Old Man Martin warned Vincent about the Black Tower's suspicious silence before leaving for Magic City. Manager Lara confirmed the exposure of Magic Lord Clint and the Green Elemental Tower, drawing White Silver Faction support against them. The Zero Puppet reported Clint's rage in his hotel, leading Vincent to dispatch it to monitor the Black Tower. An informer noted other forces withdrawing from Crystal City. Vincent lingered on the terrace, instincts warning of a potential nighttime clash with Clint.

Hotel

Magic Lord Clint stepped out from the hotel room. His temper soured greatly. Despite devouring the magic treasures, sleep refused to come.

His communicator buzzed incessantly. He realized the members were phoning him without pause. Their motives were clear to him.

Now that his crimes stood revealed, the Green Elemental Tower refused to defend him.

On the contrary, punishment awaited him to placate the masses and preserve the Green Elemental Tower's honor.

He felt unprepared for such retribution, having simply obeyed the commands from above. His tasks were fulfilled.

All had proceeded smoothly until Wizard Vincent unveiled a cunning old scheme. Greater caution would have uncovered those recording devices.

Clint proceeded down the hallway. He paused before a particular door. Supreme Wizard Wade occupied that space. Cody's chamber lay next door.

Knock!

Clint rapped on the entrance, receiving no reply from within.

"What’s going on?" he pondered.

A horrifying notion flashed through his mind. His mental power probed the interior, only to meet protective barriers.

In the following instant, he retracted his mental power. Drawing attention from the staff or hotel overseer was unwise.

His own reputation lay shattered already.

"Humph," he snorted coldly.

Those two had likely already vacated the premises, he surmised. Clint pressed on with his steps. A specific goal beckoned.

Silently, he departed the hotel. City enforcers watched the Crystal Community, yet he knew a stealthy path inside.

Swoosh!

Moments later, he arrived there. Every access point stood sealed by authorities.

His aura diminished to its lowest. He slipped inside undetected. Clint puzzled over his own arrival here.

Still, vengeful fury guided his steps. Vincent Carey needed a severe reckoning. Such retribution would ease his grudge.

Swiftly, he neared the mansion structure. Yet prior to approaching, a silhouette appeared on the balcony.

Surprise arched Clint's brows. Suspended mid-air, he peered at the figure. Another Magic Lord, perhaps.

Quickly, he noted it wasn't the familiar elder.

Swoosh!

Clint approached the balcony. Identifying the occupant above, rage reddened his gaze. Anger surged within.

Shock also stirred in his core.

Gently, he touched down on the terrace.

"I didn’t expect you to be awake. Are you waiting for me?" Clint asked.

He suppressed his fury.

Meanwhile, a sharp gleam lit my eyes. His coming was foreseen, yet its reality challenged my poise.

Breathing deeply, I declared, "I knew you would come. I had already made some arrangements."

At those words, Clint deployed his mental power, hunting for reporters. None appeared.

Relief finally settled then. Yet complete faith in his counterpart evaded him.

Wizard Vincent likely hid another ploy, unknown as yet. Clint kept scanning with mental power.

Still, nothing emerged.

"This b@stard is a Supreme Wizard. Yet he is calm when facing a Magic Lord like me. Then there must be others hiding somewhere."

"If I take action against him, they might appear," Clint thought.

Earlier humiliation still stung. He refused to repeat it.

Swoosh!

Clint cast a final glance at Vincent Carey prior to fleeing. Instantly, he quitted the Crystal Community.

The hotel saw no return. Crystal City lay behind as he aimed to depart. A prior scheme had crumbled.

Vincent Carey's late-night vigilance caught him off guard. His acuity spared him the pitfall.

Meanwhile,

The system confirmed his absence.

Phew!

A heavy sigh escaped me. Combat loomed as my dread. A spell from him would compel my retaliation.

Punishment would strike us equally.

Luckily, Magic Lord Clint withdrew. His offenses remain etched, however. Beyond Magic City's limits, doom awaits him.

Meanwhile,

Magic Lord Clint shunned the Green Elemental Tower. A bold deviation took him borderward.

Escaping the domain would dodge the glare.

...

Magic City

By the next day, Magic City reeled in disbelief. Clint's scandal ignited everywhere. The video reached all eyes. Magic Lord Clint faced total disgrace.

The Green Elemental Tower awaited Clint's arrival. Hotel confinement reports reached them, masking his flight.

Clint's getaway preceded it all. Universal backlash was no surprise to him.

With the passage of time, criticism began pouring in against the Green Elemental Tower. Every one of the Magic Towers belongs to the Mage Union.

Yet, a strict hierarchy governs them. Certain towers are highly favored, while others are thoroughly despised.

The Red Magic Tower reigned as the top favorite and the mightiest among all Magic Towers. The Black Tower holds the spot of least favorite. At present, the Black Tower remains uninvolved in the controversy.

Rather, the Green Elemental Tower has seized the position of least favorite. Waves of negative gossip dominated the spotlight.

Even as the Mage Union dominates the entire planet, it faces no shortage of rivals.

Should external powers discover this internal conflict unfolding, they would eagerly exploit the weakness. Such a scenario bodes ill for the Mage Union.

Divided though they are by factions, when viewing the Mage Union as a unified entity, they permit no issue to undermine their prestige.
