Inside the system space, Magic Lord Duncan lost his composure. He didn’t know who the young man was. Why was his magic spell attack so powerful?

He found out that the magic rule power was not as strong as that of Magic Lords and Forbidden Wizards. But it was not the time for that. He realized that he might not be able to leave the place.

Duncan gathered his remaining strength and cast a magic spell attack.

"Drain!"

A black magic circle appeared in midair. The next second, a powerful spell attack shot out towards the young man.

Boom!

Caitlin stepped in. A golden brush shot towards the incoming attack.

In the blink of an eye, the golden brush came in contact with the black mist and completely stopped it from advancing.

It sent out shockwaves. But since the system space was never-ending, the shock force continued to travel.

At the same time, the golden brush shone with golden light. It destroyed the black mist’s power.

The black mist’s power completely disintegrated into thin air. The golden brush didn’t stop; it rushed towards Duncan.

It appeared before him in a flash and struck his head.

Boom!

Duncan was knocked unconscious on the spot. His body fell to the ground.

The next second, the golden brush returned to Lady Caitlin.

A hint of surprise appeared in my eyes. I had assumed she had limited options when it came to attack, but her golden brush was able to knock him out.

"What do you want me to do next?" Caitlin asked.

"If he wakes up, collect intel from him. Extract as much information as possible. Ask if the Black Tower found out anything about the organization threatening the Mage Union," I ordered.

Caitlin nodded her head.

Next, I appeared outside. There was no one in the corridor. I went to the storeroom to check. I saw the Zero Puppet in red smoke form already waiting for me.

I brought the Zero Puppet to the Gregor Mansion. Then, we went to the control room to discuss the findings.

In the control room, the Zero Puppet reverted to its original black steel knight form.

"Master, I have recorded everything." After saying that, it presented the recording stone.

I received the recording stone and put it away inside the system space. The item was stored among the rest of the artifacts.

But I was worried about the next step. Should I kill the doctors and assistants here? Then I shook my head. I had wanted to get rid of the shady establishment at first.

Yet, I had to change my decision after learning the truth from Magic Lord Duncan. The Elder-level Powerhouses of the Black Tower were getting cuts from the business.

They would definitely investigate the matter if the business was destroyed. I was not ready to face the challenges of the Forbidden Wizards yet.

The Elder-level Powerhouses were above that level. If Duncan went missing, it could be pinned on something else. But I should not dismantle the shady business in this city.

I didn’t expect the Elder-level Powerhouses to be involved in the business. Since they were getting resources for free, they must have turned a blind eye to everything.

Then I collected my thoughts and told the Zero Puppet to wait for me there.

Next, I appeared back outside in the store. I walked out of the store and started walking down the corridor. I came across the staff and other people.

The staff were discussing Magic Lord Duncan. They were discussing where he was right now.

I shook my head before heading towards the exit.

A few minutes later,

I exited the hospital and appeared on the main road. It appeared my purpose for coming to Darkmoon City was over.

Then I recalled the words of Manager Lara. Elder Dana wanted me to change strategy. She didn’t want me here.

So nobody should know about my activities here. I decided to leave right away. I found a cab driver and asked him to take me to the city gate.

Magic Lords Boris, Lars, and Sergei had come to a conclusion after discussing with the others. They had decided to target the business first.

"If we want to take control of the city, then we have to target the powerful wizards first," Boris said.

"We should find their establishments first. Do you know their hideouts?" Sergei asked the Senior Wizard.

"I only know of one place so far. It’s the hospital run by Magic Lord Duncan. They trade in organs," the Senior Wizard replied.

"Then let’s target the hospital first. If we neutralize the powerful wizards guarding the place, then we can take care of the family and the City Lord later," Lars stated, voicing his opinion.

Hearing that, the others agreed immediately. The Senior Wizard nodded his head. However, other members, including Amaira, were present.

They were worried about the mission. The three Magic Lords made it sound simple, but she knew the truth. Even Rockwell City had made it difficult for them to complete a mission.

It would be ten times more difficult in Darkmoon City. Amaira turned towards the Senior Wizard, but the senior member was simply nodding along with them.

She didn’t know what had happened to the Senior.

"Okay. Take your team to the hospital. Infiltrate it and kill all the Supreme Wizards there first. Then, we will follow behind," Boris said.

Hearing that, the Senior Wizard nodded his head. He ordered the team members to follow him. Next, they exited the hideout.

None of their expressions looked good. They hadn’t discussed it inside, but after leaving the hideout, they came to another isolated spot.

The Supreme Wizard saw the questions on everyone’s faces.

He stopped moving and turned towards the others.

"If you guys want to ask me anything, then ask," he said.

Hearing that, Amaira stepped forward and said, "Senior, it’s not easy to target the hospital there. What if they have a hidden Magic Lord or some trap?"

"It’s not a secret anymore that we appeared in Rockwell City. Security could be tightened here," Amaira added.

"I know. But we don’t have a choice. If I don’t agree, then they will suggest something even crazier," the Senior Wizard replied.
