Appraiser Frank met Assistant Jonah at the Crystal City shop, agreeing to appraise new antiques at night amid probing gazes from various forces. The Flame Elemental Tower observed silently as the Green Elemental Tower faced intense backlash and internal frustration over Magic Lord Clint's escape. Shocked by Wizard Vincent's disappearance upon Frank's return, Black Tower's Forbidden Wizard Remi rushed to the border to hunt him, while other wizards' challenge plans crumbled.

Border

Forbidden Wizard Remi manipulated the space layers to reduce the distance dramatically.

Should the outside world discover his true objective, he might end up as a complete laughingstock.

Yet, such concerns didn't faze him at all. His sole focus remained on fulfilling the mission.

The astonishing potential displayed by Wizard Vincent sent chills down spines. At such a tender age, he had already ascended to Supreme Wizard status.

His innate talent and rapid advancement rivaled the genius prodigies from prestigious wizard families.

Those family prodigies enjoyed heavy protection and rarely ventured out into the open.

Since Wizard Vincent was deemed a talent on par, this presented the perfect chance to take out Vincent Carey.

It would deliver a devastating strike to the Silver Tower.

Remi arrived at the border swiftly. Hovering mid-air amid the clouds, he concealed himself perfectly. No one could detect or spot him, thanks to his hidden aura.

Time ticked by slowly.

Vehicles streamed in and out of the area. Powerful wizards passed through, among them Supreme Wizards and Magic Lords. Still, no trace of Wizard Vincent appeared.

"Where's that kid hiding?" he muttered to himself.

Numerous paths existed to exit the territory. This particular border post stood as the quickest route from the magic city.

Remi wasted no time. He reached out to his team members, demanding the freshest intel and deploying extra forces to every other border.

Those reinforcements had to be Magic Lords. Only they could track down Supreme Wizard Vincent Carey; anything less, and he'd slip away.

The Black Tower moved with urgency. They dispatched their Magic Lords to the borders and even recruited more from external sources.

Crystal City - Shop

Come midnight, the zero puppet came back and delivered its report. The intel this round proved less crucial than before.

I stored the zero puppet back in the Gregor Mansion, planning its release come morning.

Otto slumbered peacefully in his quarters. Should he attempt to listen in, the system would alert me instantly, ensuring our talk stayed secure and private.

Afterward, I stepped out to the rooftop terrace, awaiting the informer's arrival.

I wasn't sure if the Infinite Wizard Association would pass on intel to this alternate persona of mine.

Swoosh!

Soon enough, a dark shadow slipped onto the grounds. It darted up to the terrace and materialized before me as a wizard in black robes.

A spark lit up in my eyes.

"Hi, I'm Appraiser Frank. I heard from Supreme Wizard Vincent that you'll be sharing intel with me daily," I greeted him.

I had subtly altered my voice tone, of course.

The black-clad wizard caught my words.

He grew curious about Appraiser Frank and attempted to peer through the white magic mask. But the mask's power overwhelmed him, triggering a warning sense of danger.

[Ding! The informer tried to probe the host just now.]

The system alert rang in my head. It startled me, as I sensed nothing. Clearly, the informer's magic probe had been incredibly faint.

"Don't you find it rude to probe someone like that?" I snapped coldly.

The black-clad wizard froze in shock. His spell was so discreet that only a Magic Lord or higher could notice.

He glanced at Appraiser Frank, stunned, attributing it perhaps to Appraisal Magic prowess.

"I apologize. I got carried away for a moment," the informer responded.

"Can we get to the intel now?" I pressed.

The black-clad wizard gave a nod.

"We've learned the Black Tower is deploying Magic Lords to the borders. Seems they're after capturing someone," the black wizard revealed.

That news made my eyebrows shoot up in astonishment. At last, word on the Black Tower. But who exactly were they hunting?

The black-clad wizard went on with more intel, though nothing matched the weight of the Black Tower update.

I listened attentively for several minutes longer. Once finished, the black-clad wizard departed the scene.

I headed back to the gallery office to evaluate the antique pieces Assistant Jonah had delivered earlier.

The antiques sat on the desk—relics from a bygone era, worn and fractured magic artifacts. Some lay in pieces, others preserved whole.

Activating the system's probe feature, I began identifying each one. I jotted down the appraisal details on paper, covering valuables and trash alike.

Every single item they'd hauled in required my appraisal.

Time flew by.

I finished assessing over thirty items. With that done, I retreated to my room.

The next day, the shop buzzed open as normal. Staff were up and working, customers trickled in—including spies from rival factions.

The Flame Elemental Tower and Green Elemental Tower's schemes to tarnish the Silver Tower had flopped. Talk of the Silver Tower's glory echoed among the crowds once more.

By now, Wizard Vincent's disappearance had spread throughout the public. The excitement surrounding the appraisal shop had cooled down a little.

Time flew by.

Early in the morning, Assistant Jonah arrived at the shop to pick up the appraised goods. Thrilled to see everything completed, he thanked Appraiser Frank profusely, grabbed the items, and departed.

In the meantime, the Black Tower's forces waited just beyond Crystal City's limits.

They lingered to check if Wizard Vincent Carey might come back. Despite deploying wizards along the borders, the Black Tower had still failed to track him down.

Forbidden Wizard Remi grew more and more frustrated. He couldn't figure out what happened; once again, they'd lost sight of their target.

His thoughts drifted to the White Silver faction within the Silver Tower. Could Forbidden Wizards Erwin or Charlotte have assisted Wizard Vincent in slipping out of the city?

If so, their efforts here were utterly futile. Remi quickly sent a report to the higher-ups.

He refused to squander more time in this spot; locating the positions of those two Forbidden Wizards took priority.
