Immortality Through Array Formations Chapter 2010 Chapter 966: Mine_2
Previously on Immortality Through Array Formations...
Elder Bear was the only individual who remained relatively unscathed.
His only significant loss was a single hand.
Being a demon cultivator, his blood qi possessed rapid regenerative properties, meaning his bodily harm was not particularly critical.
After a moment of deliberation, Elder Bear positioned himself in front of Young Master Xuan.
He loomed large and menacing, his physique adorned with a chaotic blend of bear and snake patterns, radiating a turbulent and oppressive aura of demonic power.
Master Gu and Fan Jin felt a heavy weight press down on them, their scalps prickling with apprehension.
Even a battered late-stage Golden Core demon cultivator was a foe beyond their capabilities; they could only clench their teeth and tighten their hold on their magic treasures, preparing to fight with everything they had.
In that tense moment, Mo Hua let out a mocking laugh and addressed the Bear Demon Cultivator:
"You fool, you are being played for a puppet and you don't even realize it."
Elder Bear flared with rage at being insulted by a mere Foundation Establishment cultivator like Mo Hua, yet he clung to his composure and demanded coldly, "What nonsense are you talking about?"
Mo Hua replied, "He already admitted it—the Dragon Vein is worthless to anyone who lacks the bloodline of the Great Wilderness royalty."
"If you seize the Dragon Vein, you'll be forced to hand it over to him. If he decides to betray you, you'll be left with nothing."
"If he dares to go back on his word, I will end his life," Elder Bear stated frostily.
Mo Hua sneered again, "He is a direct scion of the Mystic Demon Sect, under the protection of their ancestor. If you kill him, you'll be hunted by the entire Mystic Demon Sect for the rest of your days. Have you truly weighed the consequences?"
Elder Bear fell into a grim silence.
Mo Hua pressed on, "Furthermore, there is something else..."
"He openly confessed moments ago that he used blood poison to plant a devil in your Taoist Heart. You cannot place a shred of trust in his promises."
"By planting a devil in your Taoist Heart, he can warp your very perception, tricking you into believing his lies are the absolute truth."
"You would end up obeying his every command without a second thought."
"Look inward and reflect carefully; ask your own soul if what I am saying rings true..."
Mo Hua’s voice took on an eerie, guiding quality as he spoke.
Fuming with internal rage, Young Master Xuan spat out a cold laugh, "You little brat, what kind of garbage are you spewing?"
"Do not interrupt," Mo Hua countered, "unless you want to prove your own guilt."
"You..." Young Master Xuan found himself momentarily speechless.
Elder Bear’s brow furrowed as he looked inward, sensing that Mo Hua’s logic was... surprisingly sound.
Since Young Master Xuan had indeed planted a devil in his Taoist Heart, he was inherently untrustworthy.
However...
Elder Bear cast a suspicious gaze at Mo Hua and said:
"Young Master Xuan is a liar, but you, boy, are far too clever for your own good. I have no reason to trust you either."
"Besides, you are a member of the Taixu Gate, the same sect as that man named Xun."
"I harbor a mountain of grudges and blood debts against the Taixu Gate. One day, I will slaughter everyone associated with it."
Mo Hua looked genuinely puzzled. "What do your grievances with the Taixu Gate have to do with a minor Foundation Building disciple like me?"
"I am only at the Foundation Building Realm. How could I possibly be your enemy?"
Elder Bear paused, momentarily stunned.
That actually made sense...
The Valley of Ten Thousand Demons had been wiped out by that Sword Cultivation Elder, Xun, leading a squadron of Golden Core experts.
The Mystic Demon Sect branch at Yanluo Mountain had also been besieged after Xun Ziyou collaborated with the Court Official to surround them.
Those were strategic moves made by the Taixu Gate's high-ranking officials and executed by their elite Golden Core Elders.
A common Foundation Establishment disciple, who spent their days studying within the sect, would have had nothing to do with such events; they were simply bystanders in the grand scheme of things...
Elder Bear gave a slow nod of agreement.
It never crossed his mind that the true mastermind behind the conflicts at both the Valley of Ten Thousand Demons and Yanluo Mountain was this seemingly harmless, yet cunning, young Taixu Gate disciple standing right before him.
Seeing Elder Bear’s resolve wavering, Mo Hua immediately took the opportunity:
"One must prioritize. Your feud with the Taixu Gate can wait. The most pressing matter is for you to secure the benefits you actually desire."
Elder Bear narrowed his eyes. "Do you even know what it is I want?"
Mo Hua nodded confidently. "You seek the Four Symbols Green Dragon Formation Map. I am the only one who can assist you."
"You? Help me?" Elder Bear scoffed.
Mo Hua gestured toward the beastly patterns etched onto the demon’s skin and explained:
"In your greed for demonic power, you clumsily stitched two distinct sets of powerful monster patterns together."
"While merging the boa and the bear created a potent force, the underlying formations are broken, causing immense strain on your physical form."
"You require the Dragon Pattern to act as a tether for these conflicting patterns, allowing the boa to evolve into a flood dragon, and the flood dragon into a true dragon..."
"This is no simple task. Without the guidance of a Formation Master skilled in the Four Symbols Formation, you won't just fail to reach the dragon stage—you won't even be able to stop the boa and bear patterns from tearing you apart."
Elder Bear was visibly startled. "You actually understand the Four Symbols Formation?"
Mo Hua replied with feigned modesty, "I know a fair bit about it."
Elder Bear thought it over for a second before shaking his head. "Impossible. How could a child like you grasp the secrets of the Four Symbols Formation..."
He was aware of the formation's origins and knew its secrets were not easily obtained by outsiders.
After a brief pause, Mo Hua asked, "Tell me, do you frequently feel a stabbing pain at the Dachui, Fengmen, and Xinshu acupoints on your back?"
The color drained from Elder Bear’s face.
Mo Hua had struck the mark perfectly. "That is the result of your ignorance. You forced the fusion of the boa and bear patterns, causing the formation pivot to shift and the patterns to clash violently."
Elder Bear’s eye twitched. Realizing this young disciple possessed genuine expertise, his skepticism began to evaporate.
Young Master Xuan, unable to remain silent any longer, finally interjected: "Elder Bear, do not let this boy's silver tongue deceive you!"
Mo Hua shot back, "You are the deceiver here. At the very least, I don't go around planting devils in the Taoist Hearts of others; I speak only the truth."
Mo Hua spoke with such unwavering conviction that Young Master Xuan was left fumbling for a rebuttal.
Elder Bear looked back and forth between the calculating Young Master Xuan and the earnest-looking Mo Hua. After weighing his options, he silently turned his back on the Young Master and took up a protective stance in front of Mo Hua once again.
