"Do you know how to get to the place?" I asked.

Head Roland said, "I have a map and the coordinates of the location. I will give them to you."

After saying that, Head Roland took out the map from the storage bracelet. The map was not an ordinary map, but a special map.

He handed the map over to me without saying anything. I was surprised. I guessed he knew only I could cure him.

He gave it to me without attaching any conditions. I accepted the map and unfolded it. Then I saw the size of the landmass, with accurate borderlines and marked areas.

My gaze passed over the sea territory. Then I saw over 40 resource sites. And a further 100 miles into the sea, there was a black dot. Above the black dot, it was marked as the Black Mists Forbidden Land with coordinates.

Seeing that, my eyes gleamed with a twinkle. I put the special map away inside the storage bracelet. Then I started asking about the Black Mists Forbidden Land and the reason for their visit to that island.

"We got reports coming in over recent months that unknown people had been visiting the Black Mists Island. So we went there to investigate, since we are the nation closest to them."

"If anything bad happens, it will affect us," he said.

"So, what did you guys find?" I asked.

"Just as I told you before. We didn’t even explore the outer area. The place was filled with corrupted mana. We were attacked by the corrupted mana. I should have been better prepared," Roland said.

"Then how come only three people were affected?" I asked.

The question dumbfounded Head Roland.

"I just don’t know. But they were alright. They were the ones who brought me and the other two back to the country. But the other two died without getting treatment."

"I have been suppressing the injuries with healing resources so far," Roland said to me.

Even saying that, Roland felt something was wrong. But he could not accuse others without any evidence, because those three were no ordinary people.

One of them was the Head of the Dusk Family, and the other two were main Elders from two other important wizard families.

On the other hand, I noticed Head Roland was still hiding something regarding those people. But I didn’t care about their internal struggles.

Since I had gotten the location, I would leave at midnight. Then I turned my attention toward his injuries.

Fortunately, I had been carrying a special healing potion with me all along. It was something I had bought to deal with emergency situations.

I had a couple of vials, but one of them was enough to treat him. In fact, Head Roland was not that severely affected. His mana core was safe.

Otherwise, he would have died like the others. I took one of the vials out and handed it over to Head Roland.

"It’s a special magic product made to cure mana corruption," I said to Head Roland.

Head Roland was shocked. He looked at the dense green liquid inside the vial and accepted it carefully.

He then looked at the masked man, shocked in his heart. He was right; the background of the young man was not ordinary.

And he had made the right decision to tell what he knew about the Black Mists Island. He didn’t care about the masked man’s motives.

All he wanted was to be cured right now.

"You can consume it," I said to him.

Hearing that, Head Roland opened the cork of the vial and consumed the green liquid in one go.

When the special healing energy entered his body, visible changes began to take place. Head Roland’s expression eased a lot. The black veins that were visible earlier had begun to recede.

Head Roland closed his eyes and fell asleep. Seeing that, I nodded and left the room.

Creak!

I closed the door before going to the hall. In the hall, all the members were waiting. Talia and her mother, Florence, were waiting as well.

When I reached the hall, everyone was looking toward me. They wanted to know the answer.

Talia and Florence stood up from their seats.

"I administered a special healing potion to him. It will take time for the potion to work," I said to them.

Gasp!

A low gasping sound occurred.

The family members were surprised. They didn’t expect the masked man to heal their family head.

Most of them were happy. Yet there were a few people who were unhappy about it, though they didn’t show it on their faces.

Talia and her mother were on cloud nine. They immediately wanted to go upstairs.

But I said, "Don’t go now. Give him an hour’s rest. And don’t let anyone inside."

After saying that, I went back to my room. The family members were shocked. They immediately went back to their rooms; they couldn’t wait to share the news with others.

There were spies among the servants as well. When the news reached them, they immediately shared it with their higher-ups.

It didn’t take long for the news to reach the other five families. The two families whose Elders were deceased were shocked. They knew about the recent events.

They had heard about Head Roland’s serious condition. His daughter had gone to the Magic City to get help. They had also heard that wizards from the neighbouring country had tried to attack her.

But they didn’t expect Talia to return with help.

They wished they had gone to the Magic City as well. They immediately sent their representatives with gifts to inquire about his health.

Meanwhile,

The Dusk Family and the other two wizard families were not happy. They had wanted the three wizard families to lose their strongest Magic Lords.

Each wizard family had more than one Magic Lord. One of them would become the family head, and the other would become the elder.

When the plan was formed to inspect the Black Mists Island, it was initially discussed to gather all the family heads as one team.

But the plan was changed later. The two wizard families had weakened after the death of their Magic Lords, but the Ironvale Family had survived.
