Jie Ming was trapped by the Holy Spirit main force, but he revealed that their diversion had left their spatial passage vulnerable. Meanwhile, Augusta and the Black Giant priests opened the passage, overwhelming the Holy Spirits with sheer mental energy. Augusta then charged through the opened passage, effortlessly incapacitating those who tried to stop her.

On another battlefield, the Three Great Sovereigns received urgent intelligence from the forces left behind, all at the same moment.

The Blood Tentacle Tyrant’s temper exploded instantly. Its tentacles lashed furiously at the void, whipping several Holy Spirit generals nearby who had not dodged in time into pieces.

“Bastard!”

It suddenly raised all of its tentacles, and frenzied mental energy began to sweep across the battlefield.

“Kill! Kill him first!”

“As long as we kill him first, a few losses are entirely acceptable!”

The Dark Realm Monarch and the Soul-Devouring Holy Sovereign gave orders at the same time.

“Kill him, then go back to reinforce at once, and we can still recover our losses!”

In an instant, the whole sky boiled.

A Holy Spirit army so vast it was suffocating bore down on Jie Ming all at once.

In the distance, the dense swarm of Holy Spirit Kings unleashed their power one after another.

Faced with this situation, Jie Ming reached out and pointed.

And so the formation of dragonblood mushroom-men surrounding him also began to move.

Tens of thousands of seventh-level mushroom-men charged out of the formation, their grey-brown bodies like a tide flowing against the current beneath the heavens, pouncing toward the Holy Spirit armies on every side.

Their movements were perfectly uniform, and each one had locked onto its nearest target.

The Holy Spirit Kings instinctively unleashed attacks to intercept them, but there were too many mushroom-men, and since the Holy Spirit army had been about to charge anyway, the foremost wave was already right up against the edge of the Holy Spirit army.

The dragonblood mushroom-man at the very front suddenly stopped.

It raised its head and looked at the enemies before it, who were about to attack, and in an instant a glaring blood-red light lit up across the surface of its body.

Boom!!!

The mushroom-man self-destructed outright.

Terrifying power exploded, forming in an instant an almost tangible storm of energy.

The elements within tens of thousands of kilometres were thrown into complete disorder, and space cracked like glass into a dense web of fissures.

A Holy Spirit King that had come too close was caught off guard and swept straight into the heart of the explosion. Its thick carapace shattered across large areas, and its body was blasted flying.

“Fall back!”

“Everyone, get back!”

Great numbers of Holy Spirit Kings sent out shocked and furious mental waves at once.

But it was too late. Thousands upon thousands of dragonblood mushroom-men had already rushed out in every direction and were self-destructing one after another.

These mushroom-men already possessed seventh-level power in their own right, and the energy they released on self-destructing far exceeded their normal state.

Even though the Holy Spirit Kings around them had eighth-level strength, they did not dare take it head-on without any defence.

Boom boom boom boom boom!

The explosions merged into one, and the whole battlefield seemed to be going through an elemental storm of immense scale.

“Damn it!”

The Soul-Devouring Holy Sovereign finally realised something: “He means to destroy this plane!”

The words had only just gone out when the whole land began to quake violently.

The place they were in at that moment was, after all, a medium-sized plane.

To keep the fighting between the two sides from directly harming the world itself, the Holy Spirit race had long ago laid a great many defensive formulae here, and had even used the Plane Origin to continually reinforce its space and material structure.

But while these preparations were enough against ordinary powerhouses, against the continuous self-destruction of tens of thousands of seventh-level dragonblood mushroom-men they still fell far short.

The self-destruction of a mere few dozen mushroom-men was enough to break straight through the limit of what this plane could endure.

Boom!!!

The whole world suddenly split open!

Land, mountains, oceans and cities crumbled at the same moment. The thick planar barrier burst apart from the centre in every direction, and endless fragments of space were swept into the void.

But the self-destruction of the remaining tens of thousands of dragonblood mushroom-men still did not stop.

One terrifying explosion after another went on erupting over the remains of the already shattered plane.

The world fragments that had once belonged to this medium-sized plane, driven by the frenzied explosions, hurtled out in every direction like cannonballs.

Vast, violent elemental turbulence was swept up in the explosions, mixing with the plane’s remains into a sky-blotting tide of destruction that crashed into the surrounding planes.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Plane after plane burst like fragile bubbles in this terrifying chain of explosions.

The once tightly packed structure of the plane cluster was forcibly torn apart, and great swathes of space fell into utter chaos.

The mental waves of the Three Great Sovereigns turned into roars almost at the same moment.

“You damned bastard!”

“You madman!”

“Stop!”

Yet a calamity of this magnitude was something no one could stop.

Even they themselves had no choice but to fall back for the time being.

And amid these earth-shaking explosions, Jie Ming’s figure silently began to move away from the battlefield.

The Great Void Step activated quietly. His enormous Dharma Form took a single stride, its body merging into the already twisted spatial structures of the endless chaotic void.

Space lost its once-clear boundaries.

Jie Ming seemed to have become part of the void itself, gliding into the distance along the raging spatial currents.

By the time the Three Great Sovereigns finally forced their way through layer upon layer of explosions and fought their way out of the chaotic elemental tide, all they could see was a white figure extremely far away.

In that short time, Jie Ming had already left the core area of the plane cluster.

“After him! Don’t let him get away!” the Blood Tentacle Tyrant roared furiously.

Great numbers of Holy Spirit Kings immediately gave chase.

Yet not long after they set off in pursuit, they found that the terrifying human wizard had already stopped.

Jie Ming turned around and quietly regarded the pursuing Holy Spirit host and the vast plane cluster behind it, then slowly raised one hand of his Dharma Form.

In that moment, the Three Great Sovereigns all had an extremely bad feeling at once.

