I Arrived At Wizard World While Cultivating Immortality Chapter 990: Ninth Level, Discovered

Among these behemoths, more than a thousand individuals were also tagged as leader-level.
But what concerned Jie Ming most was not these leader-level behemoths, but the three colossal figures deep within the whole nest complex.
“Ninth-level creatures…” Jie Ming’s voice dropped a little.
On the light screen, the size of those three behemoths was even more outrageous.
Even the leader-level behemoths, with bodies the size of stars, were as tiny beside them as an ant before a blue whale.
One was shaped like a gigantic lizard, its back covered in thick black scales, rows of huge bone spikes growing along its spine.
Another had a body like a sea beast, with a broad head, several thick limbs extending from either side of its body, and a surface covered in deep blue scales.
The third had a body like a coiled giant serpent, yet its back bore layer upon layer of carapace, and several curved horn-like structures grew from its enormous skull.
The three ninth-level behemoths each occupied a different position.
They did not seem to take part in the resource gathering around them, nor did they move about freely like ordinary behemoths; they simply stayed quietly in the depths of the nests.
Yet their mere presence filled the entire region with an utterly terrifying sense of oppression.
“I never expected three ninth-level creatures here. It seems the Behemoth Alliance really does value this region.”
Jack stood beside him, looking at the three behemoths with a somewhat dazed expression.
He had only recently advanced to the sixth level, and though he considered his combat power decent, facing three ninth-level behemoths at once was still beyond anything in his experience.
Even observing only through the light screen, he could feel the immense pressure those creatures gave off.
Dixon, meanwhile, had put away his smile and was carefully observing the movement patterns of the three ninth-level behemoths.
As an eighth-level fate-discipline wizard, he could pick out subtle omens of danger in the activity of these creatures.
“They’ve probably already noticed us.”
Dixon had barely finished speaking when the image on the light screen changed.
The masses of behemoths scattered through the nests seemed to have received some message, and stopped what they were doing almost simultaneously.
Then, one after another, they raised their heads and looked in the same direction.
It was exactly where the ship-plane was.
Clearly, the enemy had discovered them!
On size alone, the gap between the two sides was simply enormous; a single behemoth was probably larger than the entire wizard fleet.
But the Behemoth Alliance had, after all, been at war with the wizard civilization for several hundred years, and it had long since understood that these tiny-looking creatures were no ordinary prey to be devoured at will.
The behemoths that had looked down on wizards in the past had already paid a heavy price for it.
So once the ship-plane’s trail was discovered, behemoths rose in droves.
The servant races that had been gathering resources also quickly stopped their work and began assembling in designated areas.
One nest after another was activated; the energy channels scattered across the plane fragments gradually lit up, and masses of servants advanced along the spatial links.
Before long, the entire behemoth camp had gone to a combat footing.
“They react fast enough, I’ll give them that.”
Peyton watched the scene without a trace of surprise on his face.
He had been through far too many wars like this one, and of course he would not expect the enemy to sit obediently in place and let the wizard civilization scout them at leisure.
“Since we’ve been exposed, we prepare for battle directly.” Peyton turned around, his voice turning grave.
“Alvis, Meridian, notify all combat units to deploy in formation according to the established plan. The servant units and auxiliary legions will establish the front line first; after that, we’ll decide the order in which the high-level wizards are committed based on what the enemy leaders do.”
“Understood!”
The two eighth-level wizards set to work at once.
Alarms sounded one after another inside the ship-plane, and vast numbers of rune arrays rapidly went to combat status.
Jie Ming began making his own preparations as well; he knew very well that the coming battle could no longer be avoided.
“Jack, get ready to move out,” Jie Ming said to his disciple.
Jack nodded at once. “Yes, Teacher.”
Dixon stepped up beside the two of them, his Fate Law running without pause. “I’ll keep as close a watch as I can on the high-level enemies’ movements. If the situation changes beyond what we expect, our first priority is getting ourselves out safely.”
Jie Ming nodded. “Understood!”
The three did not linger, and quickly left the ship-plane.
By the time they appeared in the void, the wizard civilization’s legion ahead had already deployed.
More than five million wizards of the sixth level and above were rapidly sorted into groups by their law specializations and combat assignments.
Masses of constructs, elemental beings and other auxiliary units poured out of every wizard’s storage space, forming layer upon layer of forward formations.
Wizards of different law systems coordinated with one another; the auxiliary units established defensive lines while the elemental constructs advanced along predetermined routes.
Only behind these units came the high-level wizards preparing to enter the battle.
On the other side, the behemoths’ camp looked a complete mess; they simply drove their servants forward in a rough sort of way, with nothing you could call real organization.
Yet even with so disorderly a formation, the behemoths, relying on their enormous bodies, astonishing constitutions and vast servant populations, still displayed considerable might.
Before Jie Ming had time to observe closely, the two sides’ vanguards had already made contact.
Boom!
A dense sheet of energy ripples swept across.
The Behemoth Alliance’s servant races launched the first attack, masses of seventh-level creatures turning into streaks of light and charging the front of the wizard legion.
At the same time, the wizard civilization’s constructs and elemental beings pushed forward rapidly too, and the two sides collided fiercely in the endless chaotic void.
Dazzling bursts of energy light erupted without end.
Some of the servant creatures were blasted apart on the spot, reduced to great swaths of wreckage.
Others forced their way through the attacks into the formations and engaged the wizard legion’s auxiliary units at close quarters.
The fighting already looked quite fierce, but for the truly immense legions on both sides, this counted only as probing between vanguards.
The high-level forces that would truly decide the course of the battlefield had not yet been formally committed.
Jie Ming, with Jack in tow, halted at the rear of the legion together with Dixon.
Just then, Jie Ming noticed an anomaly in the space far away.
Deep in the Behemoth Alliance camp, the three ninth-level behemoths had slowly raised their heads.
Their colossal bodies began to move.
At the same time, Peyton, Alvis and Meridian had also left the ship-plane, each spreading out their own law fixation in one of three directions.
The auras of the three eighth-level wizards climbed rapidly as they faced off from afar against the ninth-level behemoths ahead.
On one side, colossal creatures large enough to warp gravity.
On the other, wizards who had mastered the new version of Leap Power.
As the two sides’ auras clashed again and again, the once-calm endless chaotic void around them had already begun to shudder with wide-ranging energy tremors.
The battle was about to erupt!
