Leo’s decision had been right.

Perhaps he had worried unnecessarily. He had wondered whether Bella would be ready, whether Eli would accept them, whether bringing a child into their home would be a good decision or not. But seeing them together now, he couldn’t imagine the house without that little voice anymore.

Jay was holding several papers in his hand and after watching them for another moment, he grinned mischievously.

"Bella Bell, little Champ!"

Bella looked up.

Before she could say anything, Eli immediately lifted his head from her shoulder and corrected him with complete seriousness.

"Big Champ!"

The room went silent for half a second.

Then Jay burst out laughing. His laughter echoed through the room, bright and warm.

"Big Champ?"

Eli nodded proudly, his small chin lifting.

"Yes!"

Jay walked farther into the room, shaking his head in amusement.

"Of course. My mistake. How could I possibly forget?"

Eli sat straighter, puffing out his tiny chest.

"I am four."

Jay put a hand over his heart, his expression exaggeratedly sincere.

"Four! That’s practically forty."

Bella immediately laughed. "Don’t encourage him."

"I’m just respecting his age," Jay said solemnly, though his eyes were sparkling with amusement.

Eli looked pleased, a tiny smile spreading across his face.

"Thank you."

Jace, standing behind Jay, chuckled softly as he watched Eli’s proud little expression.

Bella noticed the papers in Jay’s hands and pointed toward them curiously.

"What’s this?" she asked, her head tilting slightly.

Jay immediately grinned, his eyes sparkling with barely contained excitement. "Guess?"

He glanced toward Leo and then at Jace, as though the three of them were sharing some secret that Bella had no idea about.

Bella narrowed her eyes thoughtfully, her gaze moving between the three men. "Some important contract?"

Jace shook his head, a rare smile appearing on his face. "Something far more important."

Bella looked at Jay again, her curiosity growing. "Umm... a new property?"

Jay shook his head enthusiastically, his grin widening. "Nope! Nope!"

"New investment?"

"Wrong again!"

Bella threw her hands up helplessly, a laugh escaping her lips. "Well, you can tell me! I give up. I lost."

Jay laughed, clearly enjoying himself far too much. He had been waiting for this moment all day, and the suspense was making him practically vibrate with excitement.

"Okay, okay! I’ll tell you."

He lifted the papers slightly, his face glowing with pure joy. "You know we gave samples for surrogacy?"

Bella blinked, her heart suddenly beating faster. "Yes?"

Jay’s grin became enormous, stretching across his face. "It’s successful!"

For a second, Bella didn’t understand. She tried to fully register his words in her mind.

Then Jay continued happily, his voice rising with excitement, "Jace and I are going to meet our little one nine months from now!"

Bella’s eyes widened.

She became completely still, frozen in place as the news sank in. Her lips parted slightly, and her breath caught in her throat.

"Really...?" Her voice was barely above a whisper.

Jay nodded excitedly, his head bobbing up and down. "Really!"

Bella immediately looked toward Jace. He smiled and nodded, his face also looking extremely happy and cheerful.

Bella’s mouth slowly curved into a huge smile. Her entire face lit up, and her eyes sparkled with tears.

"Oh my God..." She covered her mouth with both hands, her eyes shining with emotion. "Really?"

Jace chuckled softly, his voice warm. "Really, Bella."

Bella’s hands dropped from her face, and she let out a sound that was half laugh, half sob. "You’re going to have a baby..."

Jay nodded proudly, his chest puffing out. "Our baby."

Bella suddenly laughed, the happiness in her expression impossible to hide. She felt like her heart was about to burst with joy.

"I’m so happy for you!"

She hurried toward them and hugged Jay first, throwing her arms around him. Jay laughed and hugged her back, clearly delighted by her reaction.

"Congratulations!" she exclaimed, pulling back to look at him.

Then she hugged Jace as well, squeezing him tightly. "Congratulations, both of you!"

Jace smiled warmly, his eyes soft. "Thank you."

Jay looked ridiculously proud, his grin still firmly in place. "You’re going to be the coolest aunt."

Bella pulled back and immediately pointed at him. "Obviously."

Jay laughed, shaking his head. "Don’t argue. It’s already decided."

Eli, who had been watching them with increasing confusion, his small brow furrowed and his head tilted to the side, finally tugged at Bella’s clothes.

"Beautiful?"

Bella looked down, her smile still bright. "Yes?"

"Baby?"

Bella’s smile softened even more. "Yes, sweetheart. Uncle Jay and Uncle Jace are going to have a baby."

Eli’s eyes became enormous, round as saucers. "A smoll baby?"

Jay crouched down in front of him, bringing himself to the little boy’s level. "A very smoll baby."

Eli thought about this seriously, his little face scrunching up in concentration as he processed the information.

Then he looked at Jace. "Can I see?"

Everyone laughed at his words.

Jace smiled. "Eventually."

Eli nodded, apparently satisfied with that answer.

Then he looked at Jay again, his curiosity clearly not satisfied. "Will baby be really small?"

"Very small," Jay confirmed.

"Smaller than me?"

"Much smaller."

Eli immediately looked pleased, his small chest puffing out with pride. "Then I am big brother."

Jay blinked, clearly taken aback. "You’re already giving yourself a position?"

Eli nodded confidently, his little chin lifted with immense pride. "I am Big Champ."

Bella burst out laughing, the sound bright and carefree as she reached down and scooped him into her arms, settling him comfortably against her hip. "Yes, you are, Big Champ."

Eli giggled, wrapping his little arms around her neck. But after a moment, his attention drifted toward Leo, who was standing nearby with his arms folded, watching them with a quiet smile. Eli stared at him for a few seconds, almost as though he were thinking about something very important. Then his expression changed, and he suddenly called out in his tiny, clear voice, "Dad, come here!"

Leo froze.

Bella froze.

Even Jay and Jace exchanged startled looks.

For a moment, it felt as though the entire room had gone completely silent.
