises when encountering someone whose appearance surpasses their own.

This sentiment was prevalent among nearly all the male students in class 2A, including Rito, who harbored not only jealousy but also a palpable murderous intent.

While the rest of the class remained oblivious, Eiji was fully aware.

He also realized, through the inner voice he could hear, that Rito intended to dispose of him through some means.

Although he wished to silence Rito's voice within his mind, Miss System informed him that she was powerless to do so, as this functionality, paradoxically, also served his benefit.

Indeed, the ability to perceive the protagonist's inner thoughts provided a distinct advantage, enabling him to disrupt established plot points and reap rewards.

Ultimately, Eiji resigned himself to enduring this situation.

Following a brief self-introduction and a Q&A session with curious girls—addressing inquiries such as his relationship status (to which he responded negatively) and other matters—

In reality, aside from his lack of a girlfriend and his name, all other information he provided was fabricated.

For your information, his origin was not Denmark. That was merely fabricated nonsense, concocted using his adept computer skills, a talent he possessed quite proficiently.

This was because, in his prior existence, the technological advancements had far surpassed what this current world offered. Having been a student in that advanced society, he had acquired a wealth of knowledge in preparation for his future.

However, this was not the world of his past life, despite being a Reincarnator.

His previous world was only a week prior to his accidental exploration of his shed, where he stumbled upon an old cupboard concealing a portal to another realm.

It bore a resemblance to the wardrobe in the Narnia tales, the key difference being the direction of travel; instead of entering a fantasy realm from the real world, Eiji recognized he was transitioning from a game world to an anime world, given his initial reincarnation *into* the game world.

The situation was admittedly complex and peculiar, yet it constituted his present reality. Truth be told, his arrival in this world was rather impulsive, and he still had pressing matters to resolve in his previous life.

It was just that he hadn't anticipated that, on his very first day attempting to pose as a transfer student this morning, he would encounter the heroine and protagonist of another infamous franchise, thereby triggering the golden finger ability he had long awaited.

After eighteen years since his reincarnation, he had genuinely begun to doubt the existence of a golden finger for himself, at least beyond the mysterious cupboard in his storeroom which served as his likely gateway to another dimension, discovered not too long ago.

But then again...

He was undeniably thrilled to finally possess an actual golden finger, granting him cheat-like powers akin to those of other isekai protagonists.

With this newfound power, the issues in his previous world—let's refer to it as Homeworld—might now be manageable through his own strength, allowing him to attend to the heroines there... ah, ahem.

As long as he could thwart more impending plot developments, a considerable amount of rewards would surely follow!

"..."

In the afternoon.

Once the school day had concluded.

Eiji came to the realization that the plot progression in To Love Ru didn't appear to have advanced significantly. To be more precise, it was still in its nascent stages!

His deduction stemmed from the absence of the pink-haired girl, the primary heroine of this particular franchise, in his classroom.

It was no surprise then that Rito Yuuki seemed more preoccupied with 'targeting' Yui and the purple-haired girl, Sairenji Haruna, who was also a significant heroine in the established narrative.

He must have been making acquaintances with other heroines besides Yui, with Haruna being one of them.

Their interactions were limited to brief, superficial encounters, with Yui being the closest acquaintance he had so far.

This was owing to the fact that he had rescued her from a potentially concussive or bone-breaking accident earlier that morning. In her gratitude, she had enthusiastically given him a tour of the school, pointing out its various facilities.

She even provided directions to the buildings housing the first and third-year students. The only downside was the palpable look of jealousy and outright hatred emanating from the protagonist, who was concealed a few meters away in the dense shrubbery.

Thanks to the Sharingan integrated into his body, activated in the restroom during the earlier break, his physical prowess and sensory perception had magnified exponentially beyond those of an ordinary individual. He could easily detect even the protagonist lurking in the bushes.

However, the more significant challenge lay in his current amplified power, which also rendered him exceedingly sensitive to the sensation of being observed by others.

Setting aside the protagonist Rito, whose gaze clearly seethed with murderous intent upon observing him walking alongside Yui at that moment.

From the third-year student building, precisely from a window adjacent to where he and Yui were strolling outside the structure.

Tilting his head slightly upwards, Eiji noticed a girl observing him from the window.

In stark contrast to the protagonist's homicidal glare, the girl's gaze conveyed mere curiosity, yet it felt peculiar as he perceived her scrutinizing his physical form solely through her stare.

The sensation was subtle yet undeniably present.

The girl's long crimson hair danced playfully in the breeze, her cerulean eyes, as deep as his own, met his gaze.

Her captivating features and voluptuous figure were mirrored in Eiji's vision.

For a fleeting moment, Eiji found himself entranced by her allure, but this enchantment was swiftly supplanted by a sense of astonishment, particularly when meeting her eyes and witnessing the faint smile she offered him.

He promptly shifted his gaze away from the enigmatic girl in the window, directing his attention forward once more.

"Eiji-kun, is something wrong?" Yui, standing beside him, seemed to have detected his momentary distraction.

As they continued walking, Eiji gave a slight shake of his head, offered a smile, and replied, "It's nothing, it's just... Kotegawa-san."

"Yui, just call me Yui."

