Immortality Through Array Formations Chapter 2011 Chapter 966: My_3

Previously on Immortality Through Array Formations...
Elder Bear, though injured, stood ready to protect Young Master Xuan. Mo Hua intervened, exposing Young Master Xuan's deception regarding the Dragon Vein and the blood poison he used to plant a devil in Elder Bear's Taoist Heart. Mo Hua then offered Elder Bear help with the Four Symbols Green Dragon Formation Map, demonstrating his knowledge of Elder Bear's unique internal struggles with his combined monster patterns.

The tide of battle shifted once more, and control of the situation returned to Mo Hua's grasp.

Young Master Xuan’s complexion drained of color instantly. Mo Hua watched him in silence for a moment, weighing the possibility of eliminating him right then and there. Given that Young Master Xuan was a descendant of Xuan Sanren and possessed a cunning nature paired with bizarre techniques, the karmic threads suggested he was a high-priority threat.

However, after a brief deliberation, Mo Hua concluded that the Four Symbols Green Dragon Formation took precedence. Time was a luxury they simply did not have.

"Restrain Shen Tuao for me. I need to transcribe the Dragon Patterns from his body," Mo Hua commanded Elder Bear. He then glanced back at Young Master Xuan, who seemed to be plotting his next move. Mo Hua issued a sharp warning: "I won't strike you for now, but do not test my patience. Once I have copied these patterns, we are leaving. Any further disputes will be settled outside."

"Do not forget that an Evil Embryo still slumbers in this tomb; it is the true monster here."

The Second Elder had traded his life to temporarily mask their presence from the Evil Embryo, but that protection was limited to a single hour. By Mo Hua's estimation, they had less than an hour remaining.

"If you cause further delays and the Evil Embryo wakes, no one leaves this place alive. Against a Third Grade peak Evil Embryo, even your ancestor’s arrival would be futile," Mo Hua stated icily.

Resentment flickered in Young Master Xuan’s eyes, but fear took a stronger hold, and he refrained from interfering further. Following Mo Hua’s lead, Elder Bear moved to suppress Shen Tuao. Though Shen Tuao was severely maimed and on the brink of death, Mo Hua took no chances. Demon Cultivators were notorious for their deceit; there was always a possibility he was feigning the extent of his injuries. Having Elder Bear pin him down was a necessary precaution.

Xun Ziyou, who had been focused on his recovery, used his sword as a crutch to stand. He positioned himself at Mo Hua’s side, acting as a shield against any potential treachery. After surviving numerous perils, Mo Hua finally laid eyes on the authentic Dragon Diagram.

Across Shen Tuao’s back, an ancient, majestic, and terrifying green Dragon Diagram was visible. It was a masterpiece formed by condensing the essence of countless monsters into a draconic shape. By resonating with the Dragon Vein, the Monster Qi had been purified and the patterns assimilated. The original Evil Dragon Formation had "revolved," transforming into the orthodox Four Symbols Green Dragon Formation of the Great Wilderness.

This was the fruit of Mr. Tu’s arduous "Myriad Monsters Raising Dragon" technique. Mo Hua’s Lifebound Formation Map had finally found its missing piece. Upon closer inspection, he realized this was a Second Grade Twenty-One Pattern Ultimate Formation—a royal inheritance of the Great Wilderness Dragon Patterns.

An Ultimate Formation! Mo Hua’s eyes sparkled with irrepressible excitement. He immediately produced a Jade Slip and began the intense process of transcribing the Four Symbols Green Dragon Ultimate Formation. Recording such a diagram was a monumental task; it required a profound Cultivation of formation theory to ensure every stroke was captured without a single error. Being an Ultimate Formation only magnified the difficulty.

Mo Hua focused his mind, using his Divine Thought as a brush. One by one, the intricate patterns were etched into the Jade Slip. However, as he worked, a chilling sense of dread began to pool in his chest, as if something malevolent was creeping toward him.

