Upon arriving at his new school, Eiji Seiya is immediately recognized by Yui and Rito, who can both hear inner voices. Yui's impression of Rito sours further as she hears his true thoughts, while Eiji is intrigued by Rito's past life as a "King of the Galaxy." Eiji also realizes this world is not just "To Love Ru," as a girl from "Highschool DxD" appears, sparking a new reward opportunity for him.
For a dense and slow protagonist like Rito in the original story, this situation offers comfort. He doesn't need to fret about other heroines he pays little mind to getting involved with other men, or in simpler terms, he avoids the risk of NTR (Netorare).

Similarly, this holds true for the heroines within the Highschool DxD franchise. Protagonists often keep the women who adore them waiting for extended periods. Surprisingly, these heroines exhibit remarkable loyalty, patiently waiting until the protagonist completes his character development or resolves his foolish mental issues.

"How cute."

"C-Cute!? Eiji-kun, w-who are you calling cute!?"

"Of course it's you, Yui. You're both beautiful and adorable. " Leaning in, Eiji whispered into Yui's ear, adding, "It would be wonderful if a girl like you could be my girlfriend."

"(*°?°*)"

Yui's mind went blank, unable to register the loud explosion nearby, or rather, choosing to ignore it.

Only Eiji understood the reason behind the explosion and who caused it, a fact that brought a smirk to his lips.

Meanwhile, on the other side.

Not far from the school gate, where the scene of a boy leaning towards a girl was clearly visible.

From his vantage point, the moment appeared to be a tender kissing scene.

However, to an orange-brown-haired boy concealed within the bushes, the sight was horrifying.

It was more terrifying than any horror film he had ever experienced.

His head spun with envy, his eyes wide with shock and jealousy, which were swiftly replaced by a surge of homicidal intent.

In this agitated state, he didn't even notice his own hand striking the adjacent tree, leaving it cracked and hollowed.

This boy was, naturally, Rito.

At this moment, his heart ached seeing the woman he cherished being kissed by another man right before his eyes.

If he hadn't been concerned about revealing his darker side to Yui, he would have leaped from the bushes immediately, charging towards the school gate to beat the blonde boy to death.

Ultimately, he could only wait, anticipating Yui's separation from the blonde-haired boy.

And after that?

Hehe...

Rito clenched his teeth, roaring inwardly.

{Initially, I only intended to break a few of your bones and suggest you transfer schools.}

{But look at what you've done? You dared to kiss my Yui, one of the women destined for my harem, right before my eyes?}

{Eiji Seiya! You insignificant worm, I will end you!}

{How dare you taint my woman with your vile mouth!}

{Ah! Ah!! And Yui, what were you doing? Why did you remain silent when that blonde bastard kissed you? Given your usual aversion to men other than me, you ought to have slapped him and rejected him vehemently!}

{Why, Yui? Why!}

{Oh, I see. That blonde brute must have blackmailed you with something, right? I knew it!}

{Don't worry, Yui! Eiji Seiya, that blonde boy, I swear I will kill him!}

Aside from his outbursts, the protagonist was remarkably unreasonable, fabricating his own narrative.

Who was being threatened?

Who was kissed?

Upon hearing this, Yui's mind slowly returned to normal, her face flushed crimson. Setting aside Rito's irrational accusations, she finally mustered the strength to push away his hand from her chin and stammered, "E-Eiji-kun, what are you saying!?"

"Be your girlfriend? That, that's... It's too soon! I... We only met this morning. You, well... You're rushing things!"

After speaking, she felt a pang of worry seeing Eiji's seemingly crestfallen expression. However, all she witnessed was his handsome face erupting into laughter.

"Pfft!"

"Eiji-kun, you..."

"Hahaha, my apologies, my apologies. I was merely joking." Wiping a tear from the corner of his eye, Eiji ceased his laughter and smiled.

"Uh, you were kidding? So... your earlier confession about wanting me as your girlfriend was a fabrication?" Yui's mouth gaped in surprise, a mixture of anger and disappointment bubbling within her. Her expression turned cold, and she was about to turn away in anger when Eiji spoke again.

"Not entirely, it wasn't a complete lie. While it may not be feasible right now, as we haven't known each other long."

"However, when it comes to the girl I might wish to be my girlfriend, Yui would undoubtedly rank highest in my heart."

Hearing this, Yui's cold demeanor softened, a faint smile gracing her lips.

"Really?"

Eiji nodded. "Yes... So, do you want to be my girlfriend?"

"Hmph! Who would want to be your girlfriend!"

Yui huffed, though a smile played on her lips, indicating her words lacked genuine conviction.

Could her true feelings be the opposite? Who could say?~

[I know that, Yui is simply too shy. In truth, she wouldn't mind being my girlfriend, would she?]

Yui: "Eiji-kun, you're far too narcissistic."

"Wait, Yui. I haven't responded to your statement yet, so why are you labeling me as narcissistic?"

"Because you are narcissistic."

"Hey, that makes no sense!"

...

Meanwhile.

Still within the confines of the school.

Precisely inside a room marked with a signboard that reads [Occult Research Club].

The interior of the club was surprisingly opulent, resembling more of an office space equipped with various items for entertainment and relaxation.

A 58-inch television dominated one area, complemented by a high-quality, plush sofa. A bookshelf overflowed with manga and novels. Fluffy carpets covered the floor, and various paranormal-themed trinkets, such as glowing magic bulbs, plastic skulls, and a poster depicting a summoning circle – which, despite its ominous appearance, was merely drawn with store-bought red paint – adorned the space.

