Gravity Mage with Level-Up System Chapter 2070: Part 2: Magic Lord Caitlin (New Member)

I asked the system in my mind whether I could use the Red Scroll to control the Magic Lord.
[Ding! The Red Scroll Artifact is not repaired. Either the host repairs the Damaged Artifact or reaches the Supreme Limit.]
I heard the system’s answer in my mind. I was disappointed, but I already knew the answer beforehand. It was not easy to control a Magic Lord while being a Supreme Wizard.
Old Man Rock was an exception because he was injured, so the Red Scroll Artifact was able to control him.
At the same time, the old woman Caitlin made a firm decision.
"I have decided to join your team. What do you need?" she asked.
Hearing that, I collected my thoughts and looked toward her.
"I need absolute loyalty," I uttered.
Hearing that, she was taken aback. Hank, Patrick, and Otto heard it as well. They had almost forgotten about the crimson chains binding their mana cores.
All three of their faces turned serious. They had been with the Master for a while, but they had forgotten one thing about his character: he could be kind, but also cruel.
The old woman Caitlin fell silent.
I looked toward the old woman. I didn’t want to take her in without subduing her. The others were already bound by the crimson chain.
The thought of betrayal alone would torment them with pain. That was why I was taking them inside the Gregor Mansion.
Both the system and the Gregor Mansion were closely guarded secrets of mine. Because of them, I was able to go anywhere and survive.
Only the Sky Crocodile was not under my control, but it was still inside the Gregor Mansion. I rarely let it roam outside.
If I found an opportunity in the future, I would subdue it as well. Then there would be no loopholes. My safety was my first priority.
"I am ready to offer it. What should I do?" she said.
Hearing that, I nodded my head and said, "When the time comes, I will tell you."
"You can take back all your belongings now," I added.
"There is no need for that. I packed everything and stored it in my bracelet before coming here," Caitlin said.
Hearing that, I pulled out another chair for her and asked her to sit. The team members were all excited about the new recruit.
A Magic Lord had joined their team; their group had now grown much stronger.
"Then welcome, Lady Caitlin, to our team. Let me introduce our members." After saying that, I began to introduce one member after another to her.
Meanwhile, Market Leader Katie returned to her office. She hurriedly picked up the communication device and contacted the elders.
When the call connected, she hurriedly said, "Elders, I have collected the background information."
There were other elders on the same call. A senior elder who had lost his cool previously spoke up.
"Who is he?"
"He killed people from our market!" the elder said, raising his voice again.
The other elders, however, were calm and collected. They were waiting to hear her side of the story.
Katie took a deep breath and said, "The masked man and his people are actually employees of an appraisal shop. The masked man himself is an appraiser."
"Well, it doesn’t sound that impressive," the elder scoffed.
This time, the wise female elder asked, "Katie, is there anything more?"
"Yes, Elder. The identity of the appraisal shop owner is not simple. His name is Vincent Carey. He is a Supreme Wizard of the Silver Tower, one of the Magic Towers of the Magic Union," Katie replied in one breath.
Gasp!
There were audible gasps from the elders’ side. Even they hadn’t expected such a turn of events.
The wise female elder was alarmed.
She said, "Old man, you almost got us killed. Call back the elder who was watching one of their members."
"Yes, Elder," Katie replied.
Silence filled the call. They didn’t know whether their actions had already offended the other side. If the Silver Tower came knocking on their door, everyone would be killed.
"Are you telling the truth?"
"If there is any falsehood in the information, you will be punished," the rude elder warned after a moment.
"I asked them the same question, but the masked man told us to investigate their whereabouts in the surrounding cities."
"Not only that, he also recruited Elder Caitlin to his side," she added.
Her words once again shocked the elders.
"Katie, call back the elder immediately. Then take one of the treasures from the inventory and offer it as an apology," the wise female elder ordered.
"What?"
"The treasury items were collected over centuries! They can’t be found outside easily," the rude elder protested.
"Are you going to argue this time as well?" the wise female elder snapped.
This time, the other elders supported the wise elder. They didn’t want wizards from the Silver Tower coming here.
If it were ordinary wizard families, they could manage something using their connections. But offending the Silver Tower was a completely different matter. No wizard family would come to their support.
Finally, the rude elder fell quiet.
Katie asked, "What if he doesn’t like the treasure?"
Hearing that, everyone quieted down again.
"It’s already a great apology gift. If he doesn’t like it, then we will discuss it again," the rude elder said.
"Katie, don’t overthink it. Every item in the treasury is a rare magical treasure. It could even tempt a Forbidden Wizard."
"Remember, the gift is not for the masked man. It is for the Supreme Wizard behind him," the wise female elder said.
Hearing that, the other elders voiced their agreement.
"Okay," Katie replied before ending the call.
She then contacted the elder who was trailing the Magic Lord from the masked man’s group and ordered him to stop following.
When he asked for the reason, she revealed their background. The elder was scared out of his wits.
Not wanting to offend such people, he immediately left the area. The departure of the trailing elder was felt by Old Man Rock, but he didn’t pay it any mind.
He remembered that Master Vincent had asked them to gather under the tree in the evening, so he decided to head back now.