Mo Hua’s brow furrowed, his heart racing. Suddenly, a sense of extreme danger triggered an alarm in his mind. He looked up, his face losing all color. "Elder Xun, watch out!"

Xun Ziyou hadn't sensed the threat, but seeing Mo Hua’s panicked expression, he relied on his battle instincts. He drew his longsword and slashed upward with a violent force. The sound of steel biting into bone rang out. Xun Ziyou quickly pulled Mo Hua behind him and retreated several meters before looking up.

His pupils shrank. Clinging to the golden beams of the temple was a pale, four-limbed creature. It was a twisted fusion of human and demon, its face a distorted mask—a "Human Demon." The others noticed it too, their faces filled with shock.

"What is that thing?!"

The pale human demon emitted a bone-chilling cackle. Blood oozed from its pores, turning into a thick crimson mist that began to fill the hall. Seeing this, Mo Hua realized that the blood mist Young Master Xuan had used to plant the devil in their Taoist hearts hadn't been entirely his own. A portion of that power belonged to this creature. The human demon had been lurking in the hall for a long time, covertly goading them into a bloody struggle for the dragon vein.

"But... how did we miss it?" Mo Hua wondered, his brows knitting together.

As the mist grew denser, the pale creature vanished from their sight and perception. Even when they swept the area with their Divine Sense, they found nothing. A heavy gloom settled over the Golden Core cultivators; the creature was not just hideous, it was unnervingly eerie. They scanned the room, fully alert, yet the demon remained hidden.

Suddenly, a golden light flickered in the depths of Mo Hua’s eyes, allowing him to catch the movement of a cunning blood shadow. "Elder Bear, behind you!"

Elder Bear Pi reacted instantly, his arm shifting into the form of a python as he swung backward. The python clamped its jaws onto something, but the creature's bone and flesh were too dense to pierce. The pale human demon tore itself free. As it did, Mo Hua anticipated its next move and ducked behind Xun Ziyou. A pale hand lunged through the blood shadow, grasping at the space Mo Hua had occupied just a second before. Because Mo Hua had moved early, the attack hit nothing but air.

Xun Ziyou lunged forward, his sword carving a deep, bloody gash into the creature's pale arm. The monster roared, leaped into the rafters, and vanished again. Mo Hua’s golden eyes scanned the hall with majestic intensity, tracking the demon's path. Moments later, Mo Hua pointed, launching a fireball toward Fan Jin’s flank.

Fan Jin dodged just as Xun Ziyou followed up with a sword strike. The fireball erupted, exposing the deformed figure, which was then struck by sword Qi. The human demon stumbled back, its blood-red eyes fixed on Mo Hua with pure hatred. "Kid... what are you?" it rasped in a shredded voice.

It couldn't understand how a mere child could perceive its movements and predict its strikes. Mo Hua offered no reply, simply gathering more fire at his fingertips. The creature’s stitched-together face twisted further, but its rage soon turned into a predatory grin. It opened its mouth, launching a long, crimson tongue like a blood spear toward the far end of the hall.

Realizing its target, Mo Hua’s heart hammered against his ribs. "Stop it!"

Elder Bear Pi was momentarily confused, his reaction lagging. Master Gu and Fan Jin lacked the strength to intervene. Only Elder Xun Ziyou moved, his sword Qi slicing through the air. He managed to sever the blood spear, but it was a fraction too late. While half was destroyed, the remaining segment continued its flight.

It struck the corpse of the Second Elder, who had died maintaining the seal on the Evil Embryo. The blood spear pierced the body, and the corruption immediately began to pollute the dragon bones. The protective sorcery shattered. The Second Elder’s remains withered away instantly as they were drained of essence, and the white bone chains binding the Evil Embryo crumbled into dust.

Their remaining time evaporated instantly. A chaotic, suffocating, and terrifyingly deep aura flooded the Divine Temple, reaching into every corner. Mo Hua’s pupils trembled in fear. The Third Grade peak Evil Embryo had finally awakened.
