The protagonist narrowly avoids detection by Elder Muriel and then Elder Marveth, who is heading to the prison island. The protagonist follows Marveth, returning to the seashore outpost and then to the prison island itself. After incapacitating a guard and using his scroll to bypass security, the protagonist infiltrates the prison.

Prison Island

Elder Level Wizard Marveth was inside the prison cell. He didn’t go directly to the bottom of the prison cell to land. It was the territory of a crazy old woman.

He didn’t know what kind of tricks she had, and he didn’t want to be embarrassed as an Elder Level Wizard in front of the locked-up prisoners.

So, he decided to be careful. Next, he slowly descended. At the same time, he felt the presence of the imprisoned wizards.

Their conditions were terrible. As he descended further, he found the conditions were even worse. Suddenly, a few of them shouted in desperation.

Marveth raised his eyebrows before releasing a fraction of his elder-level mana. The elder-level mana struck those rude wizards.

Boom!

A few of them died on the spot. The elder-level mana took their lives right away.

The other wizards were grievously injured. Inside the prison cell, it was a nasty scene.

He then descended to the bottom and landed on the ground.

Elder Level Wizard Marveth found that there was no danger around the area. He sighed in relief. Next, he decided to inspect the prison cell.

Elder Level Wizard Muriel had given him the magic artifact. Now, he had to remove the restrictions on the prison cells and take the prisoners outside.

He walked up to the prison cell next to him. There was an old man locked up inside.

He was a Forbidden Wizard. Even if the old man tried to put up a fight, he wouldn’t be able to do anything.

The old Forbidden Wizard was already seriously injured. Marveth could easily take his life through coercion alone.

Marveth then took out the magic artifact given to him by Elder Muriel.

Boom!

He activated the mirror artifact by pouring elder-level mana into it. Then, he followed the process described by Elder Muriel to remove the restriction on the prison cell.

Meanwhile,

There was a series of brick buildings ahead. I was thinking about leaving right away and was just about to step out.

Buzz!

Right then, the system alerted me again with a series of notifications.

The next moment, I stepped back inside.

The wizards nearby were conducting their patrols. If I left right now, I would be spotted by them. So, I waited for the right opportunity.

Outside,

A group of Magic Lords was walking past the brick building. They were spreading their mental power across the area.

If there were anyone hiding inside the building, they would know immediately, so they didn’t have to check each room one by one.

Once they moved away from the area, I sneaked out and made my way toward the entrance of the underground prison cell.

Fortunately, there were no other wizards nearby, and they would not approach the entrance of the underground prison cell.

Swoosh!

In the blink of an eye, I reached the spot. I stood before the entrance of the well, looked around, and found no one there.

My gaze shifted to the entrance of the underground prison cell. In a flash, I appeared directly above it.

I looked at the situation down below; it was pitch black.

Swoosh!

The next second, I entered the underground prison cell. I could feel my body descending. I didn’t know where Elder Level Wizard Marveth was currently located.

I remained vigilant. Fortunately, the system had shielded my mana presence. No one could pinpoint my exact location right now.

At the same time, not all of the wizards locked inside the prison cells were asleep. Some strange wizards kept staring fixedly at the gate.

Their vision was sharp. They saw someone descending toward the ground, and the figure appeared to be male. They were taken aback.

Just moments earlier, they had seen someone descending from above as well, but that person was an Elder Level Wizard.

[Ding! Elder Level Wizard Marveth has been detected on the ground. He is inside one of the prison cells.]

I heard the system prompt in my mind, and my expression changed drastically.

The next second, I appeared inside Gregor Mansion.

At the same time, Elder Level Wizard Marveth was speaking to one of the prisoners. Just then, he felt something amiss.

Swoosh!

He exited the prison cell and looked toward the space above. He saw no one, but he felt a slight disturbance in the air current inside the prison.

That only happened when someone entered or exited the prison cell. A thought crossed his mind, and he spread his mental power across the tower.

In the blink of an eye, he discovered that all the underground prison cells were still locked. No one had sneaked out.

"Weird," Marveth muttered.

He then shook his head before returning inside to fetch the old man. The old man woke up and heard the orders from the wizard standing before him.

Despite being on the verge of death, the old man still had a trace of anger left. He was about to speak, but he suddenly sensed something that caused his expression to shift drastically.

He couldn’t believe the young-looking wizard in front of him was actually an Elder Level Wizard. He was already terrified of the crazy old woman.

Now that another powerhouse had appeared, his anger vanished. He decided to comply with the orders and walked out of the prison cell.

Marveth nodded and said, "Don’t try anything funny. Just follow me."

After saying that, he proceeded to the next underground prison cell. A middle-aged man in his forties was locked up inside.

The person was none other than Forbidden Wizard Erwin.

Erwin opened his eyes and looked toward the visitor. He saw someone standing outside and immediately noticed the black stripes running along the mage robes.

Erwin’s heart stirred. He realized another Elder Level powerhouse had arrived, but he wondered about his intentions.

Marveth opened the prison cell using the artifact. He then stepped inside and delivered the same instructions.

Meanwhile,

I reappeared outside, taking advantage of the moment Marveth stepped into the next prison cell. I continued descending.

I was getting closer to landing at the bottom.

Forbidden Wizard Erwin stood up. He knew that if he wanted to survive, he had to follow instructions.
