In the hotel, I’m watching the news. The zero puppet in red smoke form appeared in the room again.

Seeing that, I lowered the volume. I turned towards the puppet.

I asked, "What happened?"

Hearing that, the zero puppet returned to its original form and began to explain everything.

At first, my expression remained the same. But when I heard that the Supreme Wizard from the Water Element Tower didn’t want to confront me, I smiled.

She is thinking like me. Both the towers are rivals. It’s good that we don’t cross paths with each other.

Especially during this situation. Then I heard from the puppet that both the city lord and the magic tower wizard failed to find the clue.

But they suspect that the robbery could be related to an unknown evil force. I nodded my head while listening to the zero puppet.

I had suspected the same thing. But it appears the culprit had left the city already. Even the zero puppet didn’t find them.

But the next words of the zero puppet surprised me. The Magic Tower wizard is staying in the same hotel as me.

She planned to stay here for a few days. Hearing that, my mouth twitched. It appears she didn’t know that I’m here.

I shook my head before saying, "We will leave the city tomorrow."

Then I thought of another thing. I could use the zero puppet to spy on the magic tower wizard. Then I dismissed the idea again.

It’s not that important to invade the privacy of someone. I put the zero puppet inside the Gregor Mansion.

Night time,

I left the room and decided to eat at some restaurant. The members had already eaten their food.

Just as I was about to leave the hotel, I came across someone. The person was none other than Supreme Wizard Rebecca.

Earlier, I saw her on the news channel, so I recognized her easily.

I was about to walk past her, but she saw me. She was with her guards. It appears she is going outside as well.

I nodded to her before leaving through the exit door.

Rebecca was confused. But she asked the admin staff and learned that the masked man was none other than Appraiser Frank.

"So he is Appraiser Frank," Rebecca said to herself.

She was surprised. She didn’t expect he was staying in the same hotel as well. She then ignored him.

She decided not to have any interaction.

Time passed.

I found a restaurant and went inside the shop. I sat at an empty table. The staff came to take the order. Then I ordered their main dish.

While waiting for the order, I began listening to the conversation of the customers in the room. The topic was mixed.

Not many were discussing the magic store robbery. Apart from the news channel, the locals were not that worried.

But they were discussing the Magic Tower Wizard. It appears that the wizard named Rebecca has strong family support behind her.

Then I heard something which piqued my interest.

"Hey, why does the Flynn Family Estate look deserted?"

"It appears some incident took place in their family."

"No one is allowed to go inside. Even the city officials are keeping the news secret."

I heard the conversations. I immediately thought of the Flynn name on the tombstone. Then I realized I didn’t send the zero puppet to investigate the matter earlier.

I had made a decision to ignore it during that time. Now that I’m getting bored, I decided to check the Flynn Family after leaving the shop.

The staff came to serve the food. I thanked the staff before eating.

20 minutes later,

After having the food, I left the shop. Then I approached a cab driver. I asked about the Flynn Family Estate.

The driver was taken aback. No one was allowed to go there. The driver was a middle-aged man. He was about to reject the request.

Then he felt the strength of the masked man was powerful. He was afraid that the masked man might get offended.

He then agreed to drop him off at the place.

On the other hand, I saw through the thoughts of the driver. His eyes showed fear. I entered the cab and sat in the back seat.

A few minutes later,

The cab departed from the place. It lifted into the mid-air. It started following other cars in the lane.

20 minutes later,

The car landed in front of the Flynn Family Estate. The road stretch of the family estate was empty. No shops or hawkers on the street.

Only the cab driver came to the place. I stepped out and paid the fare to the driver. The driver immediately drove away from the place.

Once he was gone, I turned towards the main gate. I started walking up to the gate.

There I saw two guards standing behind the main gate. Upon seeing me, they became alert.

I arrived in front of the gate. The guards saw that the visitor was a masked man.

"No one is allowed to come here," one of the guards said.

Hearing that, I showed my card.

"I’m from Crystal City, one of the satellite cities under the Magic City," I said to them.

Hearing that, their faces changed drastically.

They understood it must be a big shot. Even though they were quite doubtful, they didn’t dare to question it.

One of them decided to go back and inform the higher-ups. Seeing that, I didn’t stop him. If I wanted, I could use the help of the zero puppet.

But this time, I wanted to check myself. The alternative identity of Appraiser Frank was enough.

The other guard stayed quiet. In the meantime, I used the system to check the surroundings.

The system result came up negative. The system didn’t find anything suspicious so far.

Shortly afterwards,

The guard came back with an old man. The old man was dressed in a tuxedo. The old man was carrying a serious expression on his face.

The old man saw me. He then told the guards to open the main gate. The old man then greeted me inside.
