I Am A Boss Mommy That Wants To Slack Chapter 879 -: Extra: Chu Tianye (49)
Previously on I Am A Boss Mommy That Wants To Slack...
Chu Tianye gripped the suitcase tightly in his grasp.
He gritted his teeth while staring at Su Yan, then abruptly questioned, “Are you sure you’ve thought this through?”
Su Yan froze for a second.
Her jaw clenched as she stayed quiet.
With a laugh, Chu Tianye grabbed his suitcase and went down the stairs.
“Bang.”
The door shut.
Silence enveloped the whole room right away.
Over this period, Su Yan had grown used to having Chu Tianye around her place daily. Yet with him now departed, everything felt off—the space had lost far more than merely one presence; it appeared utterly vacant.
Tears flowed soundlessly down Su Yan's cheeks as she sank onto the couch.
This existence was simply too marvelous; she couldn't stand parting with it!
After sobbing for an indefinite stretch, Su Yan rose at last. In the bathroom, she splashed water on her face, yet gazing at her puffy, reddened eyes in the mirror brought a weighty ache to her heart.
With a deep inhale, she stepped from the master bedroom to fix some dinner.
But opening the fridge revealed it completely bare.
While Su Yan focused on her drama project lately, Chu Tianye rarely returned home, leaving the refrigerator devoid of food long ago.
Gazing at the vacant fridge, Su Yan abruptly sensed how enormous the house truly was, filling her with isolation.
Fresh tears surged forth beyond her control.
Right then, the front door creaked open.
Startled, Su Yan dashed over and spotted Chu Tianye wheeling his suitcase inside once more.
He paused, eyed Su Yan, and said, “I returned because there's one thing I needed to clarify before I go.”
Su Yan asked, “What is it?”
“You mentioned not wanting to release this life. Does that mean you don't want to release me either?”
Su Yan stood stunned.
Tears flooded her eyes fiercer than before.
She nodded hard. “Yes.”
“How much?”
Su Yan paused briefly. “A little.”
“How much exactly is ‘a little’?”
“Tons—I absolutely can't bear to let go.”
Eyes brimming with tears, Su Yan wrapped her arms around him firmly.
Come morning, Su Yan awoke to eyes nearly sealed shut from swelling.
She shifted slightly, only to get drawn straight back into Chu Tianye’s embrace.
Flipping around, she aimed to sleep more.
But Chu Tianye whispered right by her ear, “Had enough rest yet?”
“Not yet.”
“You have.”
Following a wild bout, Su Yan didn’t stir awake until 4 PM.
Her weary frame nudged Chu Tianye as she inquired, “What’s for dinner this evening?”
Grinning, Chu Tianye answered, “Heading home for dinner. Xiaomeng and Chu Yu have returned. Mom and Dad wish to present you to them.”
Su Yan, “!!!”
Moments ago, she could barely twitch a finger, but suddenly Su Yan sprang upright, yelling in distress, “Chu Tianye, why keep this from me till now?!”
Chu Tianye watched her frantic scrubbing of face, brushing teeth, and applying makeup, chuckling as he said, “Plenty of time left; meetup’s at six.”
“Six o’clock!! Don’t you realize it’s a full hour drive to your place? You’ve left me just one hour to prepare!” Su Yan whirled about in frenzy. “Ah, I haven’t even put on makeup—what now?”
“No makeup needed; you shine brightest au naturel.”
Six o’clock that evening.
Su Yan fidgeted tensely in Chu Tianye’s car upon reaching Chu Manor.
This marked her initial trip back post-wedding.
The Chu estate sprawled immensely.
A five-minute ride separated the gate from Chu parents’ residence.
Su Yan’s eyes grew wide, scanning everything with keen interest.
Rumors said Chu Yu, Chu Xiaomeng, and Chu Tianye formed a triplet set. Did the siblings mirror Chu Tianye perfectly?
Thoughts buzzing with wonder, she exited the vehicle and followed Chu Tianye into the living room.
Upon stepping in, her gaze locked instantly on a stately figure in a suit adorned with golden embroidery, poised there.
That was Chu Yu, famed as Country A’s Crown Prince.