The girl with crimson hair explained that despite its name, the Occult Research Club was far from serious. In reality, this club room served as the group's clandestine headquarters for their true mission: acting as guardians of the city.

As the heiress to the Gremory Clan – or, in the vernacular of the Underworld inhabited by devils and other supernatural beings, the Gremory Family.

She, Rias Gremory, was a devil from the Underworld, currently fulfilling her family's duty as Kuoh City's watchdog while simultaneously attending school in the human world.

Throughout her time in the human realm, she had, naturally, maintained a human facade. Only her close circle of friends and select supernatural individuals aware of her standing in the Underworld knew she was a devil amidst the student body.

Well... Presently.

The red-haired girl, Rias, reclined on the luxurious sofa, her gaze fixed on a monitoring screen connected to her demonic familiar.

Mere moments prior, she had dispatched her demon pet, a one-eyed demon bat, to trail the blonde-haired boy she had glimpsed from the window earlier.

From that fleeting eye contact with the blonde boy, whose handsomeness rivaled that of a blond member of her own peerage, she detected an unusual, potent energy.

Beyond his striking looks, which perfectly aligned with her aesthetic preference for a commanding Blonde CEO seen in a certain drama series.

Rias sensed a peculiar supernatural energy emanating from the blonde youth, sparking her curiosity and leading her to wonder if he harbored a Sacred Gear within him.

If such was the case, she harbored a strong desire to recruit this blonde boy into her faction!

For reasons she couldn't fully articulate, the current circumstances compelled her to seek out powerful individuals who could assist her in navigating her challenges.

Thus, she covertly observed the blonde boy via her demon pet, and the outcome was...

Rather than gleaning more information about the blonde boy himself, she was indeed privy to details, albeit of a different nature.

Specifically, she was subjected to 'dog food' – a term for witnessing romantic interactions – as she observed the blonde boy, identified as Eiji Seiya, openly flirting with the black-haired girl accompanying him.

Rias's expression soured, her usually beautiful features contorted with a tinge of envy as she watched the scene unfold.

"I feel a bit displeased..."

"Furthermore, what are these voices? Without any magical intervention, I can perceive the inner thoughts of both the blonde boy and the orange-brown-haired boy, who also appears to be tailing the blonde one."

"Setting aside the orange-brown-haired boy, whose inner monologue sounds utterly repulsive despite being labeled the protagonist."

"But this blonde boy, Eiji Seiya, claims to be a time traveler and asserts that I will inevitably fall for a perverted protagonist fixated on breasts?"

"Even suggesting I'll endure a prolonged wait for him to reciprocate my affections while allowing him to toy with my breasts? Ridiculous!"

"Never! Who is this foolish woman? Me, depicted in such an anime role? That is unequivocally not me!"

Rias found it inconceivable that she could ever act as foolishly as depicted in the anime.

Indeed, thus far, based solely on her observations through her demon pet and the overheard inner voices of Eiji and the protagonist of this fictional narrative, with whom she had no prior connection.

She had already developed an 80% conviction that Eiji Seiya was genuinely a time traveler and possessed extensive knowledge about her from an anime he had watched.

It was precisely this realization that amplified her curiosity and concurrently fueled her apprehension.

Her curiosity intensified her desire to enlist Eiji Seiya into her group.

As for apprehension? She feared that the events unfolding in the anime might tragically mirror her own reality in this world!

I certainly have no desire to fall for the protagonist, nor to become entangled with him to the point of developing feelings due to the influence of a draconic aura – which, at its core, I recognize as akin to the allure succubi employ to ensnare the opposite sex!

This particular effect, however, is far more insidious, and by the time I recognize its influence, it might be too late, precisely as Eiji Seiya intimated through his inner voice.

Yet, as a heroine destined for a harem anime, Rias inwardly believed that it wasn't solely the draconic aura factor that would lead her to fall for the protagonist, compelling her to patiently await his reciprocation.

There must be other factors at play. For instance, anime often features a plot that brings the heroine and protagonist closer, leading them to fall in love.

As someone who enjoys otaku culture, she's surely encountered numerous such narratives in anime and novels.

Yet, when Rias discovered a predetermined plot would dictate her life, forcing her to fall for the protagonist, she felt disgusted and intensely resistant to having her fate controlled.

Even if the perverted protagonist turned out to be exceptionally good, she still didn't want to fall in love with him – she still *had* to fall in love with him?

Is this a joke?

It's utterly absurd!

I, Rias, proudly declare that I want no part in this plot or the protagonist!

"For that, perhaps only Eiji-kun can assist me."

"I should invite him to join my group!"

Strictly speaking, there was no actual need to invite him to the group; however, wouldn't including him facilitate them getting to know each other better?

Rias was certain of her choice, especially since she sensed Eiji wasn't an ordinary human. He must be concealing his abilities, much like that protagonist who feigned weakness before revealing his true strength!

"Cough, for now, I should call Akeno first to discuss this."

She was about to employ telepathic magic rather than contacting the other party via phone for a swifter connection.

But at this very moment, the club room door suddenly swung open. A girl with a black ponytail and violet eyes entered, a playful smile gracing her lips as she announced:

"I know."

Rias: "..."

Know what, exactly?

She just barges in and says, "I know."

Do you know about my favorite panties that I accidentally threw away yesterday?

"Um... Akeno, what precisely do you know? If it's about your missing favorite panties, I apologize! I accidentally discarded them in the trash yesterday!"
