His innocent wife is a dangerous hacker. Chapter 895 Superhero

Eli stood quietly beside Leo, his tiny fingers still wrapped around Leo’s hand as he looked from one unfamiliar face to another. He didn’t completely understand what everyone was talking about, but he understood enough to know that something important was happening.
Earlier, Granny had told him that he was going to meet a family and if they liked him, perhaps they would take him home. She had explained it gently, telling him that some children were lucky enough to find a family who would love them and take care of them and Eli had listened with wide, curious eyes, not completely understanding what it meant to be chosen.
But he knew one thing very clearly.
He wanted a family.
He had wanted one for a long time.
His eyes became slightly misty as he looked at Bella, wondering whether she liked him. He didn’t know what she was thinking and the uncertainty made his little heart beat faster.
What if she didn’t want him? What if everyone smiled at him today and then sent him back? What if this was just another visit, another goodbye, another hope that would quietly fade away?
His fingers tightened around Leo’s hand.
Eli looked up at him again.
He liked this tall uncle very much.
From the first time they had met at the orphanage, Leo had seemed different from the other grown-ups. He was very tall and broad with a serious face that could look a little scary when he wasn’t smiling, but he had never made Eli feel frightened. He had spoken to him gently, waited when Eli was too shy to answer and even remembered the little things Eli had said.
To Eli, he looked like one of those superheroes from the cartoons he sometimes watched.
A very tall superhero.
A strong superhero.
The kind of superhero who could pick him up with one arm and protect him from every scary thing in the world.
Eli secretly looked at Leo again.
Then he quickly looked away when Leo glanced down at him.
His cheeks became slightly pink.
Eli thought about the way Leo had crouched down to speak to him earlier instead of forcing him to come forward. He remembered how Leo had held his hand when they walked through the garden and how he had told him that he didn’t need to be scared.
Nobody had ever made Eli feel quite so safe so quickly.
His little heart gave a hopeful flutter.
He looked up again, studying Leo’s face with innocent admiration.
Eli imagined himself growing as tall as Leo, wearing a nice suit and walking around looking serious, just like his favorite superhero. Maybe then he could protect someone too. Maybe then he could make someone feel as safe as Leo made him feel.
A tiny smile appeared on his lips.
But then his eyes drifted toward Bella again.
She was looking at him so gently that it made him feel comfortable. Her eyes were soft, her smile kind and there was something about her that made Eli feel like he didn’t need to be so afraid.
Eli didn’t know what would happen next.
He didn’t know whether this family would choose him.
But he secretly hoped that they would.
He squeezed Leo’s hand a little tighter.
Leo noticed immediately and looked down.
Eli quickly looked away, pretending he hadn’t done anything.
Leo’s lips curved into a small smile.
And that tiny smile was enough to make Eli’s heart feel a little less afraid.
Bella didn’t think about it for long. Whatever questions had been running through her mind seemed to disappear the moment she looked at Eli’s tiny, uncertain face. She slowly crouched down in front of him, bringing herself to his eye level and extended both her hands toward him with an inviting smile.
"Hi, Eli," she said softly. "My name is Isabella, but everyone calls me Bella. You can call me..."
She hesitated.
For some reason, the simple question suddenly felt much more important than it should have. Her eyes instinctively moved toward Leo, who was standing nearby and watching them with a quiet smile.
Before Bella could finish, Eli’s eyes brightened.
"Beautiful!" he announced happily. "I will call you beautiful!"
For a second, Bella simply stared at him.
Then a warm laugh escaped her.
"Beautiful?"
Eli nodded enthusiastically, apparently very pleased with his choice.
"Yes! Beautiful."
Bella’s smile grew as she looked at his adorable little face. There was something so innocent and sincere about him that it was impossible not to soften around him.
"Okay," she whispered, holding out her hands a little closer. "You can call me Beautiful."
Eli smiled.
Leo watched them quietly, and a small smile appeared on his own face.
He knew this wasn’t going to happen overnight.
Eli probably wouldn’t suddenly start calling them Mom and Dad simply because he had been introduced to them. Those words carried memories, attachment and emotions that a four-year-old couldn’t simply replace because a new family had entered his life. Leo didn’t want to force him, either.
He wanted Eli to decide those names for himself, whenever he was ready.
Because Leo had already learned everything he could about the little boy before bringing him here.
He had investigated his background carefully, wanting to understand exactly who Eli was and what he had been through.
His mother had passed away in an accident only a few months earlier.
She had been raising Eli almost entirely on her own, doing everything she could to keep him safe and give him a normal childhood despite the circumstances surrounding them. She had worked, cared for him, protected him and somehow managed to keep her little boy sheltered from the worst parts of their life.
His father had been abusive.
And for years, Eli’s mother had done everything she could to keep her son away from him and protect him from the man’s behavior.
She had been his entire world and then, suddenly, she was gone.
Leo’s jaw tightened slightly at the thought.
That was why he understood that bringing Eli into their family wasn’t simply about giving a child a room, clothes, toys, and a comfortable life.
It meant giving him time.
It meant allowing him to grieve.
It meant letting him trust them slowly.
It meant never making him feel that loving Bella or Leo somehow meant forgetting the mother who had loved him first.
Leo looked at the little boy again.
Eli was now holding one of Bella’s hands with both of his tiny ones, examining her fingers curiously before looking back at her face.
"Beautiful," he repeated softly, almost as if he was testing the name.
Bella smiled.
"Yes?"
"I like you."
Her expression softened immediately.
"I like you too, Eli."
The little boy’s eyes became brighter.
Leo watched them and something deep inside his heart eased.
