Montex Shipping Company,
Upon entering the establishment, we proceeded directly to the assistance counters. Fortunately, Sam Patrick had already secured an appointment with the establishment's director. Representative personnel then escorted both individuals to a designated meeting chamber. Within, an elderly gentleman awaited our arrival. He offered a cordial reception to Sam Patrick and the cloaked individual, having been informed by a prior telephone conversation with Sam Patrick that the cloaked man was, in fact, the Magic Lord. Both my companion and I were shown to our seats, while the aged man occupied his position behind the grand desk. His demeanor was notably stern, a reaction I keenly perceived stemmed from the display of my formidable power. The gentleman before us held the esteemed title of Supreme Wizard.
"Manager Robert," Sam Patrick stated, "we have previously discussed the particulars. My benefactor requires passage aboard your vessel." Upon hearing this, Manager Robert offered a gentle smile and retrieved an item from a desk drawer – a ticket, distinguished by its opulent golden hue. This he presented to the masked figure. I, for one, felt a surge of surprise, having anticipated a more complex negotiation with potential stipulations. Nevertheless, I accepted the golden ticket and secured it within my storage bracelet.
"Manager Robert, your assistance is greatly appreciated," I conveyed to him. Robert appeared momentarily taken aback. "My Lord," he responded, a note of deference in his voice, "it is a profound honor for our company to facilitate the journey of the Magic Lord." A flicker of uncertainty crossed his features, a subtle nuance I readily deciphered. Sam Patrick, too, seemed to grasp an unspoken concern.
"Do you require any assistance?" I inquired. Robert let out a chuckle, a sound tinged with slight apprehension. "Ha... Ha... Ha..., My Lord. It seems I cannot conceal my true concerns from your discerning gaze," he admitted. "The treacherous expanse of the seas is unfortunately the domain of fearsome monster clans. Each voyage incurs losses as we endeavor to transport our passengers safely across these waters." He continued, "While our hired guards provide protection, should the need arise for further aid, we would be immensely grateful if you, my Lord, could lend your considerable strength."
Upon hearing his words, understanding dawned upon me. It was no wonder he had not pressed for further conditions; his true need was for support. "Very well, I shall offer my aid should the necessity arise," I affirmed. A palpable wave of relief washed over Sam Patrick. He, too, was aware of the dangers lurking in the sea but had overlooked the crucial step of broaching the subject with the Masked Lord. "Manager Robert, when is the vessel scheduled to depart the port?" Sam inquired. "In two days' time. You shall receive a notification prior to our setting sail," Manager Robert replied. "Excellent," Sam Patrick acknowledged.
Following a brief exchange of further discussions, we departed the premises, Manager Robert personally escorting us to the exit. A few moments later, our airborne transport ascended, initiating its return journey towards the Patrick Estate. During our transit, amidst our ongoing conversation, an unexpected obstruction materialized ahead. Two colossal flying trucks abruptly halted our progress, positioned in such a manner as to completely monopolize the available airspace and leave no room for maneuver. Our vehicle found itself immobilized, unable to deviate its course in mid-air. Other vehicles swiftly navigated past us. While Sam Patrick remained unperturbed, a sense of unease began to creep into my mind. I fixed my gaze upon the two obstructing vehicles. Emerging from our transport, a Magic Lord and his two accompanying guards disembarked, intending to investigate the peculiar situation.
[Ding! Hostile entities detected. Their power levels are comparable to Magic Lords and Supreme Wizards.] The system's announcement resonated within my consciousness. In the very next instant, my hand moved with lightning speed. I delivered a precise strike to the driver's neck, followed immediately by an identical action against Sam Patrick. Both were rendered unconscious. Subsequently, I relocated them to the confines of the system's storage space. Almost instantaneously, individuals began disembarking from the trucks. One, in broad daylight, unleashed a potent magical assault targeting the Magic Lord and his companions. A crimson magical sigil materialized overhead, from which an array of fiery orbs descended like a meteor shower. The Magic Lord and his associates bore the brunt of this initial onslaught. A deafening explosion rent the air as the magical flames erupted outwards, annihilating everything in their fiery path. The airborne vehicles unfortunate enough to be caught in the inferno were instantly engulfed in flames. This was no mere fire spell; it was an attack wrought by a killer possessing the prowess of a Magic Lord.
The system continued its urgent warnings in my mind. In the subsequent moment, the conflagration surged towards my own vehicle. Just as the flames were about to engulf our transport, I found myself instantaneously relocated within the opulent confines of the Gregor Mansion. The air still thrummed with residual energy as, an instant later, the flying car exploded in a brilliant flash of fire. The magical flames burned with an almost supernatural intensity, a testament to the power of a flame-specialized Magic Lord. It was evident that this spell incorporated inherent magical laws. Beings of Supreme Wizard level and below would have been utterly annihilated by such potent, rule-infused flames. The aerial vehicle became an inferno, a blazing spectacle that caused the complexions of the nearby guards to pale considerably. Their mandate was protection, a duty they had now demonstrably failed. Confusion and despair gripped them; they were unsure of their next course of action. The sheer power of the flames, imbued with the rule-bending capabilities of a Magic Lord, rendered any approach perilous. Those who dared draw near risked suffering the same fiery fate. From my vantage point within the Gregor Mansion, I observed the fiery demise of the vehicle. I would have remained and continued observing, but the system issued a grave warning. Previously, I had taken proactive action, striking an elder and leaving him severely injured. However, had he unleashed a magical spell attack, the outcome would undoubtedly have been drastically different. Fortunately, my swift initiative at that time had successfully created a diversion and averted a far worse scenario.
Everyone now is convinced I am a Magic Lord. I shook my head, my gaze still fixed on the unfolding events. Boom! Magic Lords were locked in combat. An enemy magic user attempted to escape, but found themselves pursued by two of our own Magic Lords. The rest of the onlookers kept their distance, fearful of the encroaching magic flames. A single touch from those flames meant certain annihilation. They watched from afar, hesitant to draw any closer. Soon, the airborne vehicle was reduced to embers. However, the intense flames refused to dissipate. Within the Gregor Mansion, I recognized this as the perfect moment to make my appearance. My first stop was the system space. The two unconscious individuals remained there. I brought them out with me. The very next instant, the scorching magic flames were about to engulf us. If they were to strike the two of them, their demise would be inevitable. I quickly deployed a 7th-stage instant magic spell. "Repulsive Force!" A wave of repelling energy emanated from my body, expanding outwards with incredible speed. This repulsive force collided with the oncoming magic flames. Boom! A thunderous explosion rent the air. The destructive power of the repulsive magic rapidly annihilated the surrounding flames.
