Erwin suppressed the malicious aura from the banned black skull and red book presented by Vincent, noting the Green Elemental Tower's failed framing attempt, and took the dangerous items for safekeeping. Days later, Vincent secretly journeyed to the larger SunHaven City, checked into the Sun Crest Hotel under his original identity, and detected and destroyed 50 hidden spy cameras in his room. Hotel staff discovered the tampering and decided to report it to the Crest family's young master, while threats loomed for the future.

SunHaven City

Through the window, I observed the outer scenery while structures of varying heights rushed past.

The taxi driver handled the vehicle with ease. My eyes drifted toward edifices blending eras old and new.

I pondered the locations of key sites within the restricted zone. My journey here revolved around those prohibited artifacts.

They needed delivery to Forbidden Wizard Erwin.

I couldn't uncover their hidden truths.

Finding another relic or hint in this place would prove advantageous. Instinct suggested it would boost my advancement.

My development flowed steadily already, yet I sought an extraordinary enchanted spot to grasp gravity law's essence.

A few minutes later,

The taxi driver halted before the administration edifice. I exited, settled the fee. With him gone, I wandered the plaza.

The municipal admin building claimed vast expanse in the square. No adjacent structures stood near, and silence enveloped the area.

My sight locked onto the admin structure—a sprawling, broad, multi-level marvel. Countless divisions likely operated inside, unknown to me.

Glancing about, I spotted out-of-town visitors, everyone marveling at the grand design.

I adjusted my position to a prime observation spot. This site felt far from mundane. What caused such a stark difference? I mused.

Then, I activated the system's scan feature.

[Ding! Hidden underground area detected.]

[Ding! The entrance is protected by multiple magic formations.]

The system's alert rang in my head. My heart raced at the news. Instinct proven correct. Crucial edifices might conceal hazardous depths below.

Unauthorized entry into such zones would prove challenging.

Even revealing my true persona, why permit access to secret perils? The admin building beyond reach, I needed other prospects.

Perhaps the system could uncover untouched realms.

With that resolved, I departed the square.

Shortly afterwards,

I hailed another cab and instructed the driver toward the city's vital landmarks, focusing on those tied to administration and Magic Towers.

The driver recoiled in surprise; such a query caught him off guard. Noting his skeptical stare, I cleared my throat and explained, "I’m planning to live here, so I want to know how big the city is."

The driver grasped at once that his passenger aimed to measure the city's might.

En route, he remarked, "Guest, SunHaven City is one of the strongholds of the Flame Elemental Tower. You shouldn’t worry about your safety. You can live here without a care."

"Ha... Ha... Ha... Yes, yes," I replied, chuckling.

...

Sun Crest Hotel

Several black sedans pulled up to the hotel front. The middle-aged duo from reception waited outside for their young master's arrival. Upon sighting the vehicles, they snapped to attention.

Creak.

A door swung open, and a red-haired middle-aged man emerged. Standing six feet with bronzed skin and a wiry build.

His stare blazed fiercely, red pupils echoing his fiery mane. He resembled a bomb on the brink of detonation.

Gary Crest bore that name—a Supreme Wizard of Flame Elemental Tower and Crest clan. The family-operated hotel fell under his command.

Past incidents stayed absent thanks to his formidable status.

Via cunning schemes, he'd exposed countless wizards' vulnerabilities for his gain.

Yet today, someone wrecked devices in a guest room. Rage simmered within. He strode inside flanked by aides, reception staff hurrying after.

He wheeled on the employees; man and woman alike quivered. Blameless yet terrified of his ire.

"Give me the spare key," Gary demanded.

The male attendant swiftly produced it. Gary Crest ascended solo to room 210. Verification awaited.

His departure brought the man's relieved exhale. Dread of vented fury proved baseless.

The woman steadied her thumping pulse. Gary's companions remained as reinforcements.

Unfamiliar with the offender, precedents lacked—Crest family defiance unheard of.

Meanwhile, Gary Crest breached room 210. Surveying it, normalcy prevailed.

Aware of every spy cam nook, he methodically checked each site. Bedside wall yielded zilch.

Ten minutes later,

He emerged stunned. Cams vanished entirely. The occupant had obliterated them.

Those spy cams boasted cutting-edge tech; mental power alone revealed them. Pint-sized and pricey.

True wrath now gripped Gary. Rational souls would've bolted post-discovery. Crest family clashes? Unthinkable.

Flame Elemental Tower affiliates, he an official. Regaining composure, Gary descended to the lobby.

Staff stiffened rigidly.

"Who was the person staying in that room? Did he check out?" Gary inquired.

"Young master, he gave a name, but I don’t think it’s true. The person seemed to have left earlier in a cab," the male staff member replied.

Gary noted no formal departure logged.

"If he comes back, inform me. I’ll be in my room." With that, Gary departed.

Both attendants nodded. Glances exchanged, they sensed brewing storm.
