The red smoke entered the body of the old man and exited from his back. The red smoke didn’t wait any longer. It reached the second target and did the same.

The first old man’s internals and mana core corroded in a flash. The Zero Puppet possessed two types of vicious magic energy. It could corrode anything.

The next second, the old man began bleeding from all orifices. The old man was terrified to the core. The next thing he knew, his consciousness was gone.

He dropped dead on the ground. The same thing happened with the second old man. He began bleeding from his nose and ears.

Thud!

It didn’t take long for the third and fourth to fall down to the ground.

Right then, Market Leader Katie made her appearance. She then turned toward the masked man. Her face filled with pure shock.

It was because she was a Supreme Wizard herself. She confirmed the fact that the masked man was a Supreme Wizard as well.

Yet the speed of the masked man was greater than hers. She didn’t know when he had appeared and killed all these people.

The Zero Puppet in red smoke form was not visible to others. It quietly came to its master’s side. Even Hank, who was on the ground, was shocked.

He saw the first one killed by a beam attack, but he didn’t know what happened to the other four old men. They were dead on the ground before he could figure it out.

Hank was amazed. He had rarely seen Master Vincent make a move. But when he did, no one lived to tell the tale. He stood up and walked up to the Master.

On the other side, Market Leader Katie came to see the masked man. She wanted to know what happened. Four people had died. It was clearly a violation of their market rules.

"Master, you appeared at the right time to save me," Hank said in a serious tone.

Hearing that, I used the system to check Hank’s condition. The system results said that Hank was fine.

"What happened?" I asked him.

"It’s the same for me. Care to tell me what happened here?"

"You have killed four stall owners here. They were all Supreme Wizards with backgrounds," Katie said in a serious tone.

"It’s not four. It’s five," Hank said from the side.

"What five?" Katie uttered in shock.

Hearing that, my mouth twitched. I stared at Hank. Katie looked toward Hank as well.

Feeling both of their gazes, Hank began to tell what happened to him.

"I came across an old map. It had some information useful to my magic. So, I bought the map for 50 mid-grade mana stones."

"But the shop owner found out the map was useful to me. He wanted the map and information back. I showed him the strength of a Supreme Wizard, but he called his friends."

"Eventually, the situation led to a fight. They dragged me out of the market to attack me. Unfortunately, my magic power is non-combatant. The old wizard bound me with his magic wire."

"Fortunately, Master, you made a timely appearance. Otherwise, the old man would have used a deadly spell on me," Hank said in a serious tone.

Hearing that, Katie’s face changed. She knew about the notorious gang of old men. They rarely let an opportunity slip by. They had committed evil crimes before.

But it had all been done outside the market territory, so she didn’t care about it. This time, the gang of old men hit an iron plate. Their fate was sealed.

"You guys have caused me trouble. The higher-ups won’t like troublemakers. You guys have already killed them. The other stall owners clearly witnessed it," Katie said.

Hearing that, I looked ahead and saw the stall owners peeking from their stalls. When they saw me, they were terrified and ducked their heads away.

"Are you going to drive us out of the market now?" I asked.

"Yes, it’s the rule. I can’t break it," Katie said.

Hearing that, I nodded my head and said, "Then I don’t want to cause trouble for you. We are leaving. But my other members will leave in the evening."

To that, she agreed. Then I left the place with Hank. We had to walk around before reaching the big shade tree. We could have used our flight ability or full speed.

But I decided to take a normal walk on the ground.

On the other hand, Katie watched their retreating backs. She furrowed her eyebrows and rubbed her forehead with a headache.

As per the rules, she couldn’t let them go. She had to arrest them. But she was afraid of the masked man. She didn’t know how he had killed five of them.

Especially since one of the men’s corpses was nowhere to be seen. She left the place to inform her higher-ups. The identities of the deceased old men were not simple either.

She thought the higher-ups must know about it. They were the ones who allowed the old men to set up shop here.

10 minutes later,

We arrived in front of the big old tree. The branches were providing good shade. It didn’t matter for wizards, but the vibe was good.

I took the chairs from the Gregor Mansion and placed them outside. I sat down on a chair and asked Hank to sit.

Hank had a nervous expression on his face. He was wondering whether the five old men had any troublesome background.

The Zero Puppet in red smoke form was around me, but it didn’t make a full appearance.

I saw through Hank’s thoughts.

"Are you afraid the old men could have backgrounds?" I asked.

Hank was taken aback. He didn’t expect the Master to see through his thoughts. He didn’t hide it and said, "When I told the stall owner about my Supreme Wizard strength, he said he was not afraid of me or my background."

"I’m sure his background is not the market here," Hank added.

Hearing that, I raised my eyebrows. A smile appeared on my face.

"Let’s see who else is coming. It’s been some time since I used my magic power," I said to him.
