Vincent Carey recovered from injuries inflicted by Isabella of the Dark Silver Faction using healing potions, as his allies waited anxiously outside. Manager Lara revealed the antagonists' departure after Forbidden Wizard Erwin's intervention and discussed Vincent's plan to buy the appraisal shop with his original identity while his alternate works there, promising to consult Erwin. News of the Crystal City incident spread across cities, prompting Forbidden Wizard Charlotte's swift visit to the Silver Tower before heading there herself. Elder Blake arrived at the mansion to meet Lara amid growing curiosity about the shop.

Moments later, Elder Blake and the officials sat across from Manager Lara. A heavy silence hung in the room.

Manager Lara comprehended the circumstances, yet she felt there ought to be a more suitable reaction.

This marked the second time the Flame Elemental Tower had flouted the rules, stirring trouble in another's domain.

"I know why you guys are here. I think you should wait for now, because someone important is paying a visit," Lara said.

"I'll tell the person about it," I added.

At those words, cold sweat broke out on Elder Blake's forehead. The officials stood stunned. While they couldn't grasp the implication, Elder Blake had a vague inkling.

He assumed a figure from the Silver Tower was arriving. He offered another apology before departing with his group.

Time Passed

Charlotte arrived in the city swiftly. Locating the Crystal Community without delay, she headed straight there. Her flying car touched down right before the mansion.

Spotting the flying car, Manager Lara hurried out. The rest of the staff were startled by her urgent response.

They trailed after her, with Old Man Rock joining them too.

Swoosh!

Emerging outside, their eyes locked onto the white vehicle. Charlotte emerged from it. She glanced at the grand mansion, then scanned the gathered members.

Her gaze pierced through Lara and the staff as if unveiling all their hidden truths.

She noticed their mana cores bound by some restriction, and a sharp gleam flickered in her eyes.

Regaining her composure, she called, "Lara!"

Manager Lara approached promptly to welcome her. The other staff froze in place.

They couldn't gauge her power; rather, an unseen pressure bore down on them. Old Man Rock sensed it even more intensely.

Sweat beaded on his brow as realization dawned: this was probably a Forbidden Wizard. He kept silent.

Charlotte entered, guided by Lara to Vincent Carey. The staff remained outside, aware that a significant guest had come.

Once they vanished from view, Patrick, Otto, and Hank faced Old Man Rock, hoping for insight.

Rock discerned their curiosity but refrained from speaking. He feared the Forbidden Wizard might overhear.

The Room

The system alerted me to a visitor's arrival, so I was alert. The door swung open then. Manager Lara and Lord Charlotte stepped inside. I rose to greet them upon seeing them.

Charlotte verified Vincent Carey's well-being. Surprise and relief washed over her. She had fretted earlier over a potentially grave wound, but now saw her concerns were unfounded.

"So, you've had some rough days after completing such a high-profile mission."

"I didn't believe it when Lara told me that you had become a Supreme Wizard and joined our faction. Now, I can see the truth for myself," Charlotte said in a calm tone.

Those words left me speechless. I stayed silent.

"I knew you had appraisal skills. You had a job earlier in the Silver Tower appraising unknown items."

"If you had wanted, I would have given you an official position. You wouldn't have to waste time doing missions," Charlotte said.

I shook my head and replied, "I wanted to collect resources for my gravity magic. I also needed to find a specific environment where I could comprehend rule power."

"It's hard to collect information alone, so I'm using the shop to do business and gather information at the same time."

Charlotte comprehended and sighed inwardly, her respect for Vincent growing. She recognized the challenges of the Sub-Taboo magic path. A brief silence ensued.

"Alright, I heard you have a new plan. Tell me about it," Charlotte said.

Relief washed over me. I had feared she might urge me to abandon it. Drawing a deep breath, I outlined my plan—the very one shared with Manager Lara.

A Few Minutes Later

Charlotte approved the plan. She saw no flaws and concurred that the appraisal shop required stronger safeguards. Manager Lara's status alone fell short.

"Alright, your plan sounds good," Charlotte said. "But we have to do something about the Flame Elemental Tower."

"To think they dared to cause problems here. Crystal City is one of our main cities and business here is thriving, but their arrival has caused disruptions."

"We need to reassure the locals and business people. I'm going back to convene a meeting and demand answers from the Dark Faction."

"If possible, I can get you compensation. Do you have anything in mind?" Charlotte asked.

I shook my head.

Manager Lara observed nearby, pleased that Lord Charlotte was addressing the issue gravely. Meanwhile, I expressed thanks to Lord Charlotte, and we discussed additional matters.

Soon after, Charlotte and Manager Lara departed Crystal City via the flying car. With their departure, the staff visited me.

"Master, are you alright? How are you feeling?" Hank asked. Patrick and Otto posed questions too, as Old Man Rock observed quietly.

Before responding, I noticed the Vine Monster and Sky Salamander entering. A wide smile lit my face.

"I'm doing fine. There won't be any problems in the future," I assured them.

"Master, who was that female wizard?" Hank asked. The others looked to me eagerly for the answer.

"She is the Forbidden Wizard Charlotte. I am from her faction. She assured me there won't be any more problems," I said. Then, I explained my plan to them.

Shock rippled through them, but they approved. No one wanted the shop or Master Vincent targeted again.

Using Master Vincent's true identity would minimize issues. The group welcomed the plan warmly.

I perceived their sentiments; this change safeguarded the members too.
