Gravity Mage with Level-Up System Chapter 1915: Clever Escape

Goldkeep City
On the airship deck, no one suspected a thing initially. Even the ground crew saw nothing amiss, believing a patron had simply entered the deck area.
Several minutes later,
An airship lifted off, soaring over the city. In a flash, it neared the city's boundary.
Multiple airborne craft were observed navigating the skies, moving in a single file line.
This was due to the vigilant City Guards conducting inspections on all aerial vehicles. However, the airships themselves were not the focus of their attention,
as they had already passed inspection at the airship station. The airship was cleared to proceed, leaving the city gates behind.
Unbeknownst to anyone, a masked individual was concealed within the confines of one of the airships.
Meanwhile,
I materialized back at the shop. Opening the door, I stepped out. My gaze swept over the passengers relaxing on the deck.
They were engrossed in the scenic views. I then moved towards the edge. The next instant, I launched myself from the airship, descending rapidly toward the ground.
Swoosh!
Shortly after, I touched down. Without allowing time for discovery, I vanished into the nearby forest. In the blink of an eye, I was swallowed by the dense woods.
Then, I found myself inside the Gregor Mansion.
Back on the deck, the passengers were taken by surprise. A handful had indeed witnessed someone leap from the airship's edge.
The female mages cried out in alarm. Responding to the panicked shouts,
the manager and the security guards rushed to the deck. They were stunned by the unfolding scene.
Everyone cranled their necks, looking down. Inquiries were made, confirming that someone had indeed jumped from the airship.
However, no one had managed to get a clear look at the person's face. All they knew was that the individual was a male mage. The manager and guards were visibly taken aback.
They were uncertain if the jumper was one of the registered passengers. The airship halted its journey. A headcount was promptly conducted, and attendance was verified.
Remarkably, every passenger was accounted for. The individual who leaped from the deck was someone else entirely.
The manager and the guards then proceeded to check the staff.
All crew members were present and accounted for. Not a single soul was missing. The manager then went to report the incident to the Guardian, a being of considerable might known as a Magic Lord.
The elder figure's eyes snapped open, a sharp glint flashing within them.
Swoosh!
He vanished from his initial position. In the very next moment, the manager and his subordinates found themselves standing outside a door, waiting.
None dared to enter without explicit permission. They remained outside, anticipating the command.
Despite their repeated requests, permission to enter was not granted. The airship remained suspended in the mid-air.
Meanwhile, the elder figure was on the ground. He cast his spiritual sense across the area, extending it over a hundred meters in mere moments.
Yet, he found no trace of the elusive individual.
The elder raised his gaze, a flicker of bewilderment crossing his face. He too had observed someone leaping from the deck. Initially, he had assumed it was one of the passengers.
But then he realized the jumper was not among the passengers. This realization had dawned on him before the manager and the guards.
"Escaped!"
the elder exclaimed in surprise. After several more minutes of fruitless searching, he returned to the airship's deck.
A wave of surprise rippled through the assembled individuals upon seeing the elder. Some quickly recognized him and offered immediate greetings.
Following their lead, the other mages also paid their respects. They learned that the elder was, in fact, a Magic Lord. The gravity of the situation caused the other passengers to adopt a more serious demeanor as they greeted him.
As if on cue, the manager and the guards arrived. Upon acknowledging the elder, they too offered their salutations.
"Elderly one, an unknown individual leaped from this vessel," the manager reported.
Hearing this, the elder instructed, "Notify the city administration. I suspect the person they are searching for is the one who just escaped."
Gasp!
A collective intake of breath was heard. The passengers had been aware of the ongoing search. Some amongst them hailed from influential factions.
They were privy to the warrant issued by Loyd Lion and were astonished to find the subject of the pursuit had been on board.
The elder returned to his previous position. The passengers regained their composure. The airship resumed its outward journey.
The manager transmitted the pertinent information to the city administration. Upon receiving the news in Goldkeep City, the officials were in shock.
They promptly reported the development to Loyd Lion. Loyd, however, was initially incredulous. The notion that someone had slipped through his grasp was difficult to accept, and it incensed him.
After hearing the full account, he was surprised to learn that even the formidable Guardian Magic Lord had been unable to locate the escapee. He surmised that even he, if he had been present, might have faced a similar challenge.
Loyd, never one to act rashly, considered that the masked man might possess a significant backing. If the individual could evade detection under the watchful eyes of a Magic Lord, Loyd could grudgingly accept the failure.
With this realization, he managed to quell his anger.
Time flowed onward,
I emerged from my hiding place several hours later. Night had fallen. I ascended into the air. A thorough scan of the surroundings was conducted.
The vicinity was entirely devoid of peril. Subsequently, I retrieved the raven aircraft. Previously, it had been subjected to the corrosive touch of toxic raindrops. With the cockpit door swung open, I settled myself within its confines. Swoosh! Moments after, I initiated the controls, guiding the aircraft into the sky. It soared rapidly above the cloud layer, its stealth capabilities then engaged. Following this, I repositioned myself near the cabin door, occupying a window seat. The window was opened just a crack, admitting a gust of chilly air that caressed my features. It was only at this juncture that a sense of ease began to settle in. I had scarcely anticipated an eleventh-hour complication. Miraculously, a timely warning had been received. The Golden Lion Royal Family was a force I was not yet equipped to confront. My current priorities dictated that I must first reach the opal magic forest. The raven aircraft proceeded on its course without issue, a verdant expanse of forest stretching out beneath it. No signs of human habitation were visible anywhere in the vicinity. For the present, the raven aircraft encountered no obstacles. I resolutely cast aside any disquieting contemplations.
