Holden Barrett learns that the Silver Tower factions are in turmoil due to potential movements from the White Silver Faction and seeks information on Supreme Wizard Vincent Carey. Meanwhile, Elder Dana, Forbidden Wizards Charlotte and Erwin, and Supreme Wizard Hellen meet to discuss a serious problem related to the Covenant, confirmed by Vincent Carey. They debate how to present this information, especially concerning the enemy's Puppet Magic expertise and the potential danger to Vincent and his appraisal team, who were present during the attack on Rockwell City.

Meeting

Elder Dana then turned toward Hellen. There was a reason why she had been summoned here.

"Hellen, I want you to gather what the Dark Silver Faction and Neutral Factions are up to. I don’t want them to steal credit. All the evidence collected by Vincent Carey should be in our hands," Elder Dana said.

Hellen sighed inwardly. She had thought it was some big issue.

"Don’t worry, Elder. I’ll find out their intentions," Hellen replied.

Dana then turned toward Charlotte and said, "From the intel gathered so far, I can tell that the enemy has a strong force. So far, they have only sent Supreme Wizards. I think it won’t be long before they send Magic Lords and Forbidden Wizards."

"If that happens, Vincent Carey and his men won’t be able to handle it. I think it’s time for him to change his strategy. Tell him and his men to do something else."

"Neither the Elemental Magic Towers nor the Covenant will stay silent. He could face an attack from them," Elder Dana said to her.

Charlotte agreed. She, too, felt things were going in a dangerous direction.

Elder Dana next turned to Erwin. Everyone had received their task. Now, it was time for Erwin.

Dana said, "My friends and I have found a suspicious place. But the place is very close to the Black Mists Forbidden Land. I want you to investigate it."

"Black Mists Forbidden Land?" Charlotte uttered in shock.

Even Hellen’s face changed drastically. It was one of the deadliest forbidden lands a no go zone for Magic Lords and Forbidden Wizards, let alone Supreme Wizards.

Supreme Wizards would die long before reaching the boundary.

"I know it’s dangerous, but it’s up to you. If my assumption is right, it could be an important place for the Covenant. If we get more solid evidence, then I will directly contact the elders in the Mage Union," Elder Dana said.

"I will go," Erwin said the next moment.

"I’m ready to accompany him as well," Charlotte said.

"No, I have got other plans for you. I will tell you later," Elder Dana said strictly.

Hearing that, Charlotte didn’t know what else to say. The meeting ended a few minutes later.

...

Outside Territory.

The Raven Aircraft was cruising through the sky. So far, no trouble had come. The path below was filled with small forests and barren lands. No infrastructure was in sight.

In the cockpit, I was once again reviewing the map. The map had all the details, and I checked whether there was any place to stop by. I didn’t like the week long journey.

Not even a day had passed, and I was forced to change my opinion. Then I saw a small dot on the map. The place could be reached a day later. It was called the Wizard Market.

It brought back memories of when I sent the Zero puppet to explore that chaotic land’s market during previous mission. I didn’t expect to find a similar one here.

Then I shared my thoughts with the members. Everyone agreed to visit the market; they were already feeling bored.

Then I changed our course to the market area on the map. I set the speed to steady mode toward the destination and put the flight on autopilot.

Swoosh!

After doing that, I entered the system space. Then I brought the Zero puppet in its red smoke form outside and ordered it to protect the aircraft and the members.

Then I appeared inside the mansion and went to bed to sleep.

...

Meanwhile, in Rockwell City, unknown people were appearing in groups. The locals were terrified because these unknown people were strong wizards.

Their mana pressure alone scared half the population away. They didn’t know what City Lord Robert was doing while these strangers searched every nook and cranny of the city.

They weren’t sparing the remote areas either. It was clear that these people were looking for someone.

At the city gate, City Guard Captain Roger was in bad shape. His face and body were bruised, and he didn’t look good. He had been attacked by the new wave of visitors.

He had already been disrespected and attacked by the masked man and his group earlier. With City Lord Robert injured, Rockwell City was currently without protection.

In this situation, being attacked by the new wave of visitors, he couldn’t afford to show an arrogant attitude anymore. Every visitor had connections with the Magic City.

They left him alive only because he held the post of City Guard Captain. If he were killed, it would cause even more disturbance.

On the other hand, the groups of wizards were indeed from different Magic Towers. Ever since the news of Vincent Carey’s appraisal team’s activities became known, everyone assumed Vincent Carey must have gathered crucial information.

The Magic Towers had sent people to gather intel, but their efforts had failed.

Earlier, there were rumors that Vincent’s men had left the city. Despite that news, they still sent people to Rockwell City because they suspected it could be false news.

Yet the groups of wizards couldn’t find any trace of Vincent’s men. This wasn’t just true for one Magic Tower; it was the case for the other Magic Towers as well.

They had sent people after genius wizards like Vincent Carey, Holden Barrett, and others. If they could find even a small clue, it would be helpful to their Magic Towers.

If they wanted to, they could have sent Magic Lords and Forbidden Wizards. But those high-level mages had more important work to do, so only Supreme Wizards were sent after them.

Even this was considered a violation. The Mage Union had already released a statement declaring that no internal fights were allowed.

Despite that, the Magic Towers were still using such tactics, including the Silver Tower.

The news about Rockwell City had reached surrounding cities as well, especially Blue Heart City and Iron Bell City.

In Blue Heart City, City Lord Elena was glad that Appraiser Frank and the others didn’t stay in her city for long. Otherwise, she worried that her city would have come under attack just like Rockwell City.
