That evening, the members and I were gathered in the living room. The members had come earlier, but I didn’t ask about the auction matter at that time.

Otto, Patrick, Hank, and Old Man Rock were sitting on the sofa. I was sitting opposite them.

"How did it go?" I asked.

"Master, the manager agreed to hold the event. We can start the event tomorrow morning," Otto said with a smile.

A hint of relief appeared in my eyes. Then I could start the work tomorrow.

"The manager had heard about our Crystal City shop. She knew about Supreme Wizard Vincent as well," Patrick said.

I nodded to him. My gaze then fell on Hank and Old Man Rock.

"Did you guys find anything else?"

"Hank, you can use your magic to scan the terrain. Did you find anything abnormal in the terrain?" I said.

Hank was taken aback. He was the youngest among them, but he was still old. He didn’t expect the Master to ask him questions.

"The city is big. I have used magic powers in a few places, but found nothing else. Shall I go at night to investigate?" Hank asked.

"If you want, I can accompany him as well," Old Man Rock raised the point.

Patrick and Otto looked at each other. It was the first time the Master had asked such questions. It meant something was bothering him.

"I want you guys to stay here. Do not leave the hotel at night. We have important work tomorrow," I said to them.

Hearing that, everyone agreed. They understood that the Master was thinking about the event tomorrow.

I spoke to them about a few other things before leaving the place. I went back to my room. In the room, I sat down on the sofa.

Next, I began to think about the plan. I didn’t know what the eight wizards were doing right now. I was hoping they would attend the event tomorrow.

Then I would get more information. My attention then shifted to Zero Puppet. I had sent the puppet to collect information about the killer. I didn’t know whether it had found anything yet.

As per the news, the murder took place last night. I was sure Zero Puppet would track the killer tonight.

Time passed.

Captain Roger appeared once again in the night. He knew about the factories and other businesses run by the wizard families.

He killed the workers of the family that had caused distress to him a long time ago. Because of his position, he hadn’t been able to do anything back then.

Yesterday’s attack was a bonus for him. He got his revenge and successfully shifted the blame onto the visitor.

Right now, he was going to a similar factory again. It was a small factory responsible for building infrastructure.

The workers there used their magic to create special hardened steel that could withstand damage.

The old man appeared without warning. Actually, most of the locals recognized the City Guard Captain.

So when he appeared, the workers there stopped working. They were confused about why the Captain was there. They paused their work and looked toward him.

Roger scanned everyone. There was one more reason why he was there: there were no cameras or other detection gadgets. It was a small workshop.

There were five people present in the shop. Everyone had a look of confusion on their faces.

One of them stepped forward and asked, "Captain, what brings you here?"

Roger didn’t reply. He confirmed there were no other people in the room. Next, a wide grin cracked across his face.

At that, the person who asked the question was surprised. He felt the captain’s smile meant ill. They were mid-level wizards.

Their strength varied from level-5 to level-7. The other four members stood up as well; they too felt something was not right.

Boom!

Captain Roger released his coercion. Supreme-level pressure bore down on the bodies of all five of them.

Puchak!

The next second, all five of them were knocked backward before slamming onto the ground. Blood spurted from their mouths.

As the seconds followed, their bodies began to crush under the pressure. They could not lift a finger. Their eyes were filled with terror.

Under the terrifying pressure, their internal organs were crushed, followed by their bones and mana cores.

Even their mana cores could not explode; they were totally suppressed by the pressure from the Supreme Wizard.

All five of them were lying dead on the ground. Their bodies were crushed, looking like paste.

After killing them, Captain Roger scanned the place again. He didn’t want to leave behind any traces. That was why he had used coercion.

Next, he began to write the same name on the ground:

Earlier, he was a bit disappointed. The city officials hadn’t found the visitors. If they had found the visitors, the media would have gotten footage, and then everyone would have known the masked man was among them.

Unfortunately, City Lord Robert had watched from the sidelines. But Roger thought tomorrow things would change; the media would definitely raise the alarm.

Captain Roger left the mark before leaving the workshop.

Time passed...

The city was running as usual during the night. The citizens didn’t know about the murder yet.

Meanwhile,

Amaira had already started influencing people to commit crimes, though they hadn’t resorted to killing yet. They were just looting small businesses and stores.

She had a huge plan in mind, having gained inspiration after watching the acts of the City Guard Captain.

But she didn’t decide to act right away. Her team members were carrying out their activities as well. If things didn’t go as planned, she would do something about it.

On the other hand, the other Supreme Wizards from the covenant were committing evil acts. They had started killing people and disposing of their bodies immediately.

They didn’t even share their wrongdoings with other members. Unlike Amaira, they were looting wealth as well. For these wizards, mana stones represented immense wealth.

They were taking away all the hidden wealth in the stores.