Yui beamed, her smile radiating the innocent affection of a girl in love, though she herself remained oblivious to her burgeoning feelings.

Perhaps it was due to the acute hearing of Rito, still concealed within the bushes. He overheard Yui's endearing remark to Eiji and was instantly consumed by the inferno of jealousy!{Eiji Seiya! How dare you steal Yui away!}

{My Yui, why is she so cheerful with another guy? And she’s even letting him use her first name. Eiji, this is all your fault!}

{I must find a way to separate you from Yui! I’ll force you if I have to!}

Hearing Rito’s inner monologue, which sounded as if he was stalking her, made Yui’s smile falter. Her expression soured.

It only filled her with greater disgust!

{Who are you calling ‘your’ Yui? I don’t belong to you!}

Eiji, oblivious to Yui’s shift in demeanor, merely glanced towards a nearby cluster of bushes with a faint smirk.

He found himself wanting to gripe about the regressor protagonist’s sheer unreasonableness, especially now that things weren’t unfolding as he recalled.

However, a far more intriguing and beneficial idea had just struck him, and he was still acutely aware of the red-haired girl observing him from the window.

He recognized her as the main heroine from a different series.

While initially taken aback, he now saw this as a prime opportunity to secure another reward!

{The girl in the window… What’s she doing here? I’d assumed this was just the To Love Ru universe, but that doesn’t seem to be the case…}

{Because that red-haired girl is also present. If my memory serves me right, she’s a heroine from another franchise.}

{That anime series is Highschool DxD! It's another brainless harem anime, much like To Love Ru. Essentially, the heroines all fall for the perverted protagonist.}

{To Love Ru's protagonist might actually be the better of the two, as it’s shown that his lewd actions aren't entirely intentional. Of course, Rito in this world is different; he’s a Regressor, deviating from the original story.}

{Highschool DxD's protagonist is arguably worse than To Love Ru's original protagonist.}

{How so? It’s because this protagonist is a pervert who genuinely adores large breasts! He frequently groped the heroines’ chests in the original work, yet they showed no disgust towards his perverted advances.}

{They fell in love with him, not solely due to the author-granted protagonist halo, but also because the author incorporated something called a 'draconic aura,' which subtly entices the opposite sex.}

{In the original story, that red-haired girl, Rias Gremory, eventually realized this. But by then, it was too late; she had already fallen for the protagonist. She didn’t react strongly upon discovering this fact and was content to let the protagonist fondle her breasts. It even reached a point during battles where she didn't mind exposing herself to enemies if it meant the protagonist could pierce her nipples to boost his power.}

{That was a truly absurd method of power augmentation… Hahaha! I remember laughing heartily at that episode in my past life.}

{What a shame… a beautiful girl like Rias falling for a pervert like that protagonist.}

{It would be one thing if he were just a pervert, as harboring such desires is somewhat normal for a man. While the DxD protagonist’s perversion is excessive, the real issue is his utter lack of courage to take the final step in a man-woman relationship!}

{He constantly feigned ignorance and insensitivity towards girls like Rias, who had developed feelings for him, never truly reciprocating their affections while shamelessly enjoying fondling their breasts!}

{Utterly idiotic… I realized this after watching three seasons of the anime, which is quite a commitment. The protagonist is a pervert, yet he’s a ‘herbivore’ who enjoys making the girls who love him wait indefinitely.}

That was quite an extensive internal rant.

Eiji, engrossed in his train of thought, failed to notice Yui shutting her mouth, her expression a mask of surprise.

It was precisely because she recognized Rias Gremory that Eiji’s words resonated with her.

Rias Gremory was the most popular senior student in the third year.

So, it turned out that Senpai also had a story as distasteful as hers, or perhaps even more so, given her involvement with that protagonist?

Uwah… I wonder who the protagonist of Senpai Rias’s franchise is?

If I knew, I’d definitely steer clear, just as I am with Rito.

“Ugh…”

Yui felt a sense of dread creeping into her as the school environment grew increasingly unsettling.

Hearing Yui’s groan, Eiji turned his head. “What’s wrong, Yui? Does your stomach hurt?”

“Uh, no. Eiji-kun, I’m alright.”

Gazing into Eiji’s handsome face, his expression etched with concern for her, Yui offered a smile. Somehow, she felt a sense of reassurance.

If only all men were like Eiji…

Or at least possessed some of his commendable qualities.

Perhaps then, she wouldn’t harbor such a strong aversion towards men.

Of course, excluding the men in her own family, Eiji was an exception, a realization that dawned upon her only this very morning.

Eiji offered a nod, electing not to press the girl for more details. His gaze was instead captured by the more intriguing and aromatic display on the system's screen.

The reason for his fascination was the new reward the system had just presented him!

Ah! I've been crafty!

Rito, where have you gone? Is it time for you to teach me a lesson?

Come forth. I welcome it.

It would be convenient, really, to test out my brand-new toy.

On a separate note, if any criticism Eiji directs towards the protagonists Rito or Issei strikes you as amiss, please recognize that I am deliberately portraying them in a negative light.

I am aware that many readers may favor characters like Issei or Rito. Therefore, I advise you to consider these portrayals as alternate universe (AU) versions, just as the plot Eiji laments in this narrative is also an AU of the original work.
