Leo returns home, unexpectedly bringing a shy four-year-old boy named Eli with him. The family is shocked and confused, with Jay loudly speculating about the child being Leo's illegitimate son. Bella vehemently denies this, causing further confusion as Leo thanks her for her trust.

Jay’s expression immediately softened.

"Oh."

He looked at the others.

"He’s cute."

Bella couldn’t help smiling at the tiny boy. His hesitant wave and soft voice had already begun to melt her heart.

But her eyes soon returned to Leo.

There was still one enormous question sitting between them.

Leo seemed to understand exactly what everyone was thinking.

He gently placed a hand on Eli’s shoulder, making sure the little boy knew he was safe and looked around at his family. His gaze moved from one face to another, giving each person a moment to absorb what he was about to say.

"I didn’t bring him here to shock you."

His voice was calm.

"I brought him because I want all of you to meet him."

Bella’s heart began beating faster.

Leo glanced briefly at her.

There was something unusually gentle in his eyes. A softness that he rarely showed in front of others.

But he still didn’t explain.

Instead, he looked down at Eli.

The little boy had finally stepped slightly away from behind his leg, although one tiny hand was still holding onto Leo’s fingers. His grip had loosened just a little, as though he was slowly becoming more comfortable.

Bella watched them silently, she started having a little bit of an idea what Leo was planning...

Leo looked back at everyone.

"And before anyone asks..."

His eyes briefly landed on Jay with glare.

"...No. He’s not my biological son."

Jay exhaled in relief.

"Thank God."

Leo’s eyebrow lifted.

"But he’s someone very important."

.

Bella stared at him, and somehow, that answer made her heart beat even faster.

Leo took a slow breath, his fingers gently tightening around Eli’s small hand before he finally looked at everyone.

"I... actually want to adopt him."

For a moment, nobody moved.

Everyone was frozen in shock. No one was expecting such news.

Bella stared at Leo, her eyes wide, her lips parted.

Jay’s mouth slowly fell open.

Jason blinked repeatedly, as though he was trying to process what he had just heard.

Dominique looked between Leo and the little boy as if he was trying to make sense of everything at once. Even Jace, who was usually difficult to surprise, looked genuinely stunned.

Lina’s expression changed almost immediately.

"Leo!" she exclaimed, frowning deeply. "Have you even asked Bella if this is what she wants?"

Her voice wasn’t angry at Eli. It was protective of Bella, because she knew how complicated the subject of children had been for her.

The moment Lina’s voice became louder, Eli flinched.

His little shoulders stiffened, and he instinctively moved closer to Leo, his tiny fingers tightening around Leo’s hand. His wide eyes became glossy as he looked up at Leo, clearly frightened by all the unfamiliar voices around him.

Leo immediately noticed and his expression softened.

"Hey..."

He bent slightly toward him and gently placed a hand on his head.

"It’s okay. Nobody is angry with you."

Eli looked at him uncertainly, his small face searching Leo’s for reassurance.

Leo gave him a reassuring smile.

"You’re safe."

Bella’s heart squeezed at the sight.

She had been so shocked by Leo’s announcement that she hadn’t even known what to say but now all of her attention had shifted toward the little boy.

Eli looked so small standing there.

His dark hair was slightly messy, his cheeks were soft and round and his enormous eyes still carried a trace of nervousness. There was something strangely mature about the way he tried to compose himself despite being frightened, as though he was desperately trying not to cry in front of everyone.

Bella’s heart practically melted.

She slowly crouched down so she was closer to his height.

"Hi..."

Her voice was gentle, soft as a whisper.

Eli looked at her.

For several seconds, he simply stared.

His eyes moved curiously over her face, as though he was trying to decide whether she was someone he could trust. His small brow furrowed slightly and he tilted his head, studying her with an intensity that seemed almost too serious for a child his age.

Bella smiled.

"You don’t have to be scared."

Eli blinked.

Then, almost unbelievably, the little boy straightened his tiny shoulders.

He wiped the corner of his eye with the back of his hand, took a tiny breath and lifted his hand in a surprisingly confident little wave.

"Hi, beautiful~~"

Everyone looked at the little boy in shock.

Bella froze.

Jay’s jaw dropped.

Jason covered his mouth, his shoulders shaking with suppressed laughter.

Dominique turned away, clearly trying not to laugh.

Even Jace’s expression showed surprise.

And Leo...

Leo simply stared at Eli.

His eyebrows had risen slightly, as though even he hadn’t expected that introduction. A hint of amusement flickered in his gray eyes.

Bella’s cheeks slowly turned pink.

"Beautiful?"

Eli nodded seriously.

"Yes."

He looked at her as though it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"You are beautiful."

Bella pressed a hand over her mouth, desperately trying not to laugh.

"Oh my goodness..."

Jay immediately burst out laughing.

"THIS KID!"

Jason couldn’t hold himself back either.

"He’s four and already knows how to compliment women better than Jay!"

"Hey!" Jay protested, his face flushing.

Eli looked toward Jay.

Jay immediately pointed at him.

"Don’t learn anything from that man."

Eli looked confused, his small brow furrowing again.

Bella laughed softly, and the sound seemed to make the little boy relax. His shoulders dropped slightly, and the tension in his small face eased.

Leo watched the interaction quietly.

Something in his expression softened as he saw Bella smiling at Eli.

He had imagined this moment countless times, but seeing it actually happen was different. Much better than he had imagined.

Lina’s expression also softened.

She looked at Bella, then at Eli, and finally at Leo.

"Leo..." she said more gently this time.

Leo looked toward her.

"I didn’t make this decision suddenly." His voice was Deep and calm. "I’ve thought about it carefully."

Bella slowly stood, still looking at Eli.

Leo continued, "I know this isn’t something I can decide alone. Especially not when it affects Bella."

His gaze moved toward his wife.

"That’s why I wanted everyone here."

Bella stared at him.

Leo’s eyes softened.

"But ultimately, Bunny, the decision isn’t mine."

He reached down and gently squeezed Eli’s little hand.

"I can want to give him a home."

He looked at Bella.

"But I need to know whether you want him in ours."
