The group arrived near the wizard market, parking their aircraft a mile away. After confirming no immediate threats, they approached the bustling marketplace filled with high-level wizards. The leader, Katie, a Supreme Wizard, intercepted them, initially wary of their powerful group, but allowed them entry after the masked protagonist asserted their intention to explore. Katie found the protagonist's mask strangely familiar.

General Wizard Market

I took the members and started exploring the place. We were walking at a slow pace. I came across the first few stalls. They were exhibiting magic plants. I decided to walk over.

Then I noticed Patrick paused. His magic was related to vitality-sucking vines. My gaze drifted to the others.

I said, "If you guys find anything useful, you can tell me. I will pay for it. There is no need to follow me anymore. We can gather outside the market."

"Remember the big native tree. We can gather under the nearest one later in the evening," I added.

The members were all happy, and everyone agreed.

I turned towards Patrick and said, "Patrick, it’s the same for you."

Hearing that, Patrick nodded his head. I knew his magic was vitality-sucking vines. The members began to look around.

In the blink of an eye, everyone split off in different directions to explore the market. I thought I was controlling them too much. They were also obeying without a second thought.

I knew it was not because of the crimson scroll artifact. Because if they showed even the slightest disobedience, I would know.

The crimson artifact hadn’t reacted in a long time. It showed that everyone was willingly obeying the command.

My strength had grown further ever since I acquired the artifact. I could control one more wizard.

But this time, I wanted to subdue a Magic Lord. The enemies were getting stronger. I needed a strong team as well.

After gaining some clarity, I turned around and started exploring the market by myself. There were stalls displaying a series of plant exhibitions.

At first, I thought they were ordinary magic plants. But then I overheard a conversation between some people. I paused and turned towards the stall.

I wanted to know whether the information was true or not, so I checked the magic plants using the system. The information appeared on the status panel.

I began to go through the information. Next, my gaze paused on one particular piece of information. A plant with blue-colored leaves drew my attention.

As per system information, the fruit borne by this plant helps a bloodline wizard circulate their blood faster in their system.

I immediately thought of Old Man Rock. Old Man Rock was a bloodline wizard, but his body was filled with old injuries.

If there was anything available to treat him, I would buy it. But I didn’t have a place to grow the blue magic plant. Then I checked the other information.

They were useful magic plants, but they weren’t suitable for the current situation. Next, I moved away from the place and began to explore other stalls.

On the other hand, the members were doing the same. Otto was not checking out the stalls. Instead, he was overhearing interesting conversations from the people around him.

He heard someone discussing Rockwell City. He then heard about the city-wide search. Otto was shocked.

He thought that by following the person, he could learn more information, so he went after him.

Similarly,

Patrick was exploring the market, specifically checking out the stalls with Magic Plants. He intended to buy something that could be useful for his magic power.

His magic power was already formidable to begin with. If he could make it better, he could fight alongside his Master. He, too, felt that the members were feeling helpless.

Their Master’s enemies were getting stronger, while they were helplessly reduced to collecting information. Only Old Man Rock was left behind to act as a credible deterrent.

So he was keen to find something useful in the general market.

Meanwhile, Hank was going from stall to stall like a curious cat.

He was the youngest among the members, but he was older than his master. His magic was rare, but it was barely helpful when it came to intel gathering.

He could only investigate things related to the land or terrain. So his motive was to find something in the market to make himself more useful.

At the same time, Old Man Rock had his own goal. He, too, felt his own limitations during battle. He could handle small fights, and he could deter small-time wizards.

But the situation changed when he faced a real Magic Lord powerhouse. A true Magic Lord expert could defeat him with ease. At first, he thought of tagging along with the young wizard Vincent for some time.

Yet over time, he started feeling like part of the team as well. So he wanted to genuinely heal his injuries so that he could fight alongside Young Wizard Vincent.

Meanwhile,

Supreme Wizard Katie was in her office. It was just another tent, but it was bigger in size. She took her device and reported the matter to her higher-ups.

She didn’t think the new visitors were troublemakers, but it was her job to report. When the higher-ups heard the news, their immediate response was not to offend anyone.

They thought the group of wizards could be from nearby big cities. Some of the big cities were under the control of the magic towers.

Katie was not naive. She knew about the surrounding cities as well. To be honest, there was some understanding between the higher-ups and the city lords of the surrounding cities.

They would not interfere with each other’s business. She thought it was entirely possible that they were from wizard families in the nearby cities.

But neither she nor the higher-ups had the slightest clue that the visitors had a much greater background. If they knew their real identity, they would be shocked to the core.

The higher-ups then told her to monitor the movements of the visitors without alerting them, thinking that the visitors could have been sent by the wizard families to collect information.

So many things were happening outside. The higher-ups were aware of the situation outside as well. They didn’t want outsiders dragging problems into their peaceful market.

Otherwise, the livelihood of the people here would be greatly affected here.