Behind Jie Ming, a huge array silently appeared.

The dense array unfolded continuously across the void, layer upon layer, covering an immense swathe of space.

Even beside Jie Ming’s 250,000-kilometre Dharma Form, this array did not look small.

Intricate rune structures and countless energy nodes meshed together, jointly building some kind of colossal machine capable of remaking heaven and earth.

Jie Ming calmly uttered a few words:

“Breathing Soil Creation.”

Creak…

The whole void seemed to pause for an instant.

Then terrifying power descended.

The Three Great Sovereigns changed colour almost at once. They burst out at their greatest speed and fled frantically into the distance.

But the Holy Spirit Kings that had charged out along with them were not so lucky.

The magic’s range was too vast, so vast that no ordinary eighth-level creature could possibly escape it in a short time.

Great swathes of the void began to congeal under the power of the magic.

One Holy Spirit King had only just turned around when it discovered in horror that it was losing control of its body.

“What is this?”

“Run!”

“My body…”

The next instant, its entire body abruptly shrank.

Bone, flesh, carapace, mental energy… all of it began to be forcibly compressed and refined.

And it was not only these Holy Spirits; the thousands of surviving planes around them underwent the same change.

Huge planes were drawn in bit by bit by an invisible force. Endless matter and energy were all compressed together, and great swathes of planes began to be kneaded into a single whole like clay.

The Holy Spirit Kings caught up in it could not break free either.

The power they took such pride in looked, for the first time, so fragile before this magic.

As an engineering magic, Breathing Soil Creation had plenty of drawbacks: it was slow to cast, complicated to prepare, cumbersome to perform…

But its strong point was simple: it packed a real punch!

Enough of a punch to refine even eighth-level lifeforms into it by sheer force.

Soon, a strange blank space had actually appeared on the outer edge of the once-vast plane cluster.

Thousands of planes had vanished, and over ten thousand Holy Spirit Kings had vanished with them.

All of it had been refined into a single clump of earth-yellow substance no bigger than a knuckle.

Looking at this clump of Breathing Soil, though, there was some regret in Jie Ming’s eyes.

In terms of practical use, Breathing Soil Creation was almost on a par with the Great Annihilation Divine Light: a magic that meant giving up most of the spoils the moment it was used.

Using a magic like Breathing Soil Creation on abandoned planes would be fine.

But every plane ruled by the Holy Spirit race was exceptionally rich in resources.

Refining them into Breathing Soil was a truly reckless waste of heaven’s gifts!

Jie Ming beckoned with one hand, and the clump of Breathing Soil drifted slowly into his palm.

He took out a piece of Essence Gold, carefully wrapped the clump in it, then put it away in his inner world.

The whole process was eerily quiet.

The remaining Holy Spirit Kings were completely stunned.

They looked at the plane cluster that had been so enormous only moments ago, then at the lump of Breathing Soil that had now vanished from sight, and fear rose from the depths of their hearts.

Even the Three Great Sovereigns paused briefly in that moment.

But soon, the Blood Tentacle Tyrant’s body swelled abruptly: “You’re courting death!”

The Dark Realm Monarch and the Soul-Devouring Holy Sovereign held nothing back anymore either.

In just a few breaths, the bodies of the three Sovereigns grew wildly, until every one of them had reached a colossal size of hundreds of thousands of kilometres.

The three terrifying behemoths charged at Jie Ming together.

Boom!!!

Three forces erupted at once.

Jie Ming had only just raised a hand to block the first strike when his expression changed slightly.

So strong!

These three were simply not the same level of existence as the ordinary Holy Spirit Kings from before.

They were plainly eighth-level lifeforms all the same, yet whether in strength, defence or mastery of their own power, the Three Great Sovereigns were absurdly strong.

Boom!

A massive mental shockwave blasted Jie Ming millions of kilometres backward.

The next moment, the Dark Realm Monarch had already appeared at his flank.

Boom!!!

Jie Ming raised his arm and blocked it head-on, yet the terrifying power still tore away a large swathe of his Dharma Form’s outer layer.

The platinum flames flickered violently.

Immediately afterwards, the Blood Tentacle Tyrant’s attack came again. Countless blood-red tentacles, like a mountain range spanning the void, lashed down all at once.

Jie Ming crossed his arms.

Boom!

The whole Dharma Form was smashed downward, and space burst apart beneath his feet.

“Strong.”

This was what a true eighth-level powerhouse looked like.

In theory, before advancing to the ninth level, there was no absolute upper limit to an eighth-level lifeform’s power.

Given enough time and accumulated resources, they could keep strengthening themselves without end.

These Three Great Sovereigns of the Holy Spirit race had evidently spent extremely long ages settling at the eighth level; their combat power was far beyond anything an ordinary eighth-level lifeform could compare with.

Moreover, although Jie Ming had already made extensive adjustments aimed at the Holy Spirit race, such targeting was not all-powerful either.

Beings at the level of the Three Great Sovereigns could simply counter it with their sheer power.

Jie Ming could see through some of their weaknesses, but it was hard to suppress them absolutely the way he dealt with ordinary Holy Spirits.

“Die!” the Blood Tentacle Tyrant bellowed.

The Three Great Sovereigns charged again.

Jie Ming did not retreat either. Laughing wildly, he swung his fist: “Come on!”

In the endless chaotic void, four figures of unimaginable size collided violently.

Boom!!!

A massive shockwave swept across the void, and the remaining planes nearby were all shaken.

Elemental tides rolled into the distance like a tsunami, and spatial cracks were torn open one after another.

Jie Ming’s Dharma Form and the Three Great Sovereigns crossed and clashed, completing over a thousand collisions in just a few breaths.

With each collision, vast energy burst apart like a galaxy.

For a time, the whole chaotic void was churned up.
