Chapter 478: Infinite Source Transcendence
Xiang Yu materialized within the external chaos before teleporting to its furthest reaches.
Once there, he released the chaos stored within his body. It was no longer necessary to contain it, as it provided him with no further benefit. Furthermore, as the Absolute Source, the location of the chaos was irrelevant; whether it resided within him or without, it remained inherently a part of his essence.
Upon releasing the chaos, a simple wave of his hand triggered a chain reaction that birthed even more. Soon, ten distinct manifestations of chaos were arranged in a circular formation, with a final chaos created at the very center of the ring.
This central point would serve as the new residence for him and his wife.
They had spent millions of years alongside the Sect, settling all their past lingering issues. It was finally time to depart. The Sect was already flourishing, and the presence of beings as overpowered as them was ultimately detrimental to its natural growth.
He couldn't help but facepalm at the thought. The Sect’s hierarchy had essentially collapsed under the weight of their existence. He functioned as the Grand Elder yet was also the Ancestor. His wife served as the Sect Master, but through her bond with him, she was also an Ancestor. Even his martial nephew was simultaneously his martial brother.
Shaking his head at the absurdity, he descended into the newly forged chaos. He then reached into the previous chaos to bring his wife to their new home.
“Husband,” she greeted him.
“This is where we will live from now on. What do you think?” he inquired.
“I love it,” she replied, pulling him into a hug.
With a flick of her wrist, she manifested a massive estate. There was no need for a physical world; she simply constructed it within the void. Together, the two of them floated into their new sanctuary.
…
A million years passed. Xiang Yu sat in a meditative Cultivation posture. He opened his eyes as his wife approached, embracing him from behind.
“Husband…” she whispered softly.
“What is it?” he asked.
“Why are you always focused on Cultivation?” she questioned. Though her husband never hesitated to stop and spend time with her whenever she asked, he invariably returned to his meditative state.
“I must become stronger,” Xiang Yu explained.
“But isn’t Husband already invincible?” Li Yao asked.
Xiang Yu considered her words. He had indeed achieved his goal of total invincibility, yet a sense of incompleteness lingered. Perhaps it was a matter of potential; for some reason, he felt that this was not his true limit—that he could reach even greater heights.
Why did he continue? He was already without peer.
A smile played on his lips as the answer became clear. His obsession wasn't merely with being invincible, but with strength itself. He would always crave more power. That was simply his nature.
Currently, his method for seeking greater strength involved the creation of chaos. He had already birthed a nearly infinite number of chaotic realms. He did this to deepen his mastery over the Absolute Source, even though it felt as if his progress had stalled.
He turned his thoughts toward planes of existence. He decided to overlay various planes onto the numerous chaotic realms he had produced. Regarding this entire collective as a single entity, he used it as the foundation for a new plane.
After another million years, he successfully established the first complex plane of existence.
It consisted of virtually infinite chaos, with each chaos containing countless internal planes. He designated the initial infinite chaos as Level 0.
Once the complex plane was established upon it, it became Complex Level 0.
With this creation, he felt he had finally shattered a specific threshold within himself.
He decided to push further using this method.
…
Another million years went by. He utilized the concept of Complex Level 0 to create a virtually infinite quantity of them, mirroring his earlier work with chaos. He found himself back at a starting point. This vast collection of infinite Complex Level 0s was labeled Level 1.
He repeated the process, building a new plane of existence upon this foundation to create Complex Level 1.
This cycle continued for another million years, using Complex Level 1s to form Level 2, then establishing a plane upon that to reach Complex Level 2.
He persisted in this endeavor for an immeasurable duration, until he eventually reached Infinite Complex Level Infinity.
He opened his eyes. He had finally transcended the Absolute Source.
Gazing at his own hands, he realized he could still grow even stronger. But first—
“Husband… dinner is ready,” Li Yao called out to him.
Xiang Yu rose and walked over to share a meal with his wife.
He felt no rush. He would always answer her call, even in the midst of transcending the Absolute Source. No enemies remained to threaten him, and he possessed all of eternity.
“This is delicious,” he thought, a tear escaping his eye.
The food was truly exceptional—a far cry from her cooking back in Chapter 4.
And she had attained this level of skill through her own diligent effort.
“Husband, why are you crying?” she asked in surprise.
“It’s nothing. It’s just that this is so good,” he replied.
If even Li Yao could master the art of cooking, then surely anyone could improve themselves. Though it had taken her countless years, it was a significant achievement.
“Wife, Husband is very proud of you,” he said warmly.
“Why are you acting so strange?” she asked with a tilt of her head.
…
Later, he returned to his practice.
He contemplated the concept of the Absolute Source that he had moved beyond. Previously, his power was rooted in the Absolute Source, but having transcended it, he lacked a foundation. There was no higher concept left to grasp.
While this would typically mean he had reached his absolute peak, Xiang Yu refused to be limited. An idea struck him.
If he could not grow stronger due to a lack of a power basis, he would become the basis himself. His former realm was Absolute Source, and his current state was Source Transcendence. He simply needed to forge a higher realm.
Yet, wouldn't he just face the same lack of foundation again? That was why he chose to become the foundation.
He summoned the totality of his concept—the infinite complexity that defined his being. He compressed this infinite complexity into a singular point of ultimate simplicity, while still retaining every property and detail.
Then, he layered infinite complexity back onto that condensed core, forcing it to expand without end.
He condensed it into a single point once more, then rewrote his very existence to match this state.
He named this state the Infinite Source Transcendence.
As the name suggested, it was a realm that existed to infinitely transcend itself.
Now, by his mere existence, he gained infinite complexity before transcending it to gain even more layered complexity, a cycle that repeated forever. He was in a state of endless self-transcendence.
In just the first cycle, he felt a level of power that was previously unattainable.
By the second cycle, he was unreachable even to his state in the first cycle.
By the third cycle, he could… I could already take control over my own story.
In that moment, I hear my wife’s voice calling, “Husband.”
I smile as I stand up, the cycles of transcendence still churning within me. “Wife, I’m finished with my Cultivation,” I announce.
“You are?” she asks, surprised.
“That’s right. Now I can focus all my attention on being a father,” I say with a grin.
“How did you know?” she asked, and I only smiled in response.
“Tch, and here I was trying to surprise you,” she pouted.
I laughed heartily. My wife looked incredibly cute in that moment.

Author’s Corner
Absolute Cinema
Well, this is it. The Absolute End.
Infinite Awakening began as something very different from what it is today, and the original ending I envisioned has long been forgotten. This is the destiny we forged for Xiang Yu (yes, we—you and I). In a way, this is our story.
Thank you all for being a part of this journey. I truly enjoyed reading your thoughts and will continue to do so. I hope you enjoyed your time with Xiang Yu, Li Yao, and the rest of the characters.
If there is interest, I will write side stories based on your requests, though I will likely avoid stories featuring the current Xiang Yu since his journey has reached its conclusion. Perhaps focus on the side characters.
My apologies if my thoughts are a bit scattered.
Thank you.
