Vincent explored SunHaven City with a driver, probing buildings but finding nothing until the protected wizard training facility. Returning to the hotel, he noticed malicious staff gazes and system-detected intruder signs in his room. After calling Hank, Gary Crest arrived at the door with the staff, his anger turning to fear upon recognizing Vincent.

Sun Crest Hotel

Gary Crest felt his courage drain away. Momentarily, he believed he might have mistaken the man's identity, yet his logical thinking swiftly took over.

Observing the individual from such a short range, there was no way he could have identified him wrong.

The celebrated emerging talent from the Silver Tower stood directly before him. Additionally, he owned the recently opened appraisal shop in Crystal City.

"Are you Vincent Carey?" Gary inquired.

Upon hearing this, the two staff members froze in shock. They had anticipated a different turn of events, but their young master uttered something completely unexpected.

"The name rings a bell," whispered the female staff member. The male staff member reacted similarly.

A smile tugged at the corners of my mouth.

Gary Crest trembled. He now felt utterly convinced that the man before him was the renowned Silver Tower Wizard. Regret flooded him for showing up here.

He had installed spy cameras in the hotel room and feared Vincent Carey had already discovered and removed them. He wished to avoid letting the issue blow up further.

"Pleasure to meet you, Vincent Carey. I never imagined running into you here," he stated.

In response, I questioned, "And you are...?"

Gary stood dumbfounded for a moment. Then he replied, "I neglected to introduce myself. I'm Gary Crest, an official member of the Flame Elemental Tower. I also hail from one of the wizard families in this area."

His voice carried politeness and deference.

The staff members trailing him were astonished. They hadn't foreseen their young master shifting to such a courteous demeanor so abruptly.

Just then, Gary Crest’s bodyguards rushed into view. Gary was startled and gestured for them to avoid stirring trouble. I noticed Gary’s anxious look too.

Witnessing that, I nearly burst into laughter. Gary Crest obviously feared I might strike.

"Fine, I've got tasks ahead. If you require assistance, feel free to ask," I told Gary Crest.

Gary appeared surprised. He shook his head, replying, "No issue. I'm heading out immediately."

With those words, Gary signaled the staff and his guards with a glance. They departed the spot at once.

After their exit, my eyes sparkled. I'd figured he'd stir up trouble, yet he seemed utterly intimidated.

Perhaps the spy cams were the cause; he probably dreaded any leak about the cameras.

That explained his poised and steady manner. Shaking my head, I proceeded indoors.

Outside

Gary Crest made his way back to the lobby. He spun around to face the male and female staff members.

"See, it's fortunate you didn't spark any conflict. He's someone I can't afford to cross. Stay cautious until he departs the hotel," he cautioned them.

The staff members quaked in fear. They counted their blessings; had they challenged the man, the fallout would have been severe.

The Following Day

I arose from bed and launched into my morning regimen after stepping out. It spanned a full hour.

Next, the mana chamber crossed my mind. I resolved to utilize the training center I'd checked out the day before.

Once prepared, I exited the hotel. Upon reaching the lobby, I noted its hush, with merely a handful of people stirring.

I cast a look at the two staff members, who offered smiles upon spotting me.

I gave them a nod before striding outside.

"Gary Crest proved wise. Others might have already alerted their superiors," I mused.

Nevertheless, I chose vigilance. Hailing a cab, I directed the driver to the training facility.

Moments later, the vehicle set off. As always, I savored the blurring views. Soon enough, it reached the destination and touched down gently.

I emerged, settled the fare, and watched the cab depart.

Approaching the entrance, the doors parted on their own, and I made for the reception desk.

I conveyed my needs to the attendant. They outlined the guidelines, mentioning higher fees for non-members.

I handed over 100 mid-grade mana stones for a four-hour session. A staff member escorted me to the mana chambers lined up neatly.

The attendant pointed out my assigned room, featuring an external monitor. He input the code and programmed the four-hour timer. Instantly, the door slid open.

"The door will unlock automatically after four hours. Exit then," the staff member instructed.

I expressed thanks and entered the mana chamber. The door sealed shut behind me.

Buzz!

Within moments, dense, pure mana flooded the chamber. In no time, it saturated the area. I moved to the middle, settling cross-legged on the floor.

Shutting my eyes, I activated the Gravity Ark mental method. Gradually, gravity mana seeped into my form.

I directed the gravity mana through the familiar pathway, circulating it throughout my body.

Following the cycle, the gravity mana flowed into the mana core space. The core drew in the mana. Once fully absorbed, I commenced another round.

Crest Family

Gary Crest sat in his quarters, pondering the Supreme Wizard Vincent Carey. Anxiety gripped his heart. Tension etched his features.

He dreaded the revelation of his misdeeds.

The previous day, he'd verified Vincent Carey as a true Supreme Wizard. The reports held truth.

This factored into his choice not to notify his family or the Flame Elemental Tower.

Exposing his own wrongs would leave him without refuge. Particularly, he couldn't remain here.

Thus, he opted for silence. He figured Vincent Carey was here on a task and would depart soon. No point in dwelling excessively.

He trusted Vincent Carey sought no conflict either. Otherwise, his hidden acts would already be out.
