I spent half an hour looking at the objects inside the glass shelves. I recognized some items, but not all of them.

There were many strange items being sold here. From time to time, the staff looked at me. They were wondering whether I was going to buy anything.

But none of them came forward to disturb me. It showed that they might have felt pressure from me.

Next, I decided to use the system.

"System, check the items in the shop. I want to know whether anything is useful for me," I asked the system in my mind.

[Ding! Scanning the place...]

It took the system a couple of seconds to scan the whole magic shop. It immediately found the results.

[Ding! Two old maps of the outside territory are detected.]

I heard the system’s voice in my mind. I smiled and turned toward the staff. I walked up to them.

"I have been searching for an old territory map. I heard your shop got one," I said with a smile.

The female clerk broke into a smile. She thought the customer was going to buy something in the end. Earlier, she was afraid of the unknown, strong wizard.

But she was much more relaxed now. She immediately went to the shelves and stopped before a particular section.

She then took out the maps and checked them. They were real maps drawn by the original owner, but they were later sold to them.

The female staff member came back to the desk and said, "These are the original maps we got. There are two of them. They were sold to us by wandering wizards. But they were strong, powerful wizards. We also verified the authenticity of the maps."

After saying that, the staff member placed the maps on the desk.

My gaze fell on the maps. Both of them were made from old cloth. I used the system to check the authenticity again.

[Ding! The maps are real.]

I heard the system’s voice in my mind. I sighed in relief.

"How much are they?" I asked her.

"Each is priced at 10 Mid-Grade Mana Stones," the female staff member said.

Hearing that, I raised my eyebrows. The price was reasonable.

"Can you show me?" I asked the staff member.

The female staff member nodded and unfolded the maps. I saw the borderlines and markings. I could use the system to record the information.

I didn’t necessarily have to buy them. But still, I decided to support the shop. After paying the mid-grade mana stones, I purchased the maps.

I left the shop and came to the main street. My gaze swept across the crowds. There was still time left for the gathering. I continued to explore the place.

Time passed.

Then I returned to the empty alley on time. The Zero Puppet in the red form was waiting for me at the place.

Seeing that, I immediately started asking questions. The Zero Puppet began to brief me on the intel.

"It’s going to be a week-long festival connected to local legends. Many events take place during this time. One of them is going to be an auction."

"The auction is a two-day event. Tomorrow is going to be the last day of the auction. Rumor is that many powerful wizards from outside will visit the city for the auction," the Zero Puppet said.

The Zero Puppet stopped explaining. Market City was relatively safe. There was no news about the Magic Lords and the Forbidden Wizards.

The City Lord of this Market City was an old Supreme Wizard. After gaining some clarity in my thoughts, I thanked the Zero Puppet before putting it inside the system space.

Next, I waited for the wizard members to come. Lady Caitlin came first. Then Otto, Patrick, Hank, and the old man Rock came next.

They had come across interesting items in these two hours. They had bought some of them. They wanted to explore more.

I saw them and noticed they were all smiling. It looked like the city didn’t disappoint them.

"I’m going to participate in the auction tomorrow. Then I will leave in the evening. If you guys want to spend time alone until then, you can do that. Let’s gather here again tomorrow evening," I said to them.

Hearing that, Otto, Patrick, Hank, and old man Rock agreed. Lady Caitlin decided to spend time in the market again. She spent more time observing, but hadn’t bought anything so far.

Next, they agreed and left the place again. Then I came to the main street and resumed exploring. The city was huge. Everyone had come out of their homes.

Now this stretch of road led to the City Lord’s office. Many magic shops were running on both sides of the street. It caught my attention. I was going to explore them.

In the middle of the city, there was a huge auction house building. The auction house successfully conducted its first auction today. It ended a few minutes earlier.

Now they have started to make the arrangements for tomorrow. It was because tomorrow was the main event. They were going to auction important magic items.

So many powerful wizards could come tomorrow. They had to be ready. Among the items, there were things bought from the Magic City that were being auctioned here as well.

There were some items that could be bought in the Magic City easily. But not all of the Wizards had a legit identity to enter the city. So they would find such an auction helpful.

But the prices would be higher than the original prices. Each year, the auction ran successfully during the festival. They had one successful day. They were hoping to have another tomorrow.

There were also people walking by the building to gather information. Information could be bought and sold by the people here.

If these people could get information on the auction items, then their information could help the buyers.

Unfortunately, their attempts were going to fail. The auction house had employed a Magic Lord for their protection. These people were mostly at Level-8 and Level-9. They were not going to succeed.
