Leo is distracted by a new mob encroaching on his territory while Bella is engrossed in cartoons. When the baby kicks, Bella starts feeling strange and then realizes her water has broken, signaling the baby's imminent arrival.

"You’re literally shaking!" Bella said with difficulty.

"I’m not shaking." jace quickly.

"You are!"

"I’m calling everyone, that’s all!"

Bella stared at him in disbelief while he hurriedly explained the situation over the phone.

"Her water broke. Yes, just now. She’s awake and responsive but she’s feeling strange sensations... Yes, we’re at home... Yes, the medical team is already on-site."

His voice became more serious as he listened to the instructions.

"Okay. Understood."

He ended the call and immediately contacted the other members of Bella’s medical team.

Fortunately, they were at home, exactly where everyone wanted Bella to be at this stage of her pregnancy. The entire house had been prepared carefully for her safety, with medical support available around the clock. Everything Bella might need had already been arranged, so there was no reason to risk rushing her somewhere unfamiliar while the medical team could monitor her right there.

Within moments, the atmosphere inside the house changed completely.

Staff members began moving around, gathering the things the medical team requested while remaining remarkably calm. The doctors and nurses came in to assess Bella, checking her condition and reassuring her while making sure everything was progressing safely.

Jace hurried back toward her.

"Bella Bell, stay calm, okay?"

Bella stared at him, one hand still resting protectively over her huge tummy.

"I think I’m scared." she said feeling sacred.

Jace’s expression immediately softened.

"Hey, it’s okay."

He crouched beside the sofa and carefully took her hand, giving her fingers a reassuring squeeze.

"You’re not alone. Everyone is here."

Bella looked down at their hands. Her fingers were trembling slightly.

Jace noticed and tightened his hold just enough to reassure her. "Look at me bella bell."

Bella slowly lifted her eyes.

"You’re safe," he said gently. "The doctors are here. The nurses are here. I’m here. And Leo is going to be here very soon too."

Bella’s eyes immediately became a little wider at the mention of Leo.

"Leo..."

"He’s coming."

Jace reached for his phone again.

"I’ll make sure he knows exactly what’s happening."

Bella nodded, trying to breathe slowly.

But another unfamiliar sensation suddenly passed through her, making her entire body tense.

Her fingers immediately tightened around Jace’s hand. "Jace..."

"I’m here." She squeezed his hand harder.

"Jace, it happened again."

Jace looked at her with concern but he tried his best to keep his expression calm.

"Okay. Just breathe, Bella Bell."

Bella took a shaky breath.

"I don’t know what I’m supposed to do."

"You don’t have to figure everything out right now."

Jace rubbed the back of her hand gently.

"Just listen to the doctors. They’ll tell you what to do."

Bella nodded, although her eyes were still wide with uncertainty.

She looked down at her tummy again.

For months, that huge round belly had been growing little by little, becoming the center of everyone’s attention. Leo had taken hundreds of pictures of it, Bella had complained about how difficult it had become to move around and everyone in the house had joked about how impatient they were to meet the baby.

But now...

Bella slowly placed both hands over her tummy.

"Is the baby really coming?"

Jace gave her a nervous little smile.

"Looks like your little one has decided it’s time to meet everyone."

Bella stared at him for a moment.

Then, despite the fear in her eyes, the smallest smile appeared on her lips. "My baby..."

Jace smiled.

"Yep."

Bella rubbed her tummy gently.

"Today?"

Jace glanced toward the medical team before looking back at her.

"Looks like it."

Bella’s eyes became watery.

She wasn’t sure whether she wanted to laugh or cry.

Jace noticed immediately and leaned closer. "Hey, hey. Don’t cry."

"I’m not crying." Bella said crying.

"You are crying bella bell." Jace said his eye watered as well.

Bella sniffed.

"I’m scared."

"I know." Jace gave her hand another gentle squeeze. "But you’re going to be okay."

Bella looked at him for a few seconds before slowly nodding.

Then she felt another movement beneath her palm.

Her eyes widened.

"The baby moved."

Jace’s face softened.

"Really?"

Bella nodded.

She looked down at her tummy, her expression filled with a strange mixture of fear, wonder and happiness.

Jace smiled. "Maybe they’re saying hello before coming out."

Bella let out a tiny laugh through her nervousness.

"You think so?"

"I do." He glanced toward her enormous tummy.

"Although they probably picked the worst possible time to surprise us."

Bella laughed again, she sound more relaxed.

Jace smiled when he heard it.

Still holding her hand, he stayed beside her as the medical team continued preparing everything around them.

The moment Leo received the news that Bella’s water had broken, he left his office without wasting another second.

He barely remembered the drive home. Normally, every turn, every traffic light and every vehicle around him would have registered in his mind automatically but this time, none of it seemed important. His thoughts were completely occupied by one thing.

Bella.

By the time Leo reached home, he was already moving toward the entrance before the car had completely settled.

The moment he stepped inside the house, he immediately began looking around, his eyes scanning the familiar rooms with an rush that nobody had ever seen from him before. His gaze finally landed on the group of people gathered outside the private delivery room.

Leo’s heart dropped.

He rushed toward them.

"Where is she?"

His voice was breathless from how quickly he had come.

"Where is Bella?"

His eyes immediately moved toward the closed door and without thinking, he took a step toward it.

Lina quickly stepped in front of him.

"Leo, wait. She’s inside."

Leo stopped. His gaze remained fixed on the door.

"Inside?"

"Yes. The medical team is with her."

Leo ran a hand through his hair, trying to catch his breath. His usually neat hair was slightly disheveled, his shirt collar was no longer sitting perfectly and the calm, intimidating expression he normally wore had completely disappeared.

"When did it happen?"

"Not long ago," Lina explained gently. "Jace was with her when her water broke. He called the doctors immediately."

Leo’s gaze snapped toward Jace.

"What happened?"

Jace immediately raised both hands.

"Bro, don’t look at me like that. I didn’t do anything!"

Leo frowned. "I didn’t say you did."

"I know, but your face is scary right now."

Jay, who was standing nearby, quietly nodded.

"He’s right. You look like you’re about to interrogate the entire house."

Leo ignored both of them.

"How is Bella?"
