The masked man arrived in Blue Falls City and was taken in by the kind Patrick Wizard Family. While he rested and gathered information, the Sky Water Tower assassins, angered by their elder's defeat, placed a bounty on the Patrick family and the masked man. The Patrick family learned of the bounty and the masked man's powerful background, agreeing to help him secure passage across the sea.

Blue Falls City-Patrick Mansion

Gratitude was expressed to Sam Patrick for his assistance. He issued another caution regarding the assassin organization.

Following further counsel, he departed from the premises.

The door was then shut, and I began to deliberate. The assassin organization presented an intriguing prospect. Had it not been for the mission, I would have been keen to confront them.

However, caution was still warranted. The Magic Lord had been an adversary. A contingent of Magic Lords might be dispatched to apprehend me.

It seemed improbable that they would dispatch a Forbidden Wizard for my elimination. Such powerful individuals are not readily available, and their appearance would undoubtedly draw the attention of the major factions in this region.

Consequently, such a formidable presence would not be deployed. Instead, the movements of the Magic Lords are predictable in this context.

Subsequently, I materialized within the Gregor Mansion. Retreating to my chambers, I sought repose.

Meanwhile,

The assassins affiliated with the Sky Water Tower received their directive. They initiated their departure from their clandestine bases within Blue Falls City.

These bases were not ostentatious structures but rather discreet hideouts situated in the most secluded locales.

The operatives slipped away from their positions, heading towards the Patrick Estate. Their intention was not to reveal themselves but to maintain a watchful presence from the perimeter.

The ensuing day unfolded thusly,

The operatives maintained their vigil outside the Patrick Wizard Family's estate, concealed within various surrounding establishments.

Their objective was to await the departure of the masked individual, the target responsible for assaulting their elder.

After completing my preparations, I reappeared in the chamber. To accommodate any potential visitors, I reclined upon the bed.

A brief interval later,

A gentle rapping sound came from the door. Proceeding to open it, I found the butler awaiting my presence.

"My Lord," the butler announced, "the Master awaits you at the dining table."

"I shall be there shortly," I responded, following the butler.

Upon entering the dining hall, I observed everyone already seated. Their attention turned to me moments later. Acknowledging them with a nod, I proceeded to the final available seat.

As I took my seat, my gaze met that of the elder seated at the head table. He appeared to be the current Family Head, identified as Tom Patrick.

My prior observation of the gathered wizards revealed a distinct pattern: the main family members and those serving within the estate all wielded water-based magic.

This strongly suggested an innate affinity for water-related magic among those born within this lineage. As dinner commenced, Sam Patrick was the primary contributor to the conversation.

I remained reserved, attending to my own affairs.

Tom Patrick's scrutiny of the guest was evident. He expressed astonishment, having never encountered an individual exhibiting such profound composure.

Despite the guest's masked visage, it was clear he was entirely unfazed by Tom Patrick's presence. The guest was evidently a Forbidden Wizard.

Unlike any other individual within the city, who would typically offer a greeting, this person exhibited the opposite behavior, making no attempt to initiate discourse.

This observation did not escape the notice of other family members present.

Sam Patrick harbored a firm conviction that the masked individual possessed a significant background. The swift defeat of the Magic Lord in a single move indicated a potential capacity to contend with a Forbidden Wizard.

Time elapsed,

Following the conclusion of the dinner, Tom Patrick departed, accompanied by his wife and daughter-in-law. Sam Patrick remained, alone with me.

"My Lord," Sam Patrick stated, "today, I shall escort you to the shipping company. A vessel is scheduled to depart the city in the coming days."

"Should the opportunity present itself, we may secure passage; otherwise, you would be compelled to wait until the month's end. No other departures are slated before then," Sam Patrick elaborated.

A smile touched my lips upon hearing this. However, a plan had already taken shape in my mind. Given that the ship's departure was imminent, I intended to covertly board it. The acquisition of tickets was merely a procedural formality.

Twenty minutes hence,

We departed the estate in a flying vehicle. Two additional flying cars, one preceding and one following, provided escort for Sam Patrick's security.

Two Magic Lords were stationed within these escort vehicles to ensure Sam Patrick's safety.

"Do you believe they would dare to act within the city limits?" I inquired.

Sam Patrick's expression grew serious.

"If the compensation is sufficient, then any action is possible. The majority of assassins and spies are wanted fugitives across the coastal nations," he replied.

"The killer organization represents their sole recourse. They can only obtain resources through undertaking missions, unless they have resolved to abandon their homelands and relocate elsewhere," Sam elaborated.

A flicker of comprehension crossed my eyes at his words.

The coastal nations were not without their strength; powerful families held sway here. The Patrick Estate appeared as a typical estate, possessing considerable land holdings.

However, the Family Head's status as a Forbidden Wizard signified a perilous existence for those who transgressed the law in this territory.

The flying vehicle navigated towards the main thoroughfare. The aerial traffic appeared normal, and the vehicles subsequently entered the designated lane.

Concurrently,

The assassins and spies had maintained their extended surveillance. They identified the Patrick Family's distinctive vehicle.

Information was promptly exchanged amongst them, and the assassins commenced trailing the vehicle. Nevertheless, they refrained from revealing their presence.

It turned out that vehicles were also part of their movement strategy. Approximately twenty minutes elapsed. The airborne vehicles entered the domain of the Montex Shipping Company, proceeding swiftly toward the central edifice. Subsequent to their arrival, the flying cars alighted upon the ground in sequence. Gazing through the aperture, I observed the colossal structure looming ahead. Beyond its impressive architecture, the location itself was a marvel. The company's positioning, remarkably close to the coastline, filled me with wonder. The azure expanse of the ocean stretched out before my eyes. I disembarked and accompanied Sam Patrick toward the primary structure. Meanwhile, the assassins who had been trailing us were halted at the entrance. A prerequisite for entry was the verification of their identities. While the Patrick Wizard Family was universally acknowledged, these individuals had arrived unaccompanied. Consequently, granting them immediate access was not feasible. Unwilling to submit to the required examination, the assassins opted to depart. Their intention was to find an alternative vantage point. Their plan was to strike once the intended target had exited the premises.
